The Old Tea Room in Belfast

Think I've just found my new favourite burger place. NY burger was smashing(😉) and the fries were the best I've had for a very long time. Hopefully they expand their menu because it won't take long for me to work my way through what they currently offer...

Lovely and homely feel, staff very friendly and made to feel very welcome, had a scone and was delicious.

Recently been taken over by new Management and I was dying to try it out, cuz I've always been a fan ...best ever fry, not a bit greasy and my mushrooms -which I love cremated were fried to my perfection!! My kids loved their rainbow cake as always too (I took this home for them.)

Love the food here and the warm homely atmosphere, the staff are fantastic and super friendly.

Son and daughter in law had their wedding reception here just as COVID was ending was lovely

Love visiting when home, staff although busy are always attentive, friendly and helpful. Menu is so varied we are spoiled for choice! Food is always freshly prepared and delish! Prices are hard to beat! Happy to recommend and will be back soon.

Excellent food and service, best on the Shankill Road Do try you will not be disappointed .

Heel lekker gegeten. We hadden de curry (chicken) en nog een ander kipgerecht. Wat drinken erbij en dat voor minder dan £20,-. Daarnaast, niet onbelangrijk, heel vriendelijk geholpen. Midden op Shankhill Road.

Was here yesterday with family, its a lovely wee place, all the food we had was delicious the staff were great and even though place was packed servers were still attentive, will definitely be back

4 people were with me we had a great experience and the food was even greater an there desserts are amazing

The Old Tea Room is a hidden treasure. The staff is fantastic, so very friendly and they provide excellent service. I only had a coffee but will surely come back for lunch one of these days cause what I saw looked very good!!! I highly recommend this amazing place. Thank you so much!!!!

Absolutely brilliant, was the first time that i have been in this cafe and the " Ulster Fry ' i had was quite the best that i ever had, the service is second to none, quick and excellent, friendly staff and as i have said the food was outstanding, they also do tea and scones, the only thing that surprised me was how cheap the bill was, definitely worth the five Stars that i have given it .

Terrific cafe on the Shankill Road, Belfast. There's a great menu and the food is always good. I got the Tower steakburger, chips and a cappuccino on my visit. It's popular with the locals, which is always a good sign. The staff are friendly and popped by to check I was enjoying my meal. Nice place to come into and relax. There's no difficulty getting free parking on the streets around here and it's a good place to wander around the local shops.

Ok food.. fresh cream on meringue had no flavour and well over priced ...fresh but nothing special oh and no toilets

Lovely food and drinks, I enjoyed everything that was given, the only negative things I have to say is they have no toilets at all which if your serving food and drinks you have to have a toilet for customers and staff, another thing is the service is quite long when I ordered the customers that came in after us actually got before us so I give this place 3 stars as I wasn’t too keen on it.

We have been here a few times and food is always nice, the people who work there are very friendly. My son also loves their rainbow cake!

Food was fantastic and service was very quick i enjoyed every bit of it and the coffee was lovely and strong 😊

Even though the place has 4 rating for hygiene the cups and cutlery were stained so I would not be confident given the current pandemic we are in that they have full measures in place to protect public. Had to sanitise them before use.Had to wait half an hour or just over for a fry and a pancake stack. Just before it arrived a staff member informed me it would be a few more minutes as they are waiting soda bread delivery. It was cold when arrived and bacon undercooked and childs pancake stack that was supposed to have maple syrup had very little on it and was very dry and 1 of the pancakes burnt. I would have got up and left only for my daughter as she would have been embarrassed if I complained. Would not reccomend this place at all and that was the first time there and most definitely the last.

I have heard the phrase hidden gems used about little places that you wouldn't expect to be so good in other areas around Belfast and I can honestly say that the old tea room on the Shankill is one of these hidden gems and it right on my doorstep.. The staff are friendly and attentive.. The food is amazing and the cakes... Mind blowing... Also every table is protected from other tables buy a clear screen so they have went above and beyond on safety... Give the place a try you won't be disappointed!

A lovely friendly wee place the staff are very kind and welcoming and the food and cakes are to die for, i would recomend if you ever find yourself on the Shankill Road to call in and treat yourself you wont be disappointed.
