The Poachers Arms in Cardiff

We didn't eat we only drank, staff and customers were friendly. A large wine and a pint of Worthingtons was cheap only £8.80 for both, next door was almost double. Would go to both again 🍺🥂🍾

Lots of intimidating people at the poachers. They seem to allow drugs in the venue which is concerning. Won't be returning

Nice friendly country type pub in the old St mellons village. I am happy to come here again in the future.

Very welcoming , down to earth boozer. Would recommend they stocked the odd craft beer in bottles for a bit of variety.

Went here for dinner last night and my father in law had an issue with his meal (steak was not a great cut), but the staff went above and beyond the rectify the issue. They upgraded his sirloin to a fillet, gave us the meal for free as well as a free round of four drinks, and were extremely apologetic. Portions are very generous and great value for money, staff are friendly and attentive.

Pub has had a drastic change since the new landlords took over, always clean and tidy, amazing food, great range of drinks, friendly staff and reasonable prices for what you are getting would recommend to anyone👍

We ( 230AC ) played there on Saturday 27th July. This is a fantastic venue to play in!!! Wonderful bar staff who even offered to help with moving our equipment in and out of our van!!! The regulars were up and dancing from the beginning and didn’t want us to stop playing!!! Thank you so much to everyone and we hope to be back soon!!! 😎🎸😎🎸😎🎸😎🎸

Opening weekend under new management. The place has great atmosphere. The DJ and karaoke was very good tonight. Bar staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Lovely beer garden to sit out in the sun on a lovely summers day/evening. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
