The Old Tea Room in Belfast

Would like my previous review to be ignored. Issue was not with the shop but Justeat. I spoke to the shop on the phone and they provided a satisfactory solution.

Seriously disappointed I've waited almost an hour for delivery of my order and the status has changed to delivered but no items have been received. How is this possible without the delivery code being provided? This will be the last time I order from here.

food was nice. But they forgot the pepper sauce.

The only issue I had was the sauce on the burger. It was a bit spicy. Also the delivery guy was lovely.

Nice food but over priced really for what I got

Lovely staff, very accomodating - burgers were top class.

Ordered grilla crunch fries, advertised as chips topped with mince, tomatoes jalapeños with cheese and taco sauce. Received chips with cheese topped with bacon and taco sauce. Very disappointing but girl on phone couldn’t have been more lovely and apologised. Still disappointing as it’s being advertised as something different.

Burgers where burnt and left a sour taste in my mouth sorry i wont order agsin

food arrived cold and the milkshakes were warm. usually order from here but very disappointed with last night's delivery.

One of the best burgers I've had, caramelised and a great crust. Meat was juicy and cooked to perfection 👌

Delivery driver as great, but they didn't actually put the burger in one of the burgers. Was just a bun, lettuce and a pickle... Not great really.

Meh wasn’t bad wasn’t nice but when smash bros charge a 10er for a far superior burger I think 8 pound is overpriced

Burgers are amazing. The fries weren’t as nice as the first time I got them only a few days before.

Food was fab! But ordered the peppercorn chips and they came with no peppercorn sauce.. and also ordered 2 of the peppercorn burgers and that also came with no peppercorn sauce either?? But other than that the food was great and will order again :)

The food was absolutely amazing 11/10. I love the seasoning on the burger too and the chicken on top of the chips. My husband really enjoyed his burger and chips too. They are some of the best burgers we have ever tried.

We got the baby grilla and big grilla burgers, peppercorn chips and were given a cheesecake to try which was delicious… absolutely massive portions for the price! Food was very tasty, especially the peppercorn chips!! Would recommend if you’re looking a quick yummy takeaway :)

What can I say "Absolutely Bootiful". First time ordering and I can say I will definitely be back in a hurry. The chicken stacked peppercorn fries and burgers are delicious. Food was full of flavour. And didn't disappoint on delivery time and everything was still hot😋👌

10/10 best smash burger I’ve ever had. Also chips and peppercorn sauce are great too.

Top notch for grub. Ordered triple patty smashed burger and sweet chilli chicken grilla. There was so much I couldn't finish it all. I will definitely be back 10 outa 10.

collection text received at 8:15, food still wasn’t ready by 8:30. i left a note asking for no sauce and they put sauce on it. i ordered 3 different dips and got all the same.

First time iv ever been able to order a gluten free bun for my burger and I’m so happy about that. I ordered the baby grilla and a chip. Food was lovely!! Defo would order again.

Absolutely amazing food, the burger are literally the nicest I’ve ever tasted, the fries are amazing. My partner got the clucker fries and said they were amazing as well. Definitely our new place for food, restaurant quality.

Haven’t had anything like this there burgers are absolutely unbelievable and I’m not a big fan of burgers but there burgers are something else

Amazing burgers again!! would love pickles as an option on it tho. Delivery was super fast like 20 mins from order to door.

ordered the "Meal Deal" which is supposed to be 2 patties, cheese and sauce - i got a rather depressed looking burger with a single patty, no cheese, no sauce and all for £10 - better off going to mcdonalds! tastewise it was dead on and i would eat it again, but the fact it wasnt as described and the portion size was tiny makes me feel i've been ripped off and would put me off ever ordering from here again.

This was one the best burgers iv ever had! Smash burger with cheese n salad was perfect. Juicy and crispy on the outside amazin! The chicken burger too was phenomenal and the fries where lovely n skinny plus well seasoned. Delivery time was great and driver was sound. We will definitely be back!

Kept delaying delivery but arrived on time. Food was worth the wait. The burger was unreal. Look forward to trying them all.

Very expensive burger, more expensive than city centre ones; Bunsen, smashbros, five guys etc but saying that it was really nice so I didn’t mind the price. However chips need some work, mine were anemic barely cooked, wasn’t a fan. Place has potential

Think I've just found my new favourite burger place. NY burger was smashing(😉) and the fries were the best I've had for a very long time. Hopefully they expand their menu because it won't take long for me to work my way through what they currently offer...

top notch food but delivery driver took ages so was cold but food is banging

The food was really nice, but I didn't get everything that I ordered and the tiny tub of coleslaw was too expensive, even for the discount. I didn't get cheese on my chips either. I tried to call, to rectify, but the number doesn't work. It's a shame, because the beef and bird burger was the best I've had in Belfast.

