Our server, Julian was very welcoming and friendly. He made us feel at home and he was very efficient. The carrot soup was nice as was the roast beef and we shall definitely dine at the Railway again.

On Friday 22nd November we had our Christmas Friendsmas Dinner at The Railway Pub in Putney. We booked the Private area called “the Snug” and arrived to a beautiful set up. They Let us add our own extra decorations, music and use of a TV for our needs . We had a set menu with 2 courses for £35and the food and dessert was great! Our Waiter Panayot was fantastic and worked with the group so well. We had great service all evening and he was always ready to help no matter what we needed! Shoutout to him and the rest of the team. Couldn’t recommend a better place if you have a group of around 12-30

Great location, airy pub with several different areas and a terrace.

Very posh. Only went in for drinks along a pub crawl. A bit on the more expensive side, but after drinking half of a vodka lemonade, they didn't charge me on a top-up of Sprite.

All i have to say is Chris made my experience amazing. I had stopped drinking in putney after other pubs ruined it for me but Chris has made me want to come back again as soon as possible. The amazing drinks, and brilliant chats made me feel so valued as a customer. Thank you chris, i genuinely wish the best for you and hope the management there appreciates the hospitality you provide

Hi came back here after years and they have some really engaged and on the ball bartenders. Chris was looking after me most of the night, excellent customer service!

Food was great but v few gluten options. Other food was great. Pan, our server, was brilliant !!!

This may be a gastropub for Sunday roasts, but they’re clearly not trying to impress on a weekday lunchtime. I had the salt beef sandwich which had beef so chewy/old it was almost inedible. My partner’s cumberland sausages were tolerable, but far from gastopub quality. And the disabled toilet door didn’t lock. Disappointing. I (not we) was offered a ‘free drink next time’ when they realised these issues … but how are we supposed to claim that if there’s different staff on that day? Forget it - we won’t be back.

Best pub in Putney! The Christmas dinner (and specially the Christmas cocktail will be amazing). Dom and the rest of the crew are the best hosts

Lively and friendly pub, lots of TV's strategically placed for sports. Very cool staff and range of beers. 🤘 We recently went there for dinner and the food was really good, my chicken burger was a little dry, but overall I really enjoyed everything else.

Really cool pub in Putney, just outside station. Roof terrace great in summer, beer and service always good, and Sunday roast very good - love the Cauli cheese too! Definitely go!

We hired the cocktail bar for a private event and received excellent service from Dom who worked tirelessly all evening. I'd definitely use this venue again, very friendly staff

We were at a wedding here last week. The staff were friendly, helpful, kind and accommodating. It was a perfect size for about a max of 40. It looked lovely, warm, intimate. The soft seating area was appreciated especially for older guests, and there was a good space in which to dance. The food was good value and tasty and served promptly. We would recommend this as a venue. The staff went the extra mile to ensure everything worked out for us. Well done The Railway Pub.

A brilliant and very friendly pub. We hired the cocktail bar for our running club annual party and couldn't have asked for better service. Sam and Enrico were really helpful in the run up to the event, offering advice and support. On the night itself Dom, our barman, was simply exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and he looked after our 50 guests impeccably and always with a smile. Amazing staff. Thanks guys

Service is ok if you do not mind waiting a little. Otherwise going tot he bar and placing the order there works too. Dom was very attentive and quick with the food. Railway is always a pleasure to go to the Railway.

The building was cursed before where the pubs/ drinking venues before it were always unsuccessful and had poor service. The railway has defied the odds and has immaculate facilities, a strong atmosphere with great playlists and decor. The private dining room upstairs is fantastic and a great beer garden for the warmer weather. As a local this place is fantastic and the staff are amazing.

Excellent Sunday roast yesterday at The Railway Pub. We had 2 x Roast Chicken, 1 x Pork Belly, 1 beetroot and nut Wellington. All were delicious including the Yorkshire Puddings and accompanying vegetables. The beetroot and nut Wellington could have been hotter, it had cooled a bit by the time it was served but this didn't detract from our experience. Service couldn't have been better, nothing was too much trouble including bringing us extra gravy. All the staff were super friendly, especially Lewis. We will definitely return when next in Putney.

Really good food, great atmosphere, however was very busy due being a Saturday afternoon/evening so service wasn’t as regular and had to get up and ask for food order & bill which we sited for a while for, and get our own water as it never turned up. Appreciate though it was very busy, and would come back as staff were friendly just very occupied! Pizza, stack beef burger, chicken wings and truffle fries all verrrrry good!

We loved the service provided by Julian. He has an amazing attitude and service mindset. The ambience was cheerful and lovely. As tourists from Sydney Australia we loved hanging out at the Railway.

We hired out the bar up stairs for a birthday party. We pre-ordered the food which was from the finger food menu and also the pizzas. All the food was amazing, and from start the finish all the staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. We highly recommend using The Railway for any special event.Thank you to everyone for a great evening!

Had the chicken roast and was well below par. The chicken and roast potatoes were dry like the Sahara Desert. The gravy was like water. I was very disappointed. I’ve eaten the roast several times here and this certainly was awful. Only reason I ate it was because I had not eaten since yesterday. Julian however was friendly and took the feedback well. Paying £20 for something where I could cook it at home really does make me consider going again as local.

Newer Putney pub with lovely food, great service, and clean facilities. Only downside was the noise level. The music was very loud at a relatively early part of the night, meaning everyone was shouting to have a chat and made it difficult to relax and have a conversation with our group. Otherwise no complaints!

Excellent service from staff based on a recent visit with family for brunch. They were happy to substitute menu items in the full English breakfast and created 2 smaller servings for the kids, which we appreciated. They were very attentive and we felt very well looked after. The food was a bit salty for me, but this is my personal preference.

Went to the Railway to enjoy the Euros. Great pub with a good range of beers and very tasty pizza. Gerrad was our server and he made our visit really pleasant. We will be back again when we visit London next time

Had a hockey alumni reunion at this pub and was top tier and couldn’t have asked for better service. 30+ people and everyone was thoroughly enjoying every moment!! The bar tenders were amazing especially Riley. The manager on the day was awesome as well catering for everything!! Been again now for a Sunday roast with family and amazing is an understatement!! Maia was our server and was great too!!

I was the Railway today for the Slovakia game, it was my first time at the venue. I was served a great pint of Guinness by the Aussie barman, Michael. Having been served many awful pints of Guinness in London, Michael poured it correctly, waited it to settle and also was so lovely to chat to while he was doing it!

Had a lovely roast today with my dog. Mike was a great waitress.

Friendly staff, and a good selection of beers on tap. Our bartender, as well, mixed 2 drinks perfectly! Beautiful inside, and the view onto the streets was terrific!

Mahi was very sweet and attentive. We had a lovely meal. I was happy to find a vegan option for the roast.

Lovely food served with a smile from Maki in a welcoming environment - I will be back!
