Great place to meet old friends

Folk are very friendly. I was even invited to a game of crib though I didn't know anyone in there. The only downside was that they had horse racing on really loud. All in all though it's a nice pub and no nutters.

If you are looking for a friendly pub, with great beers friendly bar staff always have time for a chat, that's down to a great landlady and landlord one of the best run bars in Staffordshire 5***** are hard to get but I'm happy to give all 5

Would recommend this pub if you love a nice content atmosphere, service is amazing and polite. Not too give child friendly! As on remembrance Sunday every year my family all get together too honour all that have fort for our country, especially our dad and brother who thankfully are still here today! But not only was the Owner of the pub at the cenotaph amongst us all, he offered a free port too any old or current soldiers who came in his pub. All in all great atmosphere.

My friend and I usually go for a walk and then weather permitting we go and sit outside under the veranda and have a nice pint 🍺on a sunny day you feel like your abroad ☀️😎

Pretty exterior. Child and dog friendly pub. Inside nice friendly atmosphere. In close proximity to Longton Park's playground.

Hadn't been here for a long time but went recently with a couple of friends. What a lovely welcoming public house. Soon as i entered it was a lovely welcoming place. Saw some old mates in there which added to having a great time. The bar staff are lovely and friendly and the landlady lovely in herself. A nice and clean place serving great beers and largers. Will definitely be going back soon.

Great atmosphere, I will agree with comments I've heard that this pub has a more mature natured atmosphere but if you prefer to go for a quite drink this is the place to go. If you're a youngster hoping to go out on the pull then no this is probably not your first choice. I will mention they don't welcome kids, but please don't let that put you off, they serve a great pint.

Nice pub situated in a quiet residential area. No food but we still enjoyed being there having a beer on the veranda

Old style pub. Good for socialising. Good selection of drinks. Toilets in good order. No car park, limited outdoor space.

The service here is fantastic. If you work in a licensed premises come here to see how its done. The bar has been rammed but no one has had to wait. The staff work so well.

Extortionate prices. Not overly dog freindly. I'll stick to the Strand where prices are good, staff are friendly and dogs can roam free.
