Wandered in with no reservation, and totally lucked out because they were able to seat us immediately. After 3 weeks of pub fare we felt like we’d died and gone to heaven. Each dish was a masterpiece of inventive flavors and textures. Unforgettable!

La comida también estuvo bien aunque tengo que decir que me esperaba un poco más. En mi caso me pedí la gallina de Guinea que además de parecerme una ración muy escasa no me gustó mucho la salsa que le pusieron por encima. Luego tuve la oportunidad de probar el “pie” de otro comensal y la verdad que me pareció delicioso. También pedíamos un rissoto para compartir y aunque no estaba malo no me entusiasmó demasiado. Los postres muy ricos. El servicio fue correcto y el precio adecuado.

I was given a voucher for a Grand afternoon tea . In booking I asked if they could adjust a couple of items on the set menu, which they did with no problems at all. It's a beautiful place and the food absolutely delicious. The best afternoon tea I have ever had . Will definitely be returning. The service was top notch, making the visit so enjoyable and relaxing and friendly.

A lovely experience- amuse bouche and drinks in the drawing room, sensational dinner in the impressive restaurant- every plate was delicious and immaculately presented, all hand crafted in house by their own chefs. Margo, Frankie and Hope looked after us beautifully. We will be back to try everything else on the menu!

Fine dining experience in a quiet, pristine neighborhood in Stirling. Street parking very easy, the door is opened and you are greeted upon walking up the sidewalk. We were sat in one of the hotel’s sitting rooms for amuse bouche and drinks before being led to the dining room for our three course a la carte meal. Each dish was creatively curated, using the freshest ingredients and cooked wonderfully. Really delicious meal at an affordable price. The real seller is the service; each member of the staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. 5 star, michelin-worthy service that I didn’t expect to that level. A must dine in Stirling. I wouldn’t be surprised if this restaurant was on the Bib Gourmand list soon, and with a few more premium dishes to select, could earn a star as well. Make sure you get the full three courses, the desserts were incredible.

Went to check it out at lunchtime because I had heard good reports. It is a very classy establishment and unless you are in the know you wouldn't realise you could have lunch and afternoon tea there too (in the conservatory part). As a light lunch I had a salt beef and picallily sandwich and a coffee. It is very reasonably priced considering how expensive most restaurants and cafés are these days and it is very tastefully decorated and furnished, especially the restaurant which was set for evening. Also looked spotless. The atmosphere was only slightly lacking because there were not many people there. And perhaps there could have been a wider choice of sandwiches although I liked the "unusualness" of them which was more in keeping with a "fine dining" establishment

We had a wonderful meal here for my birthday in January, and I'm just getting around to leaving a review but I have not had a dining experience to match it since! The food was exquisite, each dish was exceptionally delicious and crafted with care and love, but an even bigger standout was the service. From our arrival at the door we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, beautiful surroundings and atmosphere, and it was clear that everything that could be done would be done to accommodate a fantastic night. Margo and the sommelier were so friendly and knowledgeable, even offering suggestions for local bars and places to visit, and we appreciated the chef also coming out to chat to us about the menu and experience. We really appreciated the little touches, them noticing that it was my birthday and bringing out complementary treats and allowing us to linger over a bottle of wine in the comfy armchairs in the next room. Couldn't fault the experience at all and can't wait to come back!

Had the Grand Afternoon tea today and it certainly lived up to its name. The soup and savouries were absolutely delicious. My thanks to the chef for the extra venison bridie when our waitress informed him that one of my party couldn't eat seafood. The scones and cakes were delightful too. My thanks to Margo our waitress for a very friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended and will be making a return visit

We had the Grand High Tea which was delicious & included taster savoury dishes such as soup, venison bites, salmon quiche etc. The pastries & sandwiches were also lovely. The food was lovingly prepared & to a very high standard. The chef obviously takes great pride in the food they prepare. The waitress was also lovely & nothing was too much trouble for her. Would highly recommend & would definitely return.

