Truly a hidden gem in the city centre, really friendly staff, good drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. Can not recommend this place enough.

Was here during Pride and it was so busy for such a small venue!! Food was OK. Nothing special but not bad. Atmosphere was good and staff friendly. This could potentially be a victim of its own success being such a small place.

The Rainbow hub is a little gem that we didn't know existed. What an amazing, vibrant, and inviting little space it is. The staff are amazing, and the service was second to none, we will definitely be back ☆

Excellent afternoon tea. Served on slates rather than traditional 3 tier plate. Great selection, super value and too much to eat! Excess taken away in box provided. Each person 4 finger sandwiches freshly made, 3 small chicken wraps, savoury pie, quiche, 2 scones to share, cheese, fruit with jam and cream, large cream cakes 2 each. Bottomless tea. What's not to like?? Brill!

I visited with my hubbie, we bought an afternoon tea deal on groupon. The staff were fantastic, kind, friendly-nothing was too much. They'd set our table next to a heater as it was cold outside. The food and drinks were delicious and the cafe itself was lovely with a cosy, caring interior. Definitely happy to visit this hidden gem again. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

Had afternoon tea for two. Was lovely. A nice selection of sweet and savoury. Only fault!!! No cream or jam with fruit scone(which was tasty). The lady who served us was very pleasant and could not do enough. Very pleasant experience. Would go back

Me and my partner had our first experience at The Rainbow Hub today and we couldn’t fault a thing - our server was especially friendly and attentive. A really lovely place to eat, drink and socialise.

I was working in the area today so popped in on the recommendation of a local colleague. I chose a choc orange brownie, a Malteser slice and a plum and almond tart. All had generous amounts of filling/topping and were a good size for the price. My family enjoyed them all and I will definitely be returning!

If you’re looking for high quality food and friendly faces it’s the first place I would recommend. There’s 100% something on the menu for anyone whether you like it spicy or mild and no matter what you decide just know that it will be the best food you’ll find you a great price and always amazing quality. I’ve been eating this food since I was a kid and I’ve grew up loving it and growing up with the menu constantly evolving and becoming even more incredible each time. In short get yourself down here you won’t regret it.

Had my dinner here today and thought I should probably write a google review at some point given how often I've visited over the years. The pressed lamb burger with sweet potato and red cabbage salad was just what I needed. This place is a hidden gem and more people in Sunderland and beyond should know about it. On a high street full of fast food and junk food outlets it stands alone as a fresh, healthy and good quality choice. Zoe is a friendly face and takes the time to get to know her regulars which I think is an added touch. Ask for an 'Anything Sandwich'...
