This place is a joke Working hours not consistent, no one answering on the phone , online Info incorrect Shame as I really enjoyed pizza last two times but I gave up as this is not first time that place its closed without any explanation

Table of 4 ordered starters however they came out with the mains, when do starters come out with mains not good. Pizza needed cooking longer very doughy. Also pizza was cold and 2 of my guests Waited 10 mins for there pizza after we got ours. Staff are young, feel like it needs an experienced floor manager to guide. Would not return sadly.

Amazing food and great service!

Very delicious authentic italian pizzas made in a woodfired oven! Would be great to have on menu some more options like Tuna or Quattro formaggi pizzas.

Lovely staff but i have to be honest, this was our second visit and the pizzas just aren't very nice. The sweet chilli calzone had a pile of coleslaw on top of it which just made it soggy and even the "angry Mexican" base was soggy. Think the pizzas would be better if they were just more the standard options.

I usually get a Calabrese pizza from there which always tastes awesome. Staff always friendly and I have to say the service is fast too.

Great testing dough. Very long waiting time. Non existant service. We agree with previous comments that pizza was wet in the middle, dough and toppings not cooked. This place has real potential.

Ordered a takeaway for collection. Food was ready on time. Now to the food… Incredible, had the chicken tenders to start which were amazing would recommend. I had the Calabrese pizza and partner had Mexico. Both were spectacular, portions of toppings were just right. Can tell thats its quality ingredients used. Will be dining in soon! Highly recommend to everyone

Staff are lovely, but the pizza was cold in the middle and quite doughy. Great selection of beers and wines though.

1 star is generous. Never got the food after 2 hours waiting for delivery. Why give them your business when there are plenty of other good pizza places.

Well made pizzas, dough very fresh and the veggies on them fresh too. Staff helpful and friendly. Glad we chose to come here to eat before our visit to Shakespeare North.

I am a really fussy eater but The Oven didn’t disappoint. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the chicken strips are life changing! Staff are really nice & friendly too.

Pizza tasted amazing!! Even my 1.5yo likes them and he's a picky eater. Very good value and super friendly atmosphere. Perfect for an early dinner after a visit to Knowsley Safari. Recommended.

Four and a half really only because the menu wasn't a bit larger, but the food that was served, six in total was lovely thanks for a boss night to all the staff

Don't bother with the big chain pizzas just support your local businesses and go here. Been twice now and made to feel really welcome. Great pizzas and reasonable prices.

Very doughy pizza, under cooked. They don't have garlic or chilli oil. The skin on fries were lovely. The staff are very nice. The restaurant was very cold and our kids were complaining that they were cold as the aircon was turned down low and it was warmer outside. Overall an ok pizza but i wouldn't be in a rush to go back.

What a great restaurant The Oven is. I visited with my boys and during the week, it was busy so a good sign. The staff running the place were fantastic, I had the linguine with king prawns and the fresh flavours were some of the best. My boys each had a pizza made in their wood fired pizza oven and they looked really authentic. Would I go back? Yes, probably going tomorrow. Recommended!

I love this little restaurant, the staff are lovely and friendly and the food is always very good.

Amazing.ordered on valentines it was clear to me it would be late but they called before hand to tell us.The food was brilliant I e not had pizza like that since I visited Italy and I've helped a local business to survive during lock down I reccomend you do the same.

My mother and I found this little Gem by chance as we fancied trying somewhere different. What we got was a deliciously authentic pizza, garlic bread and salad. Everything tasted so fresh, it melted on our mouths. All served by the owner Victoria who really made us feel special! Wonderful lady. Great venue, great atmosphere highly recommend a visit or two....we will certainly be back for seconds!! Beverley and Martha LONDON

So, new to the area and I was given this place as a recommendation and I was sadly disappointed, pizza took over an hour to arrive and first of the bat the drink were wrong, delivery guy had his girl friend in the car and apologized for the delay, delay, pizza was stone cold and we ordered four of them, when I say stone cold I meant it! They pizza looked like they hand been hand made but unfortunately they looked like they had been in the back of a car for 45 mins.... I’d like to try it again but I don’t think I can given the delivery, sorry I can’t say any more as the pizza was just to poor

