The Pembroke in Croydon

Like a wetherspoons in format but not as stereotypically trampy. Never had a problem in here and the place is clean. Will be going again

Had dinner here yesterday, reasonably priced good quality steak

Came in at 12 and ordered food. Took 40 min to cook sausage and mash, and a burger we were told food would be 2 min after waiting 35 then food was freezing when it came DO NOT ORDER FOOD HERE if you want a nice hot meal served at a reasonable time. It shouldn't take longer to cook than actual cooking times crazy

Popped in for a quick bite with family. Staff made a fuss of the kids which as a parent is always good. Was served by Charlie. Knew his stuff and was able to talk is through allergens. Nice atmosphere, decent music

The bar staff were good and efficient although expected as the pub was very quiet

The Pembroke is good and not so good. Dropped in for lunch on a few occasions and sometimes it's great, with quick attentive service and then on other occasions it feels like as a customer you're a bit in the way, which is an odd approach for a pub. Waiting at the bar can also be the same, j you're served in the order of arrival then other times you're ignored in favour of more regular patrons.

Went on a Monday afternoon so obviously the place was quiet. This pub is somewhat bigger than you'd expect from the outside, the pub is spacious inside with an outdoor patio at the back. The staff are friendly and the toilets are clean as too is the cleanliness of the pub. It provides plenty of large screens which is good for watching football or other sports. The food was pretty standard pub stuff at decent prices.

Always a great local. Plenty of food and drink options and wonderful staff. The chips we ordered seemed to have been recooked so very dry and crispy which wasn't great. When the footballs on it can be quite loud

Very very busy on Saturday evening. Only had a few drinks. I did not have to wait long to be served. The staff was nice and friendly

Really nice pub with very friendly staff. Food took quite a while to come out and they could do with a roast on the menu for Sundays. Starters had some missing toppings but they was busy that day and I didn't complain. Great if your a sports fan with lots of TV's. A little loud if you sit under the speakers but overall had a lovely experience here.

Had a table reserved so my friend could watch the football and took my month old dog there who was welcomed and they gave him a bowl of water. The food wasn't the best unfortunately but the staff were great and service was fantastic

Great sports atmosphere. The food meets expectations. The waitress, Anastasia was very lovely and had great communication. Comfortable seats and lots of room for company. Great area for children to play and socialise.

It's mostly a pub, eat something nice quickly, drink wine, beer, juice, the staff is ok, a little messy, but mostly I like the place

We went in Saturday 6pm for food. Told they'd run out of lasagne, 5 mins later they said they had some. What I was served looked like someone's leftovers heated up and burnt. Salad was brown. Ate the half a tomato and the middle of the lasagne. Ordered mixed grill, no steak so had to choose another meal. Won't be eating there again.

Great night! Family of 4 adults had a great value evening out. Service by Zhane and Rhiannon was prompt and polite.. food by Michael was hot and tasted great. We will certainly be back!!

Went for lunch with hubby the day after England qualified for the Euros final. Food was easy to order at the bar and the staff were very polite. Drinks ordered and water provided for our 6 month old puppy. Food was hot, delicious and an appropriate portion size. Not too large or too small and enough to fill you up. We had the cheese and bean toasties &the fish baguette. Drinks came with our meal which was nice surprise. Hubby had Strongbow original cider and said it tasted fresh and clean. Coke was as expected. Staff were very friendly in their interactions with us, and with our puppy who adored Anastasia. The decor was updated a while ago and is very comfortable and welcoming. There is a hard floor area which humans and dogs are welcome and it has mostly high stool/bench seating. The rest of the pub is carpeted and dogs are not allowed to use this section which is understandable. Lots of telly's to show sports events, and a variety are shown, not only football. Atmosphere was quiet during our visit but we've been at other times and the atmosphere has been friendly and welcoming.

