A great community pub, with great beers, friendly staff and excellent outdoor area including a kids plat area. Live DJ music on Saturday and the Guinness was great. No food was ordered.

Quiet when I went in, but seems to be a nice family friendly pub, nice staff and selection of beer and big beer garden for the kids, didn't eat that day but friends have told me food is good

The Railway Tavern had a Huge outside space for events and special occasions... Large outside Tv for enjoying the live Sports in the hot weather. Friendly staff and very popular with the locals... A great local boozer 😀

Good selection of ales which are up to standard, especially the Guinness which I enjoy good bar staff that you can laugh with 👌👍

Party of 22 for Sunday lunch. They copied pretty well with the numbers while still serving other customers.

Friendly staff, a little rushed off their feet at first after a large group of football fans arrived. Then a few problems with card readers when paying. Sport available on multi TVs and reasonable prices.

Never tried the food but great friendly staff . And dog friendly.

Had a Sunday lunch there today (1st October 2023) and the food was fabulous, nice big portions, beautifully cooked and the puddings were delicious. Will be returning soon thanks guys x

We went for Sunday lunch this Sunday & was not disappointed! Everything you would want and need on a good Sunday roast with extras all at very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this place, they cater for all needs & is very much a family environment. The food was spectacular & I will be returning as often as possible. Matt the waiter was on hand & very efficient & helpful with our requests & the whole team went the extra mile on this especially hot day to make sure we were all happy with the food and service & nothing was too much of an ask.

We’ve been for Sunday Lunch at The Railway Tavern today and it was spot on! Beautiful food and at an amazing price, will definitely be a new Sunday regular outing for us, love it!

Had my baby shower here. All staff were lovely and helpful. Everything was just as I wanted it 😊 had lots of lovely comments from guests of how lovely the venue is. They also done a balloon display for me which was amazing! Thank you so much again for everything ❤

Typical working man's pub. Sports and friendly staff. Fine enough if that's your thing.

The Tavern is very welcoming and does lovely buffet's. They also have an excellent outdoor seating area that is covered and heated.

We had my mom's wake there they made us all feel welcome food was great and cannot thank them enough

Found a little gem in the railway tavern ! A good pint pub grub and some eye candy behind the bar . What more could lads working away want . If there isnt anything on the menu the landlady is quite happy for you to order takeout and eat it in the premises

What a lovely find this was on a trip back from a weekend away. My partner wanted to watch the football and they were very accommodating with the same. They have extremely good prices and everyone is very friendly. Cocktails are 2 for £7???? You can't beat that. Food wasn't served on a Sunday which was a shame but there was an event going on that day for children. All in all it was a lovely place to visit. Would recommend.

Came in to this pub after a long travel down the M6 with my girlfriend. We only stopped off by chance, but we ended up booking a hotel nearby and partying the night away with Sophie the landlord and the rest of the regulars. As previously mentioned, me and my girlfriend had been travelling from Leeds down to London, however after hours of congestion and wrong turns leading us on to the M6 we decided to have a stop off somewhere. We came off at the M6 junction that led us to Cannock and stumbled upon the hidden gem that ended up being the Railway Tavern. When inside, what seemed to be a small pub burst in to life as we entered halfway through Carla’s Karaoke night. We were greeted by friendly locals and the friendliest landlord. Me and my girlfriend decided to stay the night and actually book a hotel round the corner because of the welcoming nature of the people and the place. I would recommend the railway tavern to any passers by on a long journey as it is the best pit stop that anyone could dream of. I will definitely be going back again and again. 10/10 would recommend to anyone

WOW! 2 for £7 on cocktails!!! My first visit to this village pub, after being recommended by regulars. All I can say is I am now going to be a regular. Amazing food selection at an amazing price! Amazing drink prices, with an amazing selection of top shelf alcohol. Entertainment every Saturday, with an amazing atmosphere, family run pub and you can definitely tell! If you haven’t been, you need to!!

This is a nice friendly pub, it's just a shame they've stopped serving food.

Been going here for a few months and always found a friendly welcome. Good choice of beers and love the old style bar cobs. My only one comment is it could just do with a tidy up in the beer garden as there was quite a lot of dog mess.

Suprisingly big on the inside. Plenty of seating and a good selection of beers. Only downfall. Carpark is small and on road parking is limited. But a nice little pub