Everything we ordered arrived hot and was absolutely delicious. The prices can be high but I felt it wasn’t a waste, you can taste that everything is made fresh. Worth the money.

I ordered 4 tins of juice only 2 was in the bottom of the bag by the time I got back to the door the bike was away.

I don't remember much about the delivery time. This was my first order and the burgers were overpowered with sauce. Other than that the food was nice

Food quality was great but cannot justify the price. When places like brothers chippie do equal quality and larger portions for 30% less cost, it's unlikely I'll order again.

The burgers are so filling everything about it was more than perfect even the fries were 100% will deffo order again

Burger was unreal, although I never got to try the peppered sauce as it was spilled All over the bag and seeped through on to the table

Lovely and homely feel, staff very friendly and made to feel very welcome, had a scone and was delicious.

Recently been taken over by new Management and I was dying to try it out, cuz I've always been a fan ...best ever fry, not a bit greasy and my mushrooms -which I love cremated were fried to my perfection!! My kids loved their rainbow cake as always too (I took this home for them.)

Love the food here and the warm homely atmosphere, the staff are fantastic and super friendly.

Son and daughter in law had their wedding reception here just as COVID was ending was lovely

Love visiting when home, staff although busy are always attentive, friendly and helpful. Menu is so varied we are spoiled for choice! Food is always freshly prepared and delish! Prices are hard to beat! Happy to recommend and will be back soon.

Heel lekker gegeten. We hadden de curry (chicken) en nog een ander kipgerecht. Wat drinken erbij en dat voor minder dan £20,-. Daarnaast, niet onbelangrijk, heel vriendelijk geholpen. Midden op Shankhill Road.

Was here yesterday with family, its a lovely wee place, all the food we had was delicious the staff were great and even though place was packed servers were still attentive, will definitely be back

4 people were with me we had a great experience and the food was even greater an there desserts are amazing

The Old Tea Room is a hidden treasure. The staff is fantastic, so very friendly and they provide excellent service. I only had a coffee but will surely come back for lunch one of these days cause what I saw looked very good!!! I highly recommend this amazing place. Thank you so much!!!!

Absolutely brilliant, was the first time that i have been in this cafe and the " Ulster Fry ' i had was quite the best that i ever had, the service is second to none, quick and excellent, friendly staff and as i have said the food was outstanding, they also do tea and scones, the only thing that surprised me was how cheap the bill was, definitely worth the five Stars that i have given it .

Terrific cafe on the Shankill Road, Belfast. There's a great menu and the food is always good. I got the Tower steakburger, chips and a cappuccino on my visit. It's popular with the locals, which is always a good sign. The staff are friendly and popped by to check I was enjoying my meal. Nice place to come into and relax. There's no difficulty getting free parking on the streets around here and it's a good place to wander around the local shops.

Ok food.. fresh cream on meringue had no flavour and well over priced ...fresh but nothing special oh and no toilets

Lovely food and drinks, I enjoyed everything that was given, the only negative things I have to say is they have no toilets at all which if your serving food and drinks you have to have a toilet for customers and staff, another thing is the service is quite long when I ordered the customers that came in after us actually got before us so I give this place 3 stars as I wasn’t too keen on it.

We have been here a few times and food is always nice, the people who work there are very friendly. My son also loves their rainbow cake!

Food was fantastic and service was very quick i enjoyed every bit of it and the coffee was lovely and strong 😊

Even though the place has 4 rating for hygiene the cups and cutlery were stained so I would not be confident given the current pandemic we are in that they have full measures in place to protect public. Had to sanitise them before use.Had to wait half an hour or just over for a fry and a pancake stack. Just before it arrived a staff member informed me it would be a few more minutes as they are waiting soda bread delivery. It was cold when arrived and bacon undercooked and childs pancake stack that was supposed to have maple syrup had very little on it and was very dry and 1 of the pancakes burnt. I would have got up and left only for my daughter as she would have been embarrassed if I complained. Would not reccomend this place at all and that was the first time there and most definitely the last.

I have heard the phrase hidden gems used about little places that you wouldn't expect to be so good in other areas around Belfast and I can honestly say that the old tea room on the Shankill is one of these hidden gems and it right on my doorstep.. The staff are friendly and attentive.. The food is amazing and the cakes... Mind blowing... Also every table is protected from other tables buy a clear screen so they have went above and beyond on safety... Give the place a try you won't be disappointed!

A lovely friendly wee place the staff are very kind and welcoming and the food and cakes are to die for, i would recomend if you ever find yourself on the Shankill Road to call in and treat yourself you wont be disappointed.
