Excellent dinner to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary. Husband and wife team run the pub with panache. Good value menu which serves excellent food sourced from local producers. Good choice of wines at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

We stopped off for a lite bite at The Plough Inn whilst cycling in the area. We had the whitebait goujons with tartare sauce, which was delicious and great value for money

What a find! Lovely friendly service. Excellent food which is great value for money. We had a couple of small plates- whitebait and tempura brocolli. Both perfectly cooked. Ultra thin batter. Really tasty. Then Confit duck leg and rack of lamb again perfectly cooked. Nice vegetables and great sauces. Rounded off with a panacotta and a crème brûlée. Delicious. Nice selection of wine, again, well priced. Couldn’t fault it.

We booked last minute for lunch and as always the food was excellent. I had a cheese souffle to start, which was fantastic. My main was the chicken sitting on creamy leeks, which again was amazing. Great atmosphere and very friendly and professional

Enjoyed a great meal for our Christmas night out with friends. All had different meals and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and warm and cosy. Thank you. 🤩

What can I say? Everything was lovely. The hostess is so welcoming and friendly .The waitresses were efficient and attentive. The food...mmm, totally delicious. We opted for the Sunday roast, very generous portions, and every item so deliciously tasty. Best Sunday roast ever! Deciding from the sweet menu ,very difficult...! Again everything beautifully presented and the tastes ...so flavoursome. Amazing how quiet the party goes when the eating begins, everyone fully absorbed , enjoying and appreciating the wonderful food. The dining room was full, and it is wise to book well in advance as so popular.

We had the most delicious three course meal. Not only was each dish beautifully flavoured, but also presented very nicely. Very friendly service too! We certainly will repeat this experience! Do book in advance to avoid disappointment

Wow from the service to the food and the atmosphere it was all first class! Service with a smile and all so friendly and it's so warm and cozy inside.. absolutely perfect! Then the food..... Out of this world! From the steak to the lamb they were absolutely delicious! Every mouthful the tastes exploded in your mouth and we literally couldn't get enough. The pate and cod goujons were perfect and then puddings were and perfect end to an absolutely fantastic meal. Sarah is fantastic and nothing is to much and Paul wow what a cook! Your both a fantastic team and you certainly make this work 😊 cannot wait to come back again soon....you made Mark's birthday perfect so thank you x

Err...Literally the best Sunday roast I have had in any pub, anywhere. Attention to detail was key. Not a foot wrong. Nice.

Fine dining and excellent service, all in a very comfortable setting.

While in this pub 22 years ago my husband Rob asked me to marry him, so we decided that on our 20th wedding anniversary 26th July this year we would return, even tho we had since moved to Milton Keynes. Fortunately we was able to book a table and I explained to the landlady Sarah our history with the pub and it being our anniversary and we had decided to be nostalgic in returning to where the proposal had happened. From the moment we walked in to a warm and friendly welcome, Sarah then took us through to the restaurant, she was most attentive and accomodating with our choices our meals wonderfully presented, perfectly cooked by her extremely talented husband Paul, chef, each mouthful exquisitely divine, delectable deliciousness, pure incredible pleasure from start to finish, absolute perfection. If you haven't discovered this gem of a place then I would highly recommend you make it a priority.

On our way back from Boston to Belton Woods this evening we saw signs for The Plough and turned into into the village of Wilsford. We were welcomed immediately as we stepped through the door and despite being very busy were found a table. We ordered the Salmon, and the Lamb sausages. The food was of a high quality and the taste was exceptional without being 'over-cheffed' as many places do now. I particulary loved the blend of salmon with new potatoes and Thai green spice sauce. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Minted lamb sausages and mash. The friendliness and ambiance is completely on point. Well done - great job, thank you and best of luck for the future.

This place was fantastic, from the warmth of the welcome, the surroundings and the very quality, tasty food. There was nothing I didn't like . Prices were ok too. Four of us, three courses each, wine, brandy, beer and gin £160. Give it a go

Just had a Sunday lunch, it was absolutely fantastic, the beef was incredible and the vegetables were full of flavour, served piping hot, the portions were very generous. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, overall the perfect experience and will definitely be coming back.

Visited 01/04/2023. Very good meal with my wife and son, couldn’t fault it and service was spot on from the very nice lady. . Shall definitely visit again .

Absolutely brilliant village country pub/restaurant.. I opted for the seabass which was beautifully cooked and presented and tasted out of this world 😋 I followed this up with the sticky toffee pudding which was to die for.!!! 😋😋😋 ..my wife was equally impressed with the salmon followed by the tiramisu pudding 😋 the chef here is superb and knows his stuff and the landlady was so friendly and helpful. We followed our meals up with coffee in the snug.. this whole traditional pub is so warm and welcoming with oak beams festooned in twinkly lights and a roaring log fire, a fabulous experience and atmosphere which we highly recommend ..but beware, you need to book well in advance to avoid disappointment as the resurant is so popular.. 😍

Beautiful location and dining room/environment. However, the quality of the food far exceeds any expectations and speaks loud and very clearly for itself. Absolutely delicious in every way possible and hitting every target perfectly. Relaxed, refined, fine dining at a very reasonable price. We lunched with our children and grandchildren and one word summs the whole experience for each of us. Perfect, thank you.

This is the 3rd time we have been to the Plough for an evening meal. Great food , the duck is divine! All the food was excellent and expertly cooked. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Can't wait to go back again.

Lovely place, we are weekend regulars to the lovely bar area and the owners, staff and other customers are very friendly making a great atmosphere We haven't eaten in the beautiful restaurant as yet, but have been assured by many diners that the food is marvelous

Disappointing. Travelled some distance to meet friends but they were closed. Why didn't they update tbeir website?

Had lunch here several times in the last few weeks whilst visiting from Kent. The food, service and beer are all of the highest quality. I cannot praise Sarah & Paul highly enough for what they have achieved at The Plough. I promise you will not be disappointed 😎

First time at Paul and Sarah's new venture. It most certainly won't be the last. Called in whilst passing and had the best meal for a long while. I am sure it would not be classed as health food but that is not what I was seeking. It was Paul at his best with all the attention required from Sarah. Good and friendly nice landlady and landlord

good service good value. That was my review 4 years ago. Recently under new ownership and a marked improvement in the standard of catering. Now it is five star in all areas. Excellent food good wine selection and excellent service.

This is a really lovely place to visit at any time of the day. We've eaten here at lunch and dinner and on both occasions were made to feel both at home yet somewhere special. The owner and chef is lovely and cooks genuinely delicious food, sold for incredibly good prices. The salmon fillet and creamed leeks this evening was the best I've ever had. The venue is unpretentious yet quietly beautiful. The staff are friendly, polite and efficient. We highly recommend and are looking forward to going more regularly as it's an absolute gem of a place.

The Plough in Wilsford is just what you imagine as the best of an English village pub: quaint but with a modern menu and efficient service. On all my visits so far, the standard of food has been very high and I expect to go there many times more.

Vriendelijke eigenaar. Herkende mij meteen als een Nederlandse en bracht de mayonaise. Het is echt een buurtpub, maar is ook fijn om.als buitenstaander te komen. Het eten was van goede kwaliteit. Ik heb genoten van mijn eten. De service was snel. De inrichting is uitnodigend. Fijn restaurant. Als ik ooit nog in de omgeving ben, zou ik hier echt weer komen eten.

For a pub of this size the extensive menu is amazing. Our group of 9 ordered a variety of menu choices and all were happy.

Looking forward to having a meal there. Lovely village pub.
