Total rip off. Big prices and appalling food with tiny portions! Don't waste you money! I mean, £4 for this tiny portion of chips is simply outrageous. This place used to be great and I even left numerous positive reviews here and elsewhere. Over the last year or so it has got gradually worse and worse and I fear is now in terminal decline. Despite being a patron for over 15 years I simply refuse to be ripped off and taken for a mug any more. Please please please sort it out before you run the business into the ground!

Nipped in for a bite to eat before driving home , safe to say we won’t be back . Food came out way too quick to be fresh .Burger tased like something off a cheap burger van ,kids burger was dry , and the chicken was rubbery like it had been microwaved . Very small choice on the menu , and considering it’s a seaside town there was only fish & chips or scampi on the menu, would have thought there would been a wider fish selection. Staff in the kitchen had long hair uncovered whilst doing the food. Waited for staff to notice we had finished for about 15mins before having to ask for the kids deserts . The place was empty and now i understand why . Next time we will stop off in town for food .

Appalling food. Not great value for money at all. Should have known as afterwards we noticed no one else at this pub was eating.

Very disappointing 🙁 Came for food on a weeknight and even though it was very quiet it still seemed understaffed. Food mostly tasted microwaved, cake was dry and pizza was extremely bready with way too much cheese. Could be enjoyable to some but too greasy for my taste. We didn’t complain because the staff already seemed rushed but it seems a shame as this used to be a lovely place to eat.

Food is standard pub grub but it's a nice place to grab a cold drink and probably has the best beer garden in Amble

Updating on latest experience, food is absolutely terrible, raw pizza, raw chicken served to us vile, pints tasted water down, the food seems to be all frozen and just not made fresh on the premises which is a real shame, staff were hopeless today as well, when sent raw pizza back was given a horrible look, and a long sigh, no offer of a replacement just a shrug off, simply not good enough won't be going back anytime soon !!!!

Went in today and tried the fish and chips plus drink for £11. Excellent! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Tracy (manager) has made a big difference. Previously we didn't eat there as the staff were surly and unfriendly

Really disappointed. Menu has changed and doesn't have enough choice, poor presentation, bland and undercooked even if frozen. Service and staff were nice and friendly but food has gone down hill as it used to be lovely.

Good place to stop on a walk. Good service. Friendly staff. Only knocked it down one star due to plastic glasses if you were outside. Understandable due to being next to a large caravan park and lots of children around.

Food was nice. Chips and slushy were Awful, Cheesy Garlic bread and Fish were nice. Pizza was yummy! Vegan Boloansase was okay. Would love more vegan options. Would be back

Sunday visit, 2pmish and the place was near enough empty which was a sign to leave then. Staff unwelcoming. Order roast beef dinners which had no taste, beef was possibly boiled, not roasted, roast potatoes were soft on the outside, might as well have been boiled, onion and spring onion in salad order with kids meal. Food served to table by a young lady who barely spoke, had no training on table service, no offer of salt, pepper, nothing. The staff were seen eating, drinking and laughing next to serving area with kitchen staff in view and hearing of customers, just before the bar and kitchen staff were then seen smoking directly outside the open fire escape of the kitchen. On seeing me looking, they pushed the door too, I was going to take a photo for proof, no staff were in the bar at this time, apart from one female who had been cleaning windows at the other end of the building and approached a man patiently waiting to be served. On a Sunday afternoon this pub should have been busier but it wasn't. Food is expensive for its quality and it was tasteless, drinks are over priced, and combined poor staff attitude, its a sinking ship. I blame the management as they clearly have no interest, don't care enough to improve bar, restaurant service. Security cams might help provide a pic should anyone be interested in my comments for needed improvements. 5 star caravan Park next door, this bar has some work to concentrate on to get customers to return.

Food is ok... For a cafe....... This is a restaurant but they sell cafe food at restaurant prices. Chicken often is so crispy is flies off the plate when you try to cut it, service isn't great, takes forever to be served. Atmosphere isn't great, more like a pub when there's a football match, but the "restaurant" is just a little place on the side of the bar, no walls.