Nice pub to come to watch the football match. Good price of food. Having lunch deal and meal deal that comes with drinks

We had a great time at the family funday with the kids entertainer on May bank hol. He Kept the kids entertained. My son was a little young to take part, but Mark still made him feel involved. Would definitely recommend. Would love more days like this at the pub

Hi after a hard few weeks me and my friend came out for a nice meal we picked the curry with chips etc well the curry was not nice it was like soup the mango chutney was too sweet and lumpy my friend was very disappointed ,the chips were nice, i thought the food would be better next time we will go somewhere else

This is a big pub with plenty of televisions. Great for watching the football. They have comfortable furniture, nice toilets and an outside area which also has a screen. I would definitely recommend this pub.

We come here quite often just to get some burgers and beer. The beer selection is the biggest around the area. Also great place to watch sports. Its mostly busy in the evenings weve been.

I have been here multiple times on multiple occasions. I use Dobles for servicing on my bike and tend to come here while waiting for it to be finished for lunch, and this is my go to place to meet up with friends for a drink or to watch the football. The food is lovely, and service is really efficient, even when ordering on the app instead of at the bar. There is a wide selection of drinks and I have also taken advantage of their amazing deal on cocktails. The service I have received from Jeff and his team, in particular Michael, Alex and Ellie has been absolutely amazing, they all are polite and friendly. The smoking area at this pub is a bit different from others and it's much preferable as instead of being stuck near the road outside of the premises, there is a nice little area fairly near the bar that is only used by the other customers at the Pembroke. Would definitely recommend, will be coming back!

We meet up there now since has been refurbished. Clean, comfortable, pleasant helpful staff. Food is okay, not great. A big negative for us is when you are meeting friends & family afternoon or early evening on a weekday the music is far too loud, it's like a night club level pumping out. We would certainly stay longer if we could hear each other. The pumping loud music should be for weekends and after 8pm. Please turn it down.

I have been here a few times and it's always been ok, I decided to go out for a drink and a meal with a few Friends, and we weren't sure if we go to weatherspoons or here, so I checked the menu online, and it stated that all the pub favourites were on offer for £7, throughout January, Mon to Thurs, so we thought that's sounds good, it is the 29th of January, we went in and were told the offer ended last week, I showed the manager their website, clearly showing the offer but she refused to honour it, so all six of us left, because of the principle, what a waste of time, we ended up in oxted weatherspoons and had a great time.

Had a wait for car to be serviced locally and decided on lunch here at The Pembroke. Really clean pub. Food was perfect and our drinks were piping hot. Coffee not beer! ;) Staff were very pleasant. Would definitely come back here.

Came here with my partner for lunch. Amazing value for money and the food came out so fast. The customer service was awesome and the manager took the time to chat to us which was lovely. Will definitely visit again!

I visited the Pembroke with my mum for lunch. Food was great and Geoff asked us if everything was okay. We didn’t have to wait too long. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The pub is very spacious , lovely decor with lots going on pool tables , music , sport on the tv . The food is delicious and very reasonably priced the bacon cheese burger was 10/10 The manager Jeff and his team are friendly and welcoming , had a lovely evening and will definitely be going back .

Good pub and nicely lively when we visited, a Wednesday evening, (although this was in pre-Xmas week). Good service at the bar with good staff and a nice choice of real ale. I stuck with the Tribute which was on form. It's a large pub with large TV screens showing sports etc. Didn't eat there this time but offers the usual pub fare. All in all a decent solid pub.

Great evening at the Pembroke, something for everyone. Great customer service food very good value for money and they catered for a group of 12 on a works event at really short notice. Special thanks to Geoff who made sure we had everything we needed.

Traditional pub food, very reasonable prices for food and drink. Had the festive burger and was best I've had in a long time.

I'm not rating everything 5 stars because I want to be nice, I'm doing it because this pub deserves it. I had breakfast here with my dad and the atmosphere was great, we had the all day breakfast. The food was well seasoned, very warm and very filling, an overall great breakfast. The staff were also very accommodating and were happy to comply with simple requests (e.g. my dad asking for tomatoes and his toast to be fried, the toast was fried perfectly and the tomatoes were nice and warm). If you're in the area and are considering eating out (breakfast, lunch, dinner) or even want to go out for a drink in the evening, come here. 10/10 Staff: Zhane, Alex, Brendan, Jack.
