Lovely little friendly cafe. Must stop here for Gibbet cake. Fabulous! Nice country area to walk around.

It is called the Impromptu Cafe according to the menu and it is a great place to stop for refreshments. Big pots of tea and a menu with basic but tasty food at good prices and friendly service. It is in a beautiful setting overlooking the village green and church. Very popular with cyclists, it also acts as a tourist information point. There are a few ouside tables and seats. Closed on Thursdays.

Call in here, when visiting our daughter in Harwood forest, and have been meaning to leave a review for ages! It is fabulously welcoming. It really is like sitting in someone's front room, or lovely garden. It is tremendous value, the service is first class and I would highly recommend it!

Fabulously friendly hosts, incredibly cheap prices and beautiful location. Big cycling clientele but everyone welcome. Apparently Victoria Pendleton was a big fan of their gibbet fruit cake!

Coal fire in the grate, muddy dogs and boots allowed in, pot of tea, cheese toastie and gibbet cake served by an emigré from Newcastle, 38 years hence. Lots of local info, cycling memorabilia, quirky in the best possible sense.

My wife and I called in for a pot of tea (we had expected to eat at the local pub, but that has closed). It was a lovely sunny (if windy) day and we sat outside looking over the village green. We had only intended a quick cuppa, but we stayed chatting to the owner and his wife. Although we didn't have anything to eat, the menu (mostly sandwich type food) looked good and good value. Our drinking chocolate and pot of tea came to three pounds and were generous in size. If you in the area and looking for something simple, this is the place, and they have a cycle museum in the café as well!

Played today, Mon 26th August, Great layout, but sadly the greens are diseased and awful, and the tee boxes are terrible, very expensive bar, and no food being served, even though there was a competition on, and the bar was busy, Sadly one to miss in the future.

Visited as a party of 12 for Sunday Lunch. Food was top class with a good choice and very reasonably priced. Great service, would recommend.