I used to go here a few years back and the food was great. However, I recently visited for a Sunday dinner and it was a huge letdown. The Sunday lunch was clearly not cooked fresh. The potatoes were cold, burnt and dry. That said, the meat wasn't too bad. I'd like to see the staff more attentive to who enters the building. I was stood there for a good few mins before anyone spoke to me. Even a quick "I'll be with you in a sec while I serve these others" would go a long way. No wonder the car park was empty. I'm a bit disappointed. This place has bags of potential too. Such a shame. Hopefully, the management sees this and can address the problems.

Amazing place. Have just found it and I love it. Coffee with my friend on Tuesday then lunch with my husband today. Fish and chips to die for. Friendly staff and lovely environment. It was like being on holiday only 10 miles from Boulmer.👍

the new waiter simon is fantastic. excellent service from him. was very polite ,friendly and attentive. ordered chicken wings and katsu chicken was all lovely great experience.

Nice pub food bit slow with service

Do not keep to the advertised opening times for food and last orders. Especially Sunday to Thursdays. In fact we were made to feel that uncomfortable with staff constantly walking past us and starting to turn lights off as there was only us in the pub. Impossible to make plans to go for a meal. The next night I rang up at 8:15 to see if they were still serving food and I was told they couldn't guarantee it. Hence we didn't bother so we walkedt into Amble. I'm sick of giving them second chances, well not anymore.

Kids meals was good. Adults salad main, the salad looked like it was ready to throw out.

First impression on going in was that it was wasn’t busy on a Saturday night. Now I know why. We ordered 5 meals altogether, they arrived at the table with 10 or 15 minute gaps between them. Quality of food was poor to be polite. It was the worst meal I’ve been served in a very long time. Most of it went back to the kitchen when the plates were collected. The rest of the food was ok at best but value for money was poor. I’d rather have given my money to someone who really needed it.

As a sole diner I was served quickly and respectfully .My food was good...the only problem was the size of the portion!I struggled to finish it but I did because it wss delicious! I was happy to pass on the desert!

It was horrible it took 20 minutes for them to bring us our drinks and 1 hour 30 minutes for our food to come we went at 6 o clock and left at 8 this is the worst place I would give it 0 stars you could smell the stench of the toilets from the table it was vile the house white wine was so strong that it could unblock a drain use it for your toilets not as a drink do yourself a favor and stay away

Wonderful food, lovely staff, 😍

First and last time. Food was burnt, sent back and new one burnt and running in oil. Burgers were burnt, bacon so salty couldn't be eaten either. At no point were we asked if everything was OK and guy who brought food had his big overcoat on all the time making us feel very unwelcome. As an amble resident supporting local business is important but sadly we won't be back

Having spent the lunchtime searching many pubs to unsuccessfully to try and get vegan food this was our last option. It turns out that The Old Storehouse has an extensive menu including several vegan options. The vegan cottage pie was excellent.

Excellent service and good food. The hanging skewers were something a bit different and very much worth a try.

What can I say superb service, excellent food, highly recommended

Busy place next door to a holiday park

Good 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️followed by excellent lunch. Served very quickly.

Comfortable and friendly and dog friendly. Plenty of places outside for children to play and the price of the children's meals is reasonable. Staffing is not consistent - sometimes you can't get hold of a member or staff and other times they overwhelm. Adult meals vary - I would have given it 4 stars but the vegetarian options are very limited.

The generic cop out of 'Hours may differ' is not a good enough 'Get Out of Jail Free Card' to just throw in at the bottom. I have always used the Storehouse as a Caravan owner at Amble Links but I turned up tonight at 1945hrs to be told that Last Orders were at 1930hrs where does it say this? I haven't got a crystal ball🤷‍♂️. A better standard of communication regarding timings along with other up to date information would be more appreciated and if you're closing earlier than the Closing Time stated, then tell everyone via yr official page! If it's going to be like that throughout the week at this difficult time then amend the Times with a Footnote.Easy Fix. Not impressed.

Very good food had an excellent Chilli with pulled beef. Staff friendly and very accommodating and attentive even though they were busy with football. Covid secure and reasonably priced menu in good location.

Good service and friendly staff, but disappointed with the food. Halloumi not cooked, chicken over cooked and like rubber, burger dry and burnt.