Wow what an incredible restaurant. The food was absolutely incredible and beautifully presented. The service was 5 star. We mentioned we had just gotten engaged and were provided with free champagne and the chef personally came out to talk to us and give us a free selection of desserts. Couldn’t fault one thing. We will remember this restaurant for making such a special occasion even more special. Fine dining at its best! We will definitely be back!

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night at The Orangey. We had the tasting menu and every course was delicious. The front of house staff were all very polite and welcoming it was a joy to eat there. We all be returning in the near future and will be telling all our friends and family what a pleasure it was to eat there.

Quite simply one of the best meals we have had.My wife and I were celebrating our second wedding anniversary and had received a gift voucher for the Orangery. We were able to book a table the day before and on arrival we were warmly welcomed at the door by the attendant, Margo, who took fantastic care of us from arrival to departure. We also had our 8-week old son and doors were held open and offers of help were given since we had a pram. The restaurant was an upmarket traditional setting in keeping with the Edwardian building and the menu was inviting from the beginning.For starters I had a confit of pork belly cassoulet with smoked paprika aioli, for main there was supreme of Highland pheasant and, to finish, a delicious toffee apple panna cotta.The food was absolutely superb, beautifully prepared and presented and Margo, our attendant, was the epitome of professional and set the standard for what other establishments should aim for: efficient, experienced, welcoming, attentive but not overbearing, and simply put guests at ease and added to their dining experience. To top it all off, she provided two glasses of complimentary bubbly on hearing it was our anniversary meal. A touch of class.My wife and I had a fantastic evening and would recommend this establishment to anyone. First-rate Scottish dining at its best.

Stayed here on Friday the 10th of December for dinner, bed and breakfast we had a lovely time. Staff could not have nicer. So much so that I have booked on Wednesday 15th to take my friends for Christmas lunch. Thanks so much for an excellent stay.

Staff very pleasant but food below par.

Booked the table as the weekends were busy. Is that a good sign or not?? As it turned out it was not to busy and we have a super meal. Service was smart and quick and the orders were placed and executed well. The food was very well presented and excellent. The starters both full of flavour followed by the pheasant and excellently presented. With deserts of Apple Pana Cotta and ginger & pineapple pudding lovely dessert. Lovely food well presented full of flavour highly recommended. Only minor point was it was not very warm, so attire accordingly (it a conservatory).

Visited the orangery for the first time Friday night . We were a party of 4 and what a wonderful dining experience we had. From arrival we were made very welcome to the beautiful dining room. The front of house staff were friendly and knowledgeable and we got the pleasure of meeting the talented chef at the end of our night.We opted for the tasting menu with one Gluten free diner. Every course was cooked so well from scallop to butter bean with pork belly right through to mains of beef we were very impressed . Nice to have a quality localRestaurant without having to travel to Edinburgh /Glasgow . We will definitely be back and maybe try the afternoon tea or visit for your next wine pairing night. Went here overnight stay for our 10th wedding anniversary and by luck got room no 10 lol I love it here rooms are gorgeous staff are so pleasant and kind the breakfast OMG!! Absolutely delicious defo reccomend this place and definitely be back Thankyou for a lovely stay

As we were staying at Victoria Square. We booked in for dinner and it was wonderful! 3 courses of perfection in quality and presentation. All topped off with perfect, efficient, friendly service. My wife stated it was the best meal ever! I don't disagree.

We visited The Orangery as a treat meal when visiting my sister who is a student in Stirling. Given the reputation, she was keen to try out the fine dining experience. The food lived up to expectation however we felt rushed from the minute we stepped into the building... With it becoming a running joke on the table, "how fast do you think we will be out of here!?".We arrived 15 minutes early, and were very professionally greeted and led to our table. Given the special occasion, we had intended on doing the "tasting menu" however did not realise that you had to specify that you wanted this at the time of booking - we were informed that they were simply too busy to provide the tasting menu tonight. At the time, there was one other couple seated. We requested more time with the menu to make our choices but sure enough were promoted shortly later for our decision.The food (as I mentioned before) was excellent - the one thing worth mentioning was that the lamb had been replaced by beef fillet, however the sauce/gravy served was very much still a lamb reduction which took me by surprise. A well cooked beautiful piece of fillet in a strong lamb-flavoured sauce? Perhaps I am just old fashioned... Having declined teas/coffees, we were promptly handed the bill - this was incorrect however swiftly rectified in a professional manner.Whilst it is always a positive to not wait for food, unfortunately tonight we all felt that the speed of the service actually detracted from the occasion as we felt hurried- leaving us wondering whether they were short staffed on that particular night? Overall we would definitely recommend this restaurant as it served the best food we have eaten in Stirling this week and the setting is beautiful.

