Best tasting and best value “Cornish pasty” that I’ve had in ages. Also bought mushroom pizza and hot pork pie, everything fantastic with good prices will definitely stop by here again next time I’m in Wetherby

I have recently moved into the area and thought I’d buy my lunch as I was passing and it looked nice. I Bought some bread and a pork pie, both fresh and delicious. The cakes look amazing too and wish that I had purchased one. I will definitely buy one the next time I go in though. Highly recommended.

It’s busy for a reason! They do great pastries and cakes. It’s a big step up from chain bakeries, but it’s not fancy-pants either. I go whenever I get the chance!

Went in for a few breakfast sandwiches. Ordered bacon, egg and tomato and ended up with a breakfast sandwich with slices of tomato in…. I mean I guess I got what I paid for but slices of tomato in a breakfast sandwich just isn’t the norm. The staff were all messing around in the back of the kitchen screaming Nice bakery but staff are basically children and act like it.

Not a good shop to shop in when they don’t accept Scottish notes, that are legal tender and very embarrassing to decline said notes in front of other customers. I’m not happy 😡😡

Prices have gone up AGAIN... Two small white bap sandwiches now over £8.... I've been going 3 to 4 times a week but that's it now I've had enough I'm OUT.

Pork pie heaven! A return visit after seven years did not disappoint! We also tried the apple curd cake and the cinnamon scroll. Both were to die for! The bakery is situated across the road from the Rest Park, which is perfectly located with benches for sitting on to enjoy our snacks. The gardens are beautifully maintained.

Just bought vanilla slice and strawberry tart one strawberry in tart vanilla slice put straight in in cost £3/40 had to ask girl who served me 3 times as she seemed not to understand English absolutely terrible service that matched the cakes

Hot pork pies and cheese and onion pasty were both fantastic, very tasty and obviously used high quality ingredients. Friendly service too

Very expensive and absolutely rank bacon sandwich. Extremely disappointed

3 of us ordered the steak and onion sandwiches 3 of us were beyond disappointed. We even paid extra to get baguettes The beef was like warm dry beef slices and barely any of it The onions were barely none existent. Extremely dry and barely edible. Worse sandwich I've ever had by a mile. Will not be returning and definitely would not recommend.

Stopped off on the off chance of getting a breakfast bap on the way to Scotland.. We picked our own choice of baps and filling which they cooked fresh... We also had a lovely freshly made sandwich roll to takeaway for lunch to eat later. Loads of choices.. Well done.! . Full marks for excellent food and service.. The food was just perfect.. Wonderful friendly staff.. Wish we lived nearer... Would definitely do a detour to get ourselves replenished in the future.

Where to start?! Super friendly staff, helpful and always greet you with a smile. Recommended by a friend for fresh bread. Super tasty and fresh. Good selection of bread, cakes and sandwiches. Once you’ve tried it, it will be the only bakers you visit! We won’t buy bread from anywhere else now.

Love this family run bakery. The breads and baked goods are fabulous. We especially love the baguettes, fruit chocolate flapjacks and sausage rolls too. We buy all our bread and baked goods from The Oven Door and have done for years now. Highly recommended.

Have been a customer of The Oven Door for many years and it is a fantastic local bakery. They make lots of different breads, cakes, pies as well as making fresh takeaway sandwiches and fresh coffee. I order their organic wholemeal bread regularly on- line and call into the shop to collect it.

I placed my order online. Collected at 1pm. The sandwiches were kept in the fridge and the sausage rolls were kept warm. Got a phone call to say when my order would be ready. Amazing service! Delicious food as always.

The manager Will, treats his staff incredibly poorly, opting for child labour (14 year old children) paying £5 an hour yet expecting 5 start service. He is rude, unprofessional and has the communication ability of an infant - perhaps a reason why he employs similar aged staff.

Excellent sandwiches, always good. Just what you need to get you through a Friday.

The Oven Door is a fabulous bakery and very well loved in Wetherby for very good reason. We have been customers for several years now and the goods baked on the premises are always delicious. Our particular favourites are the French bread sticks, sourdough loaves, sausage rolls, apple curd squares and flapjacks. Service is always friendly and super efficient. For several months now I've also taken advantage of the delivery service so that the wonderful baked goods get delivered straight to our door. Well done William and all the staff - world class goods and service on our doorstep!

Fantastic local bakery - the bread is fantastic; as are the cakes..... in fact, it's simpler to say, it's all fantastic. Not to mention, they've been a real asset to the local community delivering food during the challenging winter weather and to people isolating or shielding. I strongly recommend.

I shamefully only started shopping here last April when lockdown started. But I’m so glad I did. Love the bread loaves, so fresh and last for ages. You can ask for them sliced or slice yourself at home. Also I enjoy the croissants, brioche rolls and french baguettes. The sandwich ham and other sandwich fillings (eg chicken tikka) are so tasty. And not forgetting the delicious cakes ... To avoid queues I usually order in advance (on the app) and collect from the side door. They also kindly delivered foc when we were stuck in isolating. Great service and products.