The wife and i were staying in a holiday cottage just down the road from here, and thought it would be rude not to try the place. Glad we did, as the food here was amazing. The wife had chicken linguine, which apparently was absolutely gorgeous. I had Hunters chicken, which a lot of pubs do, but this was easily the best I've had. I had a couple of pints of Mansfield ale as well, and that was a nice pint. Highly recommended place to eat

Food has never been good when I've been and usually not enough staff so can't even have a quick drink ! This place could/should be so much better. Management??

Attached to the caravan park, a lovely, welcoming pub with excellent food, generous portions and tastes great. It's a stone's throw from the dunes too.

Barely acceptable wetherspoons type food, at elevated prices. The 7 quid calamari is better at Iceland, the chicken and bacon baguette burnt with hardly any filling. Never every again will they tame my hard earned cash. Rubbish

Nice welcome, staff were attentive but not overly so. Food was good value for money and would definitely visit again.

Had lovely meal on Saturday night with family food great service great will definitely be having more meals there..

We arrive today sunday 2nd august to be told there was only one meat choice which aas fine due to having a vegetarian option, to then be told no vegetarian options so opted for a din er without any protein. 2 iptions of pie were thenonly other options. THE food was very poor quality, frozen veg and what tasted like smash. My partner and i are not isually fissy however both left considerable amount on our plate due to being in edible. Would not recommend this to other at all

Part of the amble links caravan park, meals are very good now a wide choice and for the kids lounge and bar type seating and dining table seating, kids play area outside.

Friday night steak night...meal was lovely ...staff very attentive and even catered for a slimming world gal with no issue xxx a must try

The old saying... all it takes is a bad manager. I have no idea how she has got this role as she walks round Like a prison officer. Certainly does not make for a relaxing atmosphere. She must have friends In High places!! Other than her the rest of the staff need a medal.

Such a lovely environment to be in, friendly staff but thats where it ends... Were lining someones pocket here and they are laughing all the way to the bank. The food for the price is totally shocking, its knocked together using the cheapest possible ( asda smart price, tescos extra value ) it lacks taste. Id expect to find such food in a run down local boozer on a council estate in salford! Really need to get your act together if your seriving this total **** and expecting people to pay top dollar prices!

Very good lunch on Sunday. The place is roomy, it's very clean. The toilets are very good. The people are the part about it. Superb

Found this pub just outside Amble Harbour and very pleased we popped in for a quick drink. Staff are friendly, the venue is huge and it feels like a big country house with a bar in it. The pub has a decent sized bar, with a pool table as well as multiple TVs, which show sport whenever it is on. There are a couple of nice log fires, which were on the go when I visited. Will be visiting again very soon as the menu is due to change in Feb 2020.

No heating,no music for new years eve,only catered for caravaners,also only one serving behind bar.

Excellent service and great quality food

Had Christmas lunch there. We were greeted by Rachael with a glass of Prosecco and taken to our table. Our Meal was excellent and the portion considering it was a children's was quite large. The staff including Rachael were very attentive. I would recommend the Storehouse to anyone. Well done everyone.

We had our cousin celebration here which was very good they came from Doncaster East Yorkshire. Billington +around Northumberland we would like to do it again BUT 2 of our cousins have died so think will have to wait for a while be fore we do oy again. But meal was very good.

Nice location . Sea just over the links. Building and interior design very good . Steak and stout pie with mash peas and jug of gravy. Very tasty. Would visit again

Service diabolical, food Total disgrace steak and ale pie, the pastry was about 2" thick with hardly any filling once you broke through to it and powdered mash also frozen scampi and chips. Do not eat here.

Was first visit, lovely place in a beautiful coastal location. Would have liked a little more choice on the menu . Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Never expect the coffee to be hot, they are simply incapable of heating the milk up any better than luke warm!! despite asking the member of staff to make it nice and hot.I complained to a different waiter and was met with the response of "I didn't make it" !!! To which I replied "well you have also served me lukewarm coffee before"

Excellent quality food and very friendly efficient service also dog friendly, will definitely be going back again.

Food didn't live up to the delightful surroundings

This is a lovely unique bar/restaurant but it has a great family feel to it. It is unfortunately a little expensive and the food service is slow but worth the wait. The staff are very friendly. On mother’s day my mother was dining with me there and received a rose which lasted many weeks in our caravan at the site.
