My lovely family booked me a secret 70th birthday meal here, it was fantastic, the food was lovely, the staff were so friendly, helpful and kind. The place itself was spot on with something for everyone. I cannot praise the venue enough. Thank you all for your fantastic service

What a lovely place in a great location for walks with family and dogs. We stopped for a drink after a walk and was greeted by a lovely young man (Tristan) who was polite and welcoming. It had great facilities for kids and an adult only area. Very nice, will be going back d Soon. Thanks.

The team at The Pavilion Bar and Restaurant are great.. they all worked so hard to make sure my wedding reception ran smoothly and had great communication through the whole process. The food for the dinner buffet was amazing, and there was plenty as there was lots of left overs!! Their recommendation of a DJ truly was amazing too as everyone… I mean everyone! Even the grandparents were on the dance floor. Thank you all again and I hope to see the whole team soon again x

I booked a party for a 60th Birthday, had the best service I could of had by Kelly she was lovely, and helped me very step of the way, the room looked amazing when it was set up, the staff where very helpful, Thank you to all the bar staff at the pavilion bar.

Hi. Called in today at 9.50 am for a breakfast after walking our dog. We sat down and I went to order. I was told (politely) that I would have to wait for 10 minutes before ordering as there was a children’s party. There were 4 members of staff standing at the counter and I asked if we could have a coffee while we waited. I was told, ‘No’ (abruptly). For the first time (after visiting often, over 5 years) we walked out and went somewhere else.

Only had a portion of chips and 3 coffees Great service

THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY. The Good: the staff were all very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The food was for me was of decent quality and quantity and appropriately priced. The Bad: The roast dinner was at best only lukewarm, the Panninis were mis-sold, neither the content or the bread used was correct. The Ugly: We were overcharged on items purchased and furthermore our deposit was not deducted from the total bill and has thus far not been returned despite numerous phone calls, luckily we paid by card so our bank will use legal means if necessary to address the issue.

Christmas 2023 'Oompah' band absolutely fantastic! Great food, lovely staff but the icing on the cake was the entertainment, it was absolutely brilliant. 💯 booking for next year!

Attended The Beatles tribute party evening with friends and family, 20 of us in total, nothing was too much trouble, the staff were brilliant, food was amazing and all came out together considering the size of our table, the entertainment was excellent. A fantastic evening had by all. Can’t wait for the next one.

What a fabulous night to spend it watching a Beatles tribute act with friends and family. Had a top notch Christmas dinner with a delicious dessert👌🏻 They seem to have many themed acts and activities on and will definitely return. The Pavilion Bar and Restaurant supported our small charity by kindly hosting our big fundraising quiz for the second year running. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the home made pizzas there are amazing. Must try the loaded chips next time!!

We were on a break away with the family and on a rainy late afternoon we found this place to take the children as it has as soft play and reviews looked good. Didn’t know what to expect but what a great little find! The children, (6 & 4) had a fantastic time & we were able to enjoy the bar with sky sports. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. They recommended fun places for us to visit with the children for the remainder of our trip. We gave the children the option on our last night of what to do, and they both asked to come back here. They enjoyed their dinner and had a delicious waffle. Thank you Pavillion Bar, we will certainly return.

Awful place, rude staff and a lot of discrimination and disrespect from the owner. Won’t step foot near that place again especially after the owner made a comment about my special needs son.

Whitney tribute night. Omg what a fabulous night. Whitney was amazing. The place was spacious with very good choice of drinks at a very good price. Liked minded people all have a great night. The organisers Kelly went out of her way to see if everyone was having a great night. Lovely lady. Will defo we using this place lots more for friends nights out.

We had a lovely lunch, food was hot, staff were really helpful and polite would definitely recommend Food ordered Sweet chilli Ciabatta 2 Fishcake and chips

We waited an hour after ordering then gave up and asked for money back. Plenty of bar staff but seemed like there could only have been one person cooking. Food came out at an incredibly slow rate. Felt sorry for the youngsters having to fend off angry customers. Even orders that did come out got sent back because they were wrong!! Pity really because it is such a good venue for families. Serious investment could make this a great place.

Sadly disappointed last Sunday. Long wait at the carvery as no one serving most of the time, huge wait at the bar and food burnt and looked literally thrown on a plate. Was severely understaffed, felt sorry for the staff who were there. Won’t visit again. Needs more staff by far.

Great evening watching The Jersey Boys Tribute Act but would have enjoyed it more if people hadn't been talking loudly a lot of the time.

Booked table for 2pm on a Sunday, got there and ran out of carvery, why would it let you book tables if your likely to run out of Sunday dinners? Good kids area though!

The Pavilion is very lovely and family friendly and also dog friendly. We love going here for a drink, especially on a hot day. Lots of outdoor seating areas which is useful as we have a big dog. Only reason for 4 stars is due to the menu. There used to be such great food selection in the past but recently it seems to be just basic/standard food. Would love to try their cocktails though as they look yummy!

