The Old Piggery Cafe At Combermere in Cheshire East

First time visiting here and such a pleasant tea room in a beautiful setting. The young ladies serving were extremely pleasant and polite. The coffee and cakes were excellent. Would definitely return for a lunch next time.

Delicious food and cakes. Had fantastic fish finger sandwich with lots of nice fresh salad . The cakes are all home made and are fantastic … the German style cheesecakes are amazing and the lemon cake also to die for! Lovely place with friendly service and dog friendly.

Went for coffee and cake. Friend had a toasted tea cake and coffee, I had a pot of tea and a toasted cheese and onion sandwich. Lovely food, well presented and great friendly service. I also bought some Christmas cards. Not cheap but not silly prices either. Will definitely be visiting again, no question!!

Great little cafe just out of Nantwich. Went out for a drive for lunch. Had a Croque Madam which was really nice and came with lots of salad. Quite a good brunchy/lunchy menu and includes some German Specialities’. Table service was great, not silly prices, but not dirt cheap either. Very enjoyable, would come back.

Our thanks for lunch today. The food is delicious. Your staff are amazing. But sometimes they forget to supply you with utensils to eat your lunch with. 😀😳⛄️👌 Ps your sausages are scrumptious. 😋. MickH and GPH.

Delicious coffee here and amazing German style cheesecake. Lovely setting and dog friendly. Gorgeous terrace in the summer.

This is a great place for food or just a coffee. Run by a lovely couple and their staff. You can eat there or takeaway. Completely dog friendly inside and their own dogs are often there. We alway visit when staying in the area, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Very good for breakfast lunch and tea and coffee. The piggery breakfast was more than I could eat. Scrumptious. Plus a lovely cake verity. MickH

My husband and I like visiting cafes in the area and like to compare the quality of the Americano. Here it is served as an expresso with separate mini jugs of hot water and hot milk. I absolutely love the idea as I can control the strength and don't end up with watery tasteless rubbish. This is by far the best coffee in the area along with great food and fabulous friendly service, thank you! We are now regular visitors

Popped in for a hot chocolate and had a lovely big slice of blackberry cheesecake too. Lovely spacious surrounding and the girl that served us was so chatty and friendly,a credit to the business. Nice to see an employer that doesn't mind piercings on their staff either. Will be back again soon

I’m not about to go into massive detail as the owners should know what they are doing or not as in this case. The service was appalling. The gammon was full of gristle. We were served our hot drinks 35 mins before our food arrived, needless to say we had finished our drinks and at circa £4 a cup we did not re order. The staff on our first visit were friendly, not so this time, in fact the very opposite. No vegetarian/vegan options. We had to wait 35/45 mins for food No gluten free bread Etc etc etc All in all a total disaster, and an expensive one at that. WE WILL NEVER BOTHER VISITING THIS PLACE AGAIN especially when there are so many other places to eat - goodbye!

Very nice spot for a light bite - the quality of the product is good and the service prompt , and the pricing is fair - sitting out on the terrace in the sunshine today with the Herb Garden and the Poplars blowing in the wind it has a definite French feel about it although the menu is Germanic in its interpretation of the English Breakfast owing to the proprietor who hails from that neck of the woods . I feel they need to advertise themselves there with more prominent road signage if they are going to succeed as they deserve as most of their trade will I imagine be of the passing variety . I reckon offering an ice cream parlour there would also enhance the pull , just a thought -

Met some friends for coffee & decided to stop for lunch. Great menu & excellent service whilst sitting on a sunny terrace. Definitely worth a visit!

Our first visit today was excellent. The staff were really friendly, the food and drinks were really good and the cakes were delicious. We will be back.

Met two friends here, it was the first time for each of us. We agreed we will be back. The pork pies looked good, the sausage crown was very good. Coffee good. Not really vegan friendly. Staff efficient and very friendly

Called in on the spur of the moment, after hearing some pleasant things via word of mouth. And we were not disappointed, service was great and quick the same can said for the food. It's a pity we had somewhere to go as the cake selection looked great. just one little thing is perhaps some more tables... But what a pleasant surprise, cannot weight for a return visit.
