Superb cider in the sun. We had rhubarb cider which I was wary of at first but it was good, proper cider and not too sweet. Not a Strongbow in sight. There are about 8 picnic benches with umbrellas outside for shade on a sunny day. Situated on the Severn Valley railway, its a great way to wait for the train.

Without a doubt one of the best pubs I've ever been to. A nice walk over there via the railway bridge gets you to the front of the pub which is integrated into the steam train station. A lovely traditional interior with lots of railway memorabilia, history and a really nice smell of polished wood throughout. A good selection of real ales on tap (8 on my visit, Hobson's and some other porters as well as golden and IPA ales). It's dog friendly and there's some seating inside the pub as well as the station platform and some tables outside. Outside there's some great views and scenery as well as being able to see trains come in and leave the station. It can be a bit busy especially with people having days out on the steam trains but it's worth visiting. The ales I tried were all spot on. Bridgnorth does have a lot of good pubs but this will be the main one I'll visit.

Plenty of real ales to choose from but they're not kept well at all. My wife and I had a pint of Bathams (one of my favourite beers) and it was watery, flavourless and with a head like dishwater. Shame, we like the pub, but with so many great pubs to choose from in Bridgnorth we won't be going back.

It would be an idea to update the opening hours on Google to ensure they reflect the correct opening hours. It is a real shame, that we arrange to meet friends based on the hours on google showing open until 10pm, however last orders was called at 8.50pm! I realise pubs like this are struggling to stay in business, especially since laying off staff last, but having the correct opening hours online should be a basic. A sign on the door, in a digital age, is too late.

This pub (previously the Station Masters House and waiting room),is both a mecca for railway and real ale enthusiasts. The pub itself has various railway station totems displayed along with other memorabilia.Real Ales are abound along the bar, mainly local Bewdley and Cleobury Mortimer Ales plus other visiting brews and cider. The standard Bathams Bitter is always on tap.Snacks are by way of local pork pies, scratchings, crisps ect. During the day more substantial snacks can be found next door in the buffet/restaurant building like sandwiches, pasties and pork Pies plus cakes, tea and coffee. This is open usually when trains are running so check timetables. The Railwaymans Arms is also on limited opening hours so check Web site or ring in advance to check opening hours. The Railwaymans Arms brings about a touch of nostalgia and the real Ales are a delight.

Wonderful little drinking pub located on the Severn valley railway station at bridgnorth. Highly recommended for a nice pint. Edit! :first review was 3 years previous to this! This place is amazing! I had the last of a barrel of station porter and it wasn't great but I drank the lot. And then... they came out with another free pint! Just to replace the dodgy last of the barrel one! I love this place so much its the heart of my little town. I whole heartedly recommend you come here and have a pint and enjoy the trains. Much love to all the staff here and thank you for the free pint!

Pub is unique, but the parking arrangements are very suspect. I say this because I received a fine for parking. I was actually in the pub for 45mins. Came to the Wharf Inn for lunch, staff helpful and friendly, food was excellent, my husband had the steak and kidney pie. He said it was the best he has had in a long time. We were staying in Church Stretton and discovered this highly recommended Indian restaurant. The staff were very welcoming, and even though the restaurant was getting busy, we were served quickly. My husband and I chose the murghi tikka masala and the achari chicken. Both were delicious and full of flavour. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area. Parking close-by was easy and we paid by card. Probably a good idea to book a table in advance. Thank you Jaipur!