I am a notably fussy eater and find that I enjoy eating out in spite of the food. However, every part of my meal was a delight and I enjoyed my evening because of the food (a very rare experience!)I found that the vegetarian option was, as usual, quite limited and ordered what I could with the usual feeling that it would be ok. I was so wrong! The flavours complemented each other beyond belief and the textures were exquisite. Having eaten in many restaurants in many parts of the world, I can honestly say that this was up there with the very best. Well done to all. (The service was lovely too- helpful and friendly!)

When we were greeted at the door we were lead in to the lounge to sit and wait whilst our table was getting ready, our drinks orders were taken, the only issue I had was I like a grey goose or a belvedere vodka and they had none. Once our table was ready we were lead in ti the beautiful dining room and seated. Homemade bread and butter was brought out to us and ohh my it was delicious. I had the spinach starter wish was delightful and I had the lamb main well I can't even describe how amazing it tasted. It was like a party in my mouth with all the different flavours that worked so well together . I had the chocolate desert it was OK , I think I just chose wrong on it tbh, but the sheer workmanship that went in to crafting it was unreal. My husband had the pheasant main and he said it reminded him of Christmas Dinner and it brought back so many wonderful memories. The sevice was 5 star, food was 5 star. One thing I didn't like is that you are charged a 10% sevice fee but, but that fee dosnt get sent to the the staff who work very hard and should get it.

First time for a while and the new (to us) dinner menu was compact but beautifully formed (as usual). Starters ( rabbit & black pudding and pigeon ) set the tone, Mains - hubby thoroughly enjoyed the sea bass and I loved the quail, special mention for the barley risotto. Then the puddings - cherry bakewell and red currant (meringue)- yum yum. The staff were their usual attentive selves with good attention to COVID precautions and it was lovely to have the background music. The word is getting out there which is great for the orangery but might make it more difficult for us to get a booking.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience here at the weekend. My siblings and I took our 95 year old Gran out for afternoon tea and we were welcomed even before we got in the building. Our servers were very attentive and the afternoon tea was superb, every part of it done very well. Beautiful setting too. Highly recommend if you are after a special afternoon.

We ate in Orangery whilst staying at Victoria Square. A huge thank you to the excellent & accomplished chef and the front of house team comprising of Margo, Frankie and a lovely trainee from Prague. We opted for starters of whiskey cured salmon & caviar along with a butternut squash pate with roasted vegetables. Both were delightful as was the ore dinner homemade breads and butter choices. We both opted for mains of beef accompanied by a reasonably priced Italian Barbera wine from a comprehensive list. Our dessert of a twist on a bake well tart & cherry sorbet was quite excellent. To round off our evening we retired to the sitting room for coffee & a nightcap. Accomplished cooking in a lovely setting with relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

In defence of the Orangery, the only reason we went was because my friend had been given a gift voucher, so perhaps if we’d been paying and had seen the menu before booking, we wouldn’t have chosen to go. The house and surroundings are beautiful. We were seated in an exquisite drawing room, at a bay window looking out to the quiet, leafy square. Service was attentive and pleasant. However when I asked if there would be a gluten free option, I was told that our food was already made up and that my friend should have asked for a GF choice when she booked. Fair enough, but she wasn’t asked, and like me, assumed we’d have the option on the day. Luckily I’m gluten intolerant, not allergic. The presentation of the food looked fabulous, but unfortunately both my friend and I didn’t enjoy the sandwiches, or most of the cakes. The bread was dry and the sandwich fillings weren’t to our taste. Out of the selection of cakes, the tiny scones, lemon cake and battenburg were the only ones we enjoyed. We tasted a couple of others, but again, not to our taste, which is unusual because we usually love all things cake related. We were also a bit put out by the waitress, who repeatedly moved my glass by picking it up by the rim, seemingly unaware of COVID dangers. I would love to recommend because the staff were lovely and the house is gorgeous, but sadly the food was disappointing.