Absolutely disgusting the price of a very small white bread bun with egg mayo no salad £2.70. I've bought this many times before and I've bought the same sandwich for £1.50. That is the last time I will call there. Discusting

The Oven Door is a wonderful bakery. It has a great selection of breads;( I particularly love the spelt bread) and delicious cakes!! Since March the Oven Door have very kindly delivered to our door. The Oven Door is a great place to get your bread and other wonderful fresh products. The caramel shortbread is to die for, the salmon and broccoli flan is delicious and the pizza slices are huge! Have lived in Wetherby for over 30 years and have always used the Oven Door, quality, selection and service has always been excellent. William and the team have maintained that tradition and now with delivery, perfect!

We have regular deliveries of their superb breads and pastries .Always very friendly and helpful; highly recommended.

Used The Oven Door’s delivery service during lockdown in the Spring successfully. Have continued using their products via click and collect ever since. We really like their Large Granary loaves which we order sliced as it makes freezing easier. The bread keeps well frozen. Tea cakes are a treat and the granary and white bread cakes are excellent.

Oven Door deliver a wonderful supply of Bread, Rolls, Teacakes, Pizza Slices, Jams and Marmalade, their lovely Bun Loaf and fresh eggs to us most weeks. A very welcome facility in these difficult times and I would recommend them to anyone.

I have been a customer of The Oven Door in Wetherby since a couple of years after it opened in the 1970s. It has always been and still is a source of superb baked goods, made on the premises and sold with friendly care. They have a huge range of bread – my favourites are their organic wholemeal, made to order, and the rye spelt loaf. They make an unbelievable number of sweet treats, such as Danish pastries in several varieties and a wide choice of savouries and sandwiches. They even make jams and chutneys to go with them. During the ongoing pandemic, they have really ramped up as a community service, delivering their produce, to order, in Wetherby and the surrounding villages. They take orders by email or through their app, amongst other methods. It is an incredible amount of effort to keep a quality business producing this quantity of excellent food, not to mention delivering it, day after day and always with a smile and a cheerful word. I say well done to the whole team and I hope the local community appreciates the treasure that they are and continues to reward them with their custom.

Went in this shop this morning. To be fair the things looked lovely and most of the items i bought were nice, however, I was a bit shocked by the ham salad sandwich. It was the smallest roll I have ever purchased and at £2.90 extortionate for the size. Really not what i expected or good value for money. I would have refused it , but I was in there a while and people were queuing, so didn't want to cause a scene.

The bread here is some of the best you'll get. No it's not French or Spanish etc but it's proper bread that tastes and smells like it should do. Been shopping here for going on for 40 years and it's still great. Things change in some areas like everywhere but go here for your bread, rolls, currant tea cakes.....yummmm

Popped in to the amazing bakery early in the morning. The smell of fresh bread enticed me in. Had a great bacon sarnie and coffee. Whilst I was waiting I bought some sunflower and some spelt bread. Both amazing. Had a warm pork pie which was the best pork pie i have ever tasted. Cakes looked amazing too. Very friendly service and all round great little find. Great value for money

Fancied a bit of cake mid-afternoon and came across The Oven Door, one of Wetherby’s many bakeries. Nice caramel slices and flapjack and very reasonably priced too. Not far from the entrance to The Horsefair Centre in North Street if that’s your thing.

Great place for picking up a lunchtime sandwich. Discovered today that they do the most amazing curd tart. Flapjack/ oaty base- delicious! Will stop by whenever I’m passing through, now! 👍

Always consistent and fresh.They do special orders of dipped shortbread cookies (white or dark chocolate) that are out of this world! Everyone at my birthday party loved them.

There's really only Two things to say about Oven Door : 1, it's Proper 2, it's Fresh the sandwiches are great, the soup of the day can keep you going for days! and the buns! oh my god..... The Danish are so nice... obviously gooey and bad for you...but when they're that nice who cares. If you want a challenge (you'll love it, but don't think of eating for the rest of the day) order a Bismark! Great place great value, it's all you need to know!

Visited on a random day trip, great freshly made sandwiches on freshly baked rolls, sausage rolls were great too. Went back for some cakes later they were amazing too and really cheap! Def be coming back

This bakery has been in Wetherby for many years and used by everyone from shop and office workers to local people and visitors to the town. Excellent bread and cakes and daily sandwiches and rolls made to order. Also excellent bread, pies and cakes made on the premises daily.

This is only one of the four or five bakers in Wetherby, but the bread selection and mouthwatering cakes was great and the attention to customers wants and friendliness were wonderful.

Have been coming for years. Favourites are the warm pork pies, Yorkshire Apple Curd Slices, and those totally disgusting calorie laden blackcurrent Danish pastries. We travel 25 mile round trip for our ‘fix’. Long may they stay independent.

Smashing place in the heart of wetherby serving fresh bread and an array of savouries and cakes.it took a beef goulash soup which on a cold day was great .i returned in the morning for a freshly cooked sausage barm which again was first class .a quality establishment.

Absolutely amazing fresh bread baked on their premises. Lovely, friendly staff, fast efficient service. I have tried everything they sell from sandwiches, to cream cakes, quiche and of course bread and every product is such a high quality and gorgeous flavours. When we go away on holiday we look forward to coming home to their lovely bread.

The whole of the Wetherby area is blessed to have such a gem as The Oven Door. It is genuinely artisan quality at affordable prices - as the constant queue out of the door is testament to. This is the sort of place large supermarkets pretend to have in store. But this is the real deal. Their fresh, fresh bread is a real treat. And lovely staff too!!