Lovely walk with the dogs, food, well we ordered a £30 sharing platter for 2 what a joke!!! But we didn't laugh when a few crackers, 4 slices of cheese that thinly sliced you could see through it! Only enough cheese for 1 person, parma ham that was nothing more than slices of fat that the dog enjoyed!! Best part about it was the bread and butter!! Absoloute waste of money and absolutely vile!! Would not recommend this place for food at all

Absolutely joke of a place, management that were on tonight (Friday 8th July 2022) couldn't run a bath!!! None of the staff have a clue what they are doing, zero communication with the kitchen staff, over charged us and reluctant to give money back, ordered kids food as soon as we walked in, planned on ordering for ourselves but after waiting over an hour for chicken nuggets,chips,beans and a kids chicken wrap, coupled with the fact that staff had no idea where any menu's were or if there was anything else available other than pizza or a burger, we decided against ordering!!! This used to be a great place with great food. Very disappointed especially when we tried to support them during COVID by ordering for takeaway.....(back when they had a decent menu!!!!) Absolute Shambles.....

Indoors or outdoors plenty of seating. Good for a snack or a meal. Drinks, alcohol or non alcohol available. Plenty of parking spaces. Lots of walking nearby.

We live just a 2 minute walk away,haven't had the best experiences previously but after around 6 months we thought we try again. We were hoping to have a lovely Mother's day breakfast...we waited...and we waited...and we waited some more...given menus and that's where it ended. There were more staff than customers but all too busy setting up for lunches rather than paying attention to the customers in the building. After waiting over 20 minutes for someone to take our order (or even just acknowledge us!), we left. Unsurprisingly, not one of the many staff or owner noticed us leave. Fancy decor and fake flowers cannot compensate for the need to deliver decent customer service! We'll stick to your competitors in the future.

Absolutely love it here! Surrounded by fantastic people and the service is top tier. Paula and the rest of the staff really takes care of all of us and we all look forward to coming down. If you want a new and friendly place to go to then definitely come here. They have great parties and the atmosphere is so friendly, offering a gorgeous gin bar at the front and a huge bar at the back. Thanks for the last two years and here's to many more! X

Lovely decor inside and great outdoor seating area- with heaters. Worth a visit if on a walk, if for a cold beer or hot chocolate. Will visit again.

I took my grandma for afternoon tea on Saturday and we had a great time. The staff where brilliant and very accommodating. The decor is lovely and you can see a lot of effort as been put into the cocktail bar. The food was also lovely and plenty of it. My grandma went back to the home with a box full of goodies as we couldn’t eat it all. She has been telling all the staff and residents about it all week. Very happy customer we will be returning.

I wanted to write a genuine and honest review. My sister and I booked in for the cocktail tasting evening, we rarely have a night away from the kids so we’re so looking forward to this rare treat. When we arrived we were seated quickly, it is in the entrance to the soft play ‘jungle mayhem’ but I believe they are trying to do a separate thing. We commented on the nice decor. We were given a menu to choose 4 tapas dishes they all looked amazing but picked 4 and also order a couple more to pay extra as we wanted to try them all! The cocktails started to come out a taster in shot glasses then you rate how you liked them as you get to pick a full sized one at the end. We were having a great time the food was fresh and hot, when an old bloke came from the bar from the soft play side and sat at the cocktail bar, he made a vulgar comment about me and my sister and I was not happy. I spoke to the waitress who went and asked if he would go back to the other side, he said no. The manager was called who tired to have a bit of a laugh and joke but he wouldn’t move, the manager came over and said to ignore him as he was just a regular but by this point I stated it had ruined out night we had paid good money and the place needs to think about where they are going with it. It could be lovely and up market but not if you have regulars who basically think they own the place over the staff and managers. They laidies working in there (?chelsie and Sophie? Sorry can’t remember) we’re amazing they were trying so hard just seems a waste of their effort. I’d say get rid of the bar stools and keep to take service! I’m so disappointed because I would to go again for tapas and cocktails but not with the risk of being treated like we did again

Not very clear as to which way you go to find the bar if you haven't been before, seemed like we had to pass through a function room first to find the actual bar.

Visited on 13/11/21 on a saturday evening for a birthday meal. Disappointed as soon as we walked through the door it's just jungle madness with a expensive menu. 40 mins after ordering our mains we were told that several of the meals were unavailable. Apologies all around and other menus were offered. One of the staff said you can have some toasties if you want! Great choice on a saturday night. When the food finally arrived 2 hours after first ordering it was poor and overcooked. Staff were friendly but seemed very stressed, we were a party of 12 and there were only a handful of other guests. Overall very disappointed in my opinion it's a glorified cafe. Fine if you are wanting a coffee and a piece of cake on a tuesday afternoon. Not somewhere to go and spend £28.95 on steak.

We absolutely loved coming here. The waiters and waitresses are so nice and sweet with the bonus of gorgeous food. Unfortunately, we are reluctant to return due to the owners attitude towards staff. It's not nice to hear her gobbing off at them when they make a genuine mistake, dropping a glass etc. Quite frankly, it's appalling to see, especially when all she's doing is drinking wine and throwing orders about. Please treat your staff nicely, because they are the ones who are keeping this place afloat. Until that changes, we WONT be back.

We came here very last minute last week as we were let down with our booking at another local Bistro, and they didn't disappoint. They squeezed us in without a hesitation and looked after us very well, such a nice outdoor space to relax. Lovely gin selection too!

Just got flyer through door... spelling mistakes, muddy snaps of processed food at a minimum of £14.95 per person. Not happening. Also toast and jam isn't a champagne breakfast starter. A response five months after the review is not exactly good for business. And yes, a review stating why I would not frequent the establishment is valid.