Superb place lovely food in a wonderful atmosphere

Purchased a take away pizza from the oven on the 6th July 2020, I have to say that it's the nicest pizzas I've had, quality bases and flavoursome toppings, Excellent garlic bread that actually tastes of garlic, all the food was nice, no complaints excellent friendly service and I will definatley buy again, highly recommended

We ordered again last night and the food was absolutely delicious! The best pizza we've ever had and we've been to italy several times! The cheesy garlic bread is amazing too! Love this place!

Had a take away delivered last night and it came on time, and the food was amazing! Best pizza I've had in a long time, the garilc bread was nice too and I can definitely recommend the dirty fries. Will definitely be ordering again. Can't wait until locmdown is over so we can go inside and eat

Absolutely delicious pizzas, great fresh dough and a proper wood fired oven. Best we've had for ages and we live in Bedford - the most Italian town in Britain.

Excellent oven fired pizzas. Really tasty. Went for the family deal which is really good value. Good quality toppings on the pizzas, fries were some of the best I've had recently and the garlic dough balls were really nice. Dinner was topped off with the Nutella dough balls which were gorgeous. The place itself has some personality with some murals on the walls that add to the ambiance. Certainly another excellent addition to the Prescot restaurant scene and one is recommended traveling to.

The pizza here was amazing, freshly cooked and really flexible on toppings. Really good service too.

Nice little home baked pizzeria, with a 'proper' pizza oven too. Seems family run, really nice atmosphere with great service. Food and drink is very reasonable. A good variety of vegetarian options and a family friendly menu also, great for families with young children. We tried one of the specials that they where happy to 'convert' to a veggie version for us... It was goats cheese pizza with rocket and Parma ham, and they swapped out the ham for cherry tomatoes. Delicious. The other pizza was off the everyday menu that looked interesting, called summertime, pine nuts, figs and honey, but without a tomato base. Nice but a little too sweet... We should have guessed that though from the ingredients! :) We also got a side of chips (nice but a little greasy) and we tried some killer olives with chilli... If you love spicy heat, you have to try the olives! Overall a great little find, ace for families at very fair prices for great freshly made, home baked produce.

Pizzas ok but we weren't given any cutlery or napkins. Not sure if they expected us to eat pizza, salad and chilli fries with our hands or if it was an oversight by the waitress or maybe they wanted to save on the washing up.

This was my first visit as it was my birthday and it was lovely heard a lot about this place and what I Heard was all good the pizzas are absolutely gorgeous and all freshly made and you have a lot to choose from the menu which is good and made in its own pizza oven staff are very friendly they have a area for children's parties and were children get involved making there own pizzas well worth a visit

Top quality pizza, nicely decorated little shop. Banging music (oasis classic!) and amazing service. Ten out of ten would eat here again!

On entrance there wasn’t much organisation and as this is a new establishment this is understandable. Our seats were right next to the door which meant there was a distraction from people coming in and out and slight draughts. The pizza was bogstandard and was definitely undercooked due to what I assume was a rush for time. It would’ve been much better if they were left in the oven slightly longer. Although we felt rushed, probably due to how small the place was but how busy it was getting, the staff were very friendly and accommodated all of our needs. The sweet potato fries were tasty, would recommend.

Despite having no head chef which meant we had a long wait for our food we had a lovely meal and the owner, couldn't have been more accommodating and apologetic. Staff were nice and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Wow, absolutely lovely! My wife said that the Pizzas were the best we have ever eaten in the UK and very nearly as good as real Italian Pizzas. We only ordered a take away but shall definitely book the restaurant. Prescot is really trying to reinvent itself and with more places like The Oven it may actually do so. It would be great if people supported independent businesses like this and creates a thriving town.

We went with friends, we really enjoyed it, great pizza. Very nice friendly service. Will take our son he'll love it.

First visit here, great atmosphere, tasty pizza, definitely worth another visit
