The Old City Arms in Hammersmith and Fulham

We hired the function room for a party and Sascha and his team made it such a smooth process. Everyone was genuinely really lovely and keen to help, it made the whole event really special and enjoyable. Service was quick, food was tasty and the music was loud! Would definitely recommend for a party (and great for a quick pint too :) ).

The Old City Arms at the north end of the poorly Hammersmith Bridge 🌉. Lots of scaffolding! A great little pub doing the Pie minister thing and a pizza thing. A fine range of keg beers and ciders along with London Pride and Greene King IPA from the cask. A good vibe here and a bit of Eurythmics playing in the background. A most enjoyable pint!!!

Walk the Hammersmith Riviera and make sure to stop in at The Old City Arms, foot of Hammersmith Bridge North Bank. True neighborhood pub, very very clean. Had already eaten elsewhere, but if we hadn't, would have had a meal. Instead, had drinks which were cheerfully poured, ample choices. Walk the river trail, then come here!

This is still a good boozer since what change in management. The food isn't my thing, I'd prefer some fresh options, but that's probably not easy to provide. Overall, I'm glad it's not been gutted and remodeled like many pub.

Wonderful sports pub with quite a captive atmosphere. Shout out to Abhijith and Shamil who were rockstars behind the bar. Definitely recommended.

Amazing pub with a lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff. On this occasion I went here with 3 colleagues as we won the X-mas local business raffle. We ordered pies and pints and were really happy with what we received. Also of note is the excellent games collection and 2 for 1 cocktail deal. 10/10 pub and I'm sure we will be back soon! :)

Staff nice enough but kept propping the door open so they could have a fag whilst checking if people were waiting in the bar, letting all the cold air in. Didn’t seem to get the hint when customers repeatedly closed it.

Do not make the mistake I and reportedly many others do of relying on reviews/defunct website expecting a nice Thai meal! Google listing is wrong and as of 5 months ago they only serve average pies and mash. They do not even do desserts which was a shame as I expected us to be able to have a decent meal out. Very disappointing.

It was a great evening at the Old City Arms. The bar staff were helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was gentle and friendly. It felt like the genuine kind of local pub that is sadly dying out these days. And two pool tables was a definite plus.

Wonderful pub! Close-knit village vibes in the iconic Hammersmith bridge area. Come in for good beer, excellent pies, bar games, chat and exceptional service from the team. Katie and George deserve a special mention, they really made us feel at home. The walk from the station is worth it, trust me. Get a Guinness in and enjoy yourself, there's nowhere better in Hammersmith.

I absolutely love this pub. The service and quality of food and drink here is superb. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, cannot fault it. Katie and George are the two best workers. The only thing i would ever suggest changing is extending the opening hours so i could spend more time in my favourite pub!!!

My friends and I were looking for a welcoming pub to get a drink in and get out of the cold and this pub didn’t disappoint! We were served by an amazing person called Katie! She had great knowledge of the gins they served and even suggested a few I hadn’t tried before and i wasn’t disappointed! Thanks for making us all feel welcome Katie!

Really incredible service: a proper classic pub. Really warm and friendly bar staff - shout out to George and Katie in particular, the latter of whom is patient and communicative even when faced with quite the belligerent customer. Genuinely a lovely pub with darts, pools, and a great atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for more in a landscape of franchises. Keep up the good work!!

A very nice pub with a real Lonfon vibe on the banks of Thames. A good selection of beers for all tastes and traditional pies to go with. The lady that served us was very kind and polite. Looking forward to return here when I'll travel again to London.

Visited here on Sunday whilst in the area. The pub is what you'd expect from a traditional British pub, with wooden walls, a fireplace and good quality beers. I ordered The Mothership Pie which was a steak and craft ale pie on a bed of mash potato, minted mushy peas, crispy onions and cheddar cheese on top. My food arrived within 10 minutes, was piping hot and tasty! The rugby was on during my time here with commentary playing so definitely a good place to enjoy a crisp pint, delicious pie and live sport! Would definitely recommend.

Had my birthday party here, booked the pool tables and a few tables around them. The staff were incredible, super helpful and friendly. Great vibes all evening. We were quite a large crowd but still didn't have to wait long for our food and the pizzas and pies were really tasty. Also would recommend their PBnJ shot! Thank you Freda for an amazing night!

Popped in for a quick drink on our way walking towards the river on a very hot Friday evening. What a nice surprise lovely pub, friendly staff and novel menu. We just had to try the pie minister mothership. A real treat definitely recommend. I had the chicken portobello and chestnut mushrooms pie and mark had steak and Stilton. Get the crispy shallots too adds a lovely texture.

Sasha was brilliant and looked after us throughout our visit. Was working nearby and this was our first time to this pub but won’t be our last. Has had a recent refurb and looks lovely. Good drinks selection at reasonable prices.

Lovely old pub, the staff are very friendly and the 2 ales were good and reasonable priced, unfortunately neither the staff or the manager (so I was told) had any control over the loud , so called music, which made it difficult for the staff to hear what I was saying and to get a pint of beer. I spoke to a few of the regulars (one of whom was wearing headphones)

Had a great pizza, pie, beer & red wine - with super service too! It's a little tricky to find with the bridge works - but it's well worth the effort!

New Post (21/08/2023, Post Renovations): What's changed: New staff, new kitchen staff and menu, new beers, more televisions than before, jukebox and music removed. Overall: The renovations as a whole have been negative. Big Issues: They changed everything I mentioned above but failed to fix the leaky ceiling by the pool tables. The new TVs added make the pool table rooms warmer at a faster rate due to no ventilation on that end. The food went from home cooked tasty Thai food, to microwave pie and pizzas. We ordered the blue moo pie, pepperoni pizza, and pork scratchings. The pork scratchings were insanely dry and could chip a tooth. The pizza was the same as a frozen oven pizza from stores, and we think the pie was off because we were ill afterwards. Really Minor / Personal Issues (not affecting the review): My favourite beer (Kronenbourg) was removed. TVs in pool room distract you from the game and make it really warm in there faster. The pool table is very tilted (easily fixable). No more music to chill out to from our last visit. Original Post (Before Renovations): Great pub, atmosphere, and staff. Perfect for sports and has a darts and pool section as well.

We ate here twice during our stay in London. They had some incredible Thai food. The Pad Thai was some of the best I’ve had. I had another dish; I can’t remember the name of it but it was even better! They also had other pub food. My son got fish and chips and said he loved them. The beers were great and everything was reasonably priced.

Great hidden gem for Thai food! We got the platter and a jungle curry, along with a pint and glass of wine, all for under £40. An absolute steal in London! Shoutout for their amazing spring rolls and crab cakes, as well as their very spicy Jungle curry. Would be happy to return

Pleasantly surprised by the Thai food here, which was great! It's not the nicest looking pub inside with quite bright lights and lots of sport on, but the food was great and at £10.50 for a curry with rice, not too pricey. Drinks were very reasonable with a medium wine and pint of lager coming in at under £10. There's a nice cat walking around too.

We have come to this pub for a few times. We were surprised the first time we came because it is a very typical British pub with people watching football and drinking pints but, at the same time, the place serves an amazing Thai food. To be honest one of the best Thai food We have ever tried in London. Also, the vibe of the place is very relax, with a fireplace and an nice cat hanging around. Definitely a place to recommend.
