The Pictures Restaurant in North Lanarkshire

Great restaurant with amazing staff. Seen some mixed reviews but our experience was great. All of our party (all 9) had lovely meals,very large portions. Shout out to the amazing staff who made the experience even better.

We were bowling and went here more for convenience more than anything else. We weren't dissapointed, every one of the staff were amazing. I had the lamb kebab and it was up there with the best I've had. Great, family run restaurant, we will definitely be back and I'd highly recommend.

Won a voucher in a raffle. What an amazing place. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff were lovely, attentive and efficient. Food was excellent. My hubby said his burger was the best he has tasted. Will definitely be back. Prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommend 👌

We went on a Saturday evening. When our server came with the menus he explained a few dishes were unavailable, as they had been unexpectedly busy through the day. Fair enough we thought-means everything must be cooked fresh? I chose the butterfly chicken and the chicken kebab sandwich was my hubbys choice. The chef then came to the table and again apologised and asked what we like and if he can do anything to make up for the unavailable dishes. Nice touch. We then received massive and delicious meals. The freshest ingredients perfectly cooked and mine had a lovely side of crunchy peppers, onions and grilled tomatoes the chef had kindly added on. Everything was perfect. I honestly have been so disappointed with restaurant's in the area-this place is a great find and we will definitely be back and bring family and friends too. Thank you for the complimentary drink to make up for the missing dishes too. A very nice touch.

Greek food cooked by a Greek man, can't be more authentic than that. I've been here a few times now and will keep going back. Restaurant is large so yes its hard to fill but thats got nothing to do with the menu. Ps amazing Tzatziki 👏

3 adults had a lovely meal here, food was tasty. I cannot believe previous review of small portions. Our portions were far too much, also advised staff of this, in order to avoid food waste. Yes it was very quiet, but staff were lovely and friendly. We all enjoyed our food and will certainly recommend to others

Terrible food dry chicken and very small portions I do better souvlaki we were not impressed and as the restaurant was empty we expected much better I love Greek food and Ellia in George Square do better for the same price I would avoid

We visited tonight for the first time after a trip to bowling as a family of 5. Plenty of choice on the menu, lots of Greek food choices to choose from, pizzas, pastas , burgers too. Food was delicious and huge portions, we got some of ours to take home as did not want to waste it. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and nothing was a problem. Lovely cocktails on offer for £5.50 too, my daughter enjoyed a Puma Colada! We will definitely be back here as this is a refreshing change. I will be spreading the word to give this place a try.

First visit to the pictures following several recommendations and it certainly did not disappoint. Food was fabulous and great portions. Great service and very good value for money. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited while in the area on busines. Had a great meal . Extremely fresh tasty food and grest portion sizes . Good value with two , 2 coarse meals with a coke and a lager £50 . Will definatley come back when on the area again .

Had to leave our home to accommodate our son’s friends celebrating his 18th birthday and needed somewhere local and quick. Wasn’t disappointed, very very friendly staff , food was excellent (we had the shared meat platter which was cooked to perfection) . Hidden next to the Showcase cinema I feel this gem will be packed out every night once they get their customer base. If you want wonderful Mediterranean food local to you then this is the place to go

We wanted to try it out so after a visit to the cinema we went. Decor was the same as previous but they hadn't long moved in. The staff were friendly enough and it was clean. Then getting the menu it struck me how expensive it is for what it is as we are in a huge recession you have to be competitive. We shared a starter which was average at best and not large On their advice that the chicken souvlaki was big we shared it ... Well huge disappointment!!! It was small overcooked pieces of chicken very chewy no flavour the chips were also way overcooked the best bit was the small salad🙄 Now I am a fan of Greek food and can cook extremely well myself and also have an acute sense of taste so it most definitely lacked seasoning. To add the place was nearly empty so no excuse for it at all. I have eaten in a Greek restaurant in Glasgow which is cheaper than here and way better so suffice to say when I go to the pictures I won't thereafter be going to the pictures! I am very honest with reviews and when not good I show no mercy you have to up your game I'm afraid

We had a large group pre-booked. On arrival there were a few other small tables in. The staff were trying to be friendly and helpful, but overcomplicated taking the table order which took longer than necessary. We had a gluten free person in our party and they came and told them all the things that they could have. This would have been more relaxing if allergens were noted on the menu. Thank goodness we had starters, my bruschetta was delecious, however since arrival to main course it took just under 2 hours for mains to arrive and by this time we were the only ones in the restaurant. Everything was cooked fresh and they took the order out in drips and drabs. My butterfly chicken was very filling and delecious. However other party members were dissatisfied with their pastas, burgers, and rice. They are unable to split bills for large party's so one person in our large group paid for the whole lot and we settled up with them afterwards.

Thought we'd give it a try upon entering was very quiet and as old Frankie and Bennies unit still same decor not much changed and dirty marks on wall from where pictures have been taken down could be painted refreshed. Menu is sparse and expensive...

Good food at a reasonable price and friendly, personal service. We all enjoyed our food and there was gluten free pita bread available. The place was spotlessly clean.

Offering Greek Mezze and international main meals this place is off to a winner in my eyes. I had Spanakopita (Spinach and Feta Pie) which was beautifully served and generous with the feta, and Tzatziki which again was great and refreshing and presented really well....