To celebrate our anniversary, my wife and I booked ourselves an afternoon tea with prosecco. It was fabulous.We had a tasty little selection of sandwiches: salmon, ham, cheese and rocket and classic cucumber.But the real winner are the handmade cakes, an amazing selction of finger sized sweets. Sadly I can't remember what they all were, but I do rememeber every one of them being scrumptious. My particular favourite was they're battenburg (I do love marzipan), my wife's favourite was the bitesize victoria sponge.Would absolutely recommed this experiance to anyone visiting the Stirling area.

Sept 2021 - The meal was delicious and presented well. The service was excellent. We were slightly disappointed that out of 4 choices of main course. the quail which we had wanted to order was unavailable. Comfortable surroundings but the lighting could be warmer-rather stark white lights. We would definitely go back when we are in the area again.

The much missed and hugely anticipated tasting menu is back! A well balanced range of foods, flavours and textures created a delicious tasting menu. We love that this restaurant changes its menu seasonally making it a fresh experience each time. For us, it is a delight that we can walk there and both enjoy a glass of wine as we eat. Tonight we visited as a family and all enjoyed our meals. We have never been disappointed with our evening meals and the tasting menu is a huge treat.Well done to the chefs and staff ... and thank you for yet another delicious meal.

This is such a beautiful place to stay. The bedroom (3) was spacious, the shower was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. The lounge and dining room have lots of original features including amazing plaster work in the ceilings. Kari and every one of the staff was friendly and helpful. The food, both at the evening meal and at breakfast, was amazing - should apply for a Michelin star! Can’t wait to visit again.

My friend booked this restaurant as it was recommended by a local and, although it seemed rather pricy, my husband and I were keen to try it. Although the staff were friendly and efficient, the restauran felt as if any atmosphere had been sucked out of the room. Perhaps a bit of light music would be lifted the hushed silence. To be fair, the starters were great; my husband, who is a vegetarian, was a particular fan of his. However, the main course seemed to be plenty of nothing in terms of taste. Perhaps, sole is not the most flavoursome of fish but my husband was not greatly impressed by either his main or dessert. Nonetheless, my friend's husband was in raptures at his main course which I believe was guinea fowl. I suppose what I am trying to say is the food was rather bland. It was all a bit emperor's new clothees. Perhaps that is born out by the mispelling of pigeon on one of the menus.

We had the Afternoon Tea and for £15pp it is the best value Afternoon Tea I've had yet! There were plenty of sandwiches and traybakes, and the staff were so friendly. We even had the room to ourselves, due to good timing. We had two of the tea stands in this photo. Would highly recommend when in Stirling, a real hidden gem.

We were looking for something bit different in Stirling to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and attentive and food was absolutely delicious. Not an extensive menu but what we had was so tasty and the additional bread with flavoured butters was an added bonus. Brought back memories as used to be a favourite drinking haunt many years ago but loved the decor and will definitely be back soon.

My family came together here to celebrate my Dad’s 80th birthday. Not only were the Afternoon Teas scrumptious but the team went above and beyond to provide vegan alternatives which were equally delicious.Although we had ordered a separate birthday cake, the chef added special touches towards the presentation.The thoughtfulness and attention of the Orangery team was exceptional making a very special occasion even more memorable. My family’s sincere thanks to all at the Orangery.

