The best seafood I’ve ever had in Lyme Regis - including Mark Hicks! Brilliant, charming, knowledgeable service and atmosphere and the food was so good we came back the next night!! These two young talented people deserve their own restaurant NOW!! ❤️

Came here for dinner. Started, mains and desserts were absolutely unbearable. Smashed back 5/6 starters and mains each. Honestly some of the best food we have ever eaten. The desert was even better. The staff, just the two of them who run the restaurant were so friendly and so much fun. We loved them, thank you so much for the best night ever

If you eat at just one place in Lyme this is it. Fabulous independent cafe/ restaurants that serves locally court fish but with a twist, like the tempura monkfish and cockle popcorn. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable and did everything they could for us to have an amazing experience. It's very dog friendly and and just on the edge of the busy town centre so is a little more relaxing than the hectic beach front. Honestly I cannot recommend this place more!

Delicious fish and great service. They accommodated our dietary restrictions (gluten and dairy free) and the dogs were allowed to join us - a lovely evening

What a fantastic pop up I had the most amazing meal. Whilst primarily a seafood restaurant Mike (with notice) catered for my dietary needs and made me the vegan equivalent of his Seashore Pie which was simply the tastiest pie ever 😊 Paired with delicious wine and a superb dessert recommended by co owner Rozi I can honestly say you won't be disappointed

We had an excellent A La Carte seafood meal at Lyme’s Pop up Kitchen. The monkfish ‘scampi’ and King Prawns in garlic starters were both divine. The mains and dessert being just as delicious. Thank you Rosie and Mike for a lovely evening with fantastic fresh locally sourced food, cooked to perfection.

The Pop-Up Kitchen in Lyme Regis is an innovative and excellent idea - a low-cost small restaurant that allows budding restraunteurs an opportunity to prove their concept (and gain funding) without the risk of opening a larger restaurant and hoping it works out. The result (at least when we went) is a fantastic food experience with the proprietor / chef very much taking a hands on approch. We understand that several larger restaurants in Lyme Regis started ou at the pop-up. We understand that currently Sawu Bona (with a South African themed menu) uses the restaurant Thursday, Friday and Saturday with another entrepreneur operating it on other days. Our party of four all had the tasting menu offered by Sawu Bona. Every course was interesting, tasty and very well cooked and presented. The soup was exceptional, and there were no weak dishes. The wine list was understandably very limited but well-chosen and enjoyed. The service was outstanding. The restaurant is small (we think it seats about 24) and has a pleasant atmostphere, although it's obviously not themed for any particular cuisine or experience. Advance booking is suggested. Highly recommended.

On Saturday afternoon I attended a garden party with the food provided by Baba - cannot say enough about it it was wonderful, all the guests thouroughly enjoyed the selection of salads, frittatas, etc. I could go on.... Last night we went to Doms table and were blown away - yet again (not my first visit) by the inventive and fabulous tasting menu provided by Dom, thank you Baba, Dom & the Pop up kitchen.

We have visited the Popup in Lyme Regis a number of times and I thought it only right to finally write a glowing review of this venue. Always an amazing meal, a wonderful friendly atmosphere and hospitality and we will continue to visit the Popup and tell as many people about it as we can. What a great idea, long may it thrive.

Fabulous food - a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds! The best Greek food we have enjoyed in years, complimented with a lovely bottle of crisp, white wine. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant ambience great. Good to see a small, independent restaurant doing so well.

Walked in to the pop up kitchen to a warm welcome from Ali and her team. A delicious Greek meal with plated gyros of chicken and lamb. Local and Turkish beer on offer and refreshing white wine. Relaxed atmosphere and looking forward to the South African taster later in week. Also popular for take away meals on the Saturday night with every customer afforded a great level of service.

Very poor fish and chips, stale chips, overdone greasy batter, grey fish. This place is very variable but mostly no good nowadays. Won’t be going back

Like one of the last reviewers said worst fish and chips ever had. I hope owner is aware how this business is not half as good as it once was. Visited 10/10/24 about 5pm. Girl who took the order was more interested in looking at phone and forgot to give me change. Then the fish and chips, which over the years were always good, were tasteless , batter overcooked and fish was mushy inside. We really should have complained but put half eaten in the bin. Will be trying somewhere else next year. Over the year we visit Lyme about 6 times but we will be trying different take a way when we come again.
