Great old pub we have always promised ourselves a call in and it was a great place ..great atmosphere proper old pub. We loved it. People were very friendly. Obvs we were strangers in the midst but everyone was welcoming and friendly..we will call again

The pub is alright and looks a bit rough from the outside which is probably a natural expectation being West Bromwich but the drink is good and the staff are alright aswell. Good for a quick one if you're going by. Recommended. There is parking on the road but usually full.

Used to drink here regularly. Went back for the first time in a long time. Was made to feel welcome and always a great selection of real ales. Genuinely a fantastic pub with a relaxed vibe. Best kept secret in Carters Green .

Proper pub, with proper beer...

What a friendly place with brilliant atmosphere wonderful night out and great bar staff

I had heard a lot about this place being a great real ale pub, so I thought I'd check it out. I have to say in that aspect, it wasn't all everyone cracks it up to be, the selection was very basic. Bloke behind the bar was friendly enough, so service was great, and it was an ok place to chill out in for a couple of pints.

Good old fashioned pub, price of beer slightly higher than other pubs in the area but you get a good pint in nice surroundings and no music getting blasted out so you can't hear yourself think, friendly gaffer , guest ales, proper local .

This pubs I'd really nice. Its busy enough to be fun yet quite enough to sit and have a chat to your friends. As someone who is quite uncomfortable going to a pub. I really enjoy it here

Traditional pub (the last one in West Brom, or so we were told) with range fire and dark corners to sit in. Nice touches in ladies loos. Friendly service. On our visit limited selection of real ales, all pale. Other than that, great.

It's been a while since I've been to this pub. It has been modernized since then. Great selection of beers and bar snacks. Try their masterpiece ale 10% vol . Only for the men who like strong ale and not to be drank by weaklings who half a pint is enough for them or less.

Good selection of real ales. Does not serve hot food. Land lord is an Albion supporter

Sadly the current owners of around 18 years leave this month, and will be sadly missed. Best beer in West Bromwich, without dowt.

Lovely old fashioned pub with real fire, real ale, real gaffers. Entertainment most weekends from Ska disco to Just Bev. Come in on match day. Great experience.

Nice Boozer Decent Beer But CONSTANT UB-bloody-40 playing was more than i could take. Had to do one and leave. Sorry Old Hop Pole, your (so called) music dropped you a star