We have come to Scotland for a week away and googled places to eat and the orangery was top of the list of recommendations and we couldn’t have been more thrilled!! From the moment we walked through the door, Margot and Joseph were attentive, friendly and helpful! Giving us tips on where to visit and advising us of their covid policies throughout! The food was out of this world, we had the scollops, venison and cheese with homemade biscuits and the chocolate and malt tart with the intention of sharing but that never happened!!! Far too delicious to share!! We would highly recommend! Thank you for such a lovely evening!

The Orangery restaurant was a wonder experience. Our foods choices included the duck, scallops, venison, and vegetarian choices… and the wines were great (including port). It’s a beautiful environment, overlooking Victoria Square. I would thoroughly recommend; a rare treat.

What a hidden gem Victoria Square turned out to be! Our first stay in Stirling and in Scotland, and we could not have been more delighted. A beautiful Victorian building with stunning (and exceptionally comfortable) rooms, a friendly and helpful welcome and staff who really could not do enough for you. And then there was The Orangery. Whilst sat for dinner, we overheard someone say 'why would anyone stay here and eat anywhere else? This is the best place in Stirling.' I couldn't agree more. The menu was inventive, exciting and inspiring. The food was simply sublime. Breakfast the next morning was equally fantastic. Whilst we dined at The Orangery, the chef recieved special thanks from every customer, and several requests to come and be a live-in chef. Every accolade was deserved, and more. I honestly cannot say how highly we recommend Victoria Square and The Orangery. If you're in Stirling and you're looking for somewhere to eat or stay, look no further!!!

Couldn’t wait for The Orangery to reopen as lockdown is lifted. My wife and I went along for a midweek evening meal. As always the staff couldn’t be more helpful and gracious. The food here is very different from the offerings you’ll find in other venues round town. This time I had the king scallops as a starter. The sauce accompanying this starter is so moreish, shallot cream with black garlic. I could’ve licked the plate. The main was venison cooked to perfection on a base of what I can only describe as chefs special mashed potato accompanied by a cage of crispy greens. Absolutely Lush . I only wish I had more time to describe my wife’s dishes, but I’ll leave that to her. Can’t wait to go back

One of the best in Stirling. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully we get back to some sort of normality soon to let this place thrive even more.

Hemos visitado varias veces y la comida es excelente y tiene una relación calidad-precio fantástica para la calidad de los platos. El nuevo menú nos hizo luchar para hacer una elección porque las opciones son muy buenas. El extra adicional es la forma en que el personal está aplicando las precauciones necesarias. Son muy profesionales y de alguna manera logran mantener una mayor distancia sin dejar de estar atentos. No es un equilibrio fácil de lograr, ¡así que me quito el sombrero ante ellos!

Excelente comida y excelente servicio en estos tiempos difíciles. El personal es muy efectivo y muy enfocado en mantener a sus clientes seguros mientras mantiene un aire de diversión y ligereza. Esta noche tuve la comida de tres platos que incluía un entrante de un paquete de hojaldre de hojaldre de hongos y queso de cabra con una mermelada de cebolla roja - ¡hermoso! El solomillo estaba bien preparado y mi postre de chocolate y pistacho lo redondeó muy bien. Definitivamente vamos a estar de vuelta.

Can't get booked tried for a while for the weekend they don't have a chef on Sundays, so bookings get closed on a Saturday, never heard anything like it, why no chef surly affecting business, and food can't be fresh on Sundays if precooked??

Myself and my husband were gifted a voucher for the restaurant and we enjoyed dinner there. From the moment we entered we were given a warm welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and Keren the restaurant supervisor could not have been more helpful. We would definitely go back! Thank you!

Booked this venue for my wife and I as a surprise treat and we were not disappointed. The impressive building in the King's Park area is easy to find with plenty of on street parking nearby. The staff are attentive from the moment you arrive showing us to a cosy drawing room where we had drinks, canapes and a chance to peruse the excellent menu. Taken to the intimate dining room where the excellent service continued. Food does not disappoint and both of us thoroughly enjoyed the well portioned starters before having the delicious mains. See photos...The bill was very reasonable for the food, drink and service we enjoyed. I would definitely go back again. If you are in Stirling The Orangery stands out as somewhere different with a bit of quality and is well worth a visit. Make a reservation just in case, because you're missing a trick if you can't get in here.

El ritmo del servicio fue relajado y bien juzgado, incluyendo un par de "descansos". Todo terminado con café y pastelitos en el salón. Bien de precio por la calidad de la comida en un entorno precioso.

Beautiful surroundings. Food delicious. Staff very friendly. Had lunch with girlfriends. A lovely experience all round.

We had a lovely lunch here. It was our first visit but definitely won’t be the last. I had the pheasant as a main course and hubby had the venison casserole. We both found our mains thoroughly delicious and the accompanying veg, potatoes etc were spot on. Desserts were also delicious. The whole meal came to under £50 and that was with a glass of wine and a soft drink. Great value for the high quality of food. Staff helpful and friendly. We look forward to returning.

Hidden in a quiet area of Stirling is this gem of a restaurant. We would highly recommend it. The cuisine was superb, the staff unobtrusively attentive, the chef a master of fine cuisine.

Excellent lunch here withe plenty of choices in various price ranges. Most enjoyable with no pressure from staff who were excellent. Will definitely be back when next in Stirling

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was beautiful and tasty. A great find and we'll definitely be going again.

Surpassed expectation. Greeted and then offered to take aperitifs in the opulent lounge which was warm and inviting. Drinks were served with complimentary canapés before being shown through to the orangery. Great thought gone in to cater for frosty weather with heavy curtains and blinds and extra heating. Candles set the scene and staff lovely, bubbly and enthusiastic. Then there was the food! Excellent menu, fabulous food and you could tell it was made with love. Great find in Stirling!

Our group of friends enjoyed a superb afternoon tea at The Orangery in Stirling. The room was warm and cosy on a bitterly cold day, and we were welcomed with an offer of wine by friendly and attentive staff, who went the extra mile to provide a large jug to store our bouquets of flowers. There was a wide array of fresh, delicate and delicious sandwiches and cakes, including some unique speciality vegetarian/vegan options. Those we couldn't eat were boxed to take away. We had numerous refills of tea and coffee, and there was always a member of staff on hand to ensure we had everything we needed. Thanks to all for a lovely two hour experience! Simply the best afternoon tea we have experienced.

Relaxed atmosphere and great food beautifully served by friendly staff. Just what Stirling has been needing

The Orangery is a small venue, very well designed. Nicely done. The dinner was superb. The chef excellent. The staff friendly. The wine list is good too. All in all we had a splendid evening.

Celebrated in style, spent a lovely time enjoying afternoon tea to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. I requested on booking if we could have our tea in the lounge, as Mum & Dad would be more comfortable there. Margo was the lovely lady who attended to our every need from refilling the teapot to tending the cozy fire. The afternoon tea was delicious and much enjoyed by all. Thank you to the team at The Orangery for all their hard work, it was as perfect! ☕️

A friend suggested we try The Orangery for afternoon tea, I hadn't heard of it but she said she'd heard it was very good. Well, what a wonderful surprise. Beautifully decorated and furnished, cozy inside, lovely staff and delicious afternoon tea, we had a lovely time and will definitely return. Thank you everyone at The Orangery.

I wasn't really aware that the Orangery existed until today when a friend suggested on a whim we have lunch there, having parked outside by chance!

I discovered The Orangery quite by accident when I parked outside & started chatting to Keren who was putting out their "A" board. I rescued my friend from our planned lunch location nearby and we are so pleased we tried The Orangery. Delicious food - the poached egg and haggis benedict was truly wonderful, as was the black pudding dauphinoise with bacon & egg. As you can see, no run of the mill, standard fare here. The surroundings are smart, comfortable and warm; the service was friendly and impeccable. We caught sight of the afternoon tea offering and have already decided that might be our next reason for a visit. Do try the place, you won't be disappointed.Also, it is relatively easy to park, but of course there are the pay & display machines everywhere!

Really tasty artichoke and truffle soup of the day followed by a superb West Coast Bouillabaisse, really fresh fish and scallops in a tasty tomato base sauce.
