Superb. My son and I came here for the first time. The food was superb. I enjoyed everything. It is a bit of the beaten track but well worth the detour.

It was very cold the day my sister's/ I went , it's probably better to go in the evening time as the place would have more customers and the heat would be on . 😔

We had just a lovely meal here this evening as a family. My husband and I ordered the steak open ciabatta (fillet) from the specials menu and the steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned exactly right. The children had the pasta and pizza which were great as kids meals. Nice wine list, great atmosphere, and the service cannot be faulted. Friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We’ve not eaten here for a while, not sure why, but will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Love the Oaks for food it is so soo good. Eat way too much. We have dined in and have had a take away. Big parking space plenty of room for wheelchair's and walking frames.

Ah we had high high hopes for this place! We selected this restaurant based on the reviews and we ate there on A Saturday afternoon. Menu was OK. Whilst the service was decent, the food was not good at all. We were so disappointed with the quality of the food but also the flavor. It was lacking and dry. Unfortunately we wouldn't recommend.

Called in on a whim, squeezed a party of 2 adults one child in. Friendly staff even under pressure with Sunday lunches before Christmas. Our table was great for us but a bit isolated to be in eye line to grab attention. One server was fab and sorted us out. Food was lovely. Xmas Dinner, scampi and chips and kids menu all enjoyed and would recommend. No mention of WiFi but kids given a colouring in sheet. No crayons offered thou we had our own. Guinness on tap tasted well and had a good selection of soft drinks also. Straws available for the wee ones. Toilet was a spacious single room for all as in one at a time, clean, soap and other necessities available and a changing station available for infants. We were in the restaurant part so other facilities may have been available. I look forward to having a look about on our next visit 👌

Only give it one star as the staff were so so good and nice! Great service but the food was disgusting and inedible, the colour of that crispy shredded chicken and the taste 🤢🤮 i was so sick from the food. The standard of the food was shocking unfortunely !!:/

Visited 1 September, party of 6 for dinner. We love the food, service and venue. Food is really good especially the curry which is just so tasty, I love it, hence we keep returning.

Lovely family lunch, attentive and friendly staff, great selection of food on the menu. We went on a Sunday so also had the Sunday Roast menu, beef was so plentiful and tasty although I had loads of mash there were only a few vegetables (carrots and swede).

Booked The Oaks for a party of 11 people. We were all squashed into a tiny corner with no space. Only one waiter on. Everyone's food arrived around the same time, except for one person who received hers without so much as an apology 15 minutes after everyone else. We asked several times for more water / drinks for the table, but these never came - We gave up in the end. Compliments to the chef, as the food was lovely, however we won't be back due to the sub-standard service.

Once again a big thanks to the fabulous oaks staff, they deliver first class service every time especially for a party of eleven. The food once again was first class, thanks again everyone. Planning our next visit already

Visited The Oaks on Tuesday evening, had a beautiful meal. I ordered the New Orleans Sandwich which was unreal!! The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They paid special attention to the children in our party. They checked in regularly to see if we had enough drinks and if everything was OK with our food. Would really recommend and will be back

My family of 4 adults and 5 kids ate here midweek. Very surprised at the large choice of dishes for starters , main and desserts, the meal couldn't be faulted in anyway, we had very little waiting time until starters was out and the same with the main. They took kids meals out with starters which was a bonus. My wee man is a fussy eat he got the mini burgers, he declared it the best burgers ever and polished off without me having to tell him to eat up . We had a range of starters from salted chilli chicken to the special which was a curry soup, couldn't fault any of it. I had the burger with cheese and bacon and oh my the juices that oozed from the burger was amazing. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals top marks all round and clean plates. Was not fit for desert which was disappointing as they all sounded amazing. Staff was more than helpful and friendly. All in all couldn't be faulted in anyway and we will definitely be back, highly recommended, well down The Oaks.

I could have got a better burger in the frozen section of tesco, tough and gristly which had a slice of raw bacon on top. No one bothered to ask was our food ok or offered to top up an empty glass. When we finally got approached I explained the issue with my food and showed the waitress (older lady with short blonde hair) my raw bacon and she said she will show the chef. She never came back to so much as apologize. I asked her for the bill and still no mention of the disgraceful food I received. They charged me for a full portion of green veg when my partner asked to swap mushrooms and peas from his dish to a few green vegetables, this would be fine if it was stated. Also I asked for garlic chips they came covered in herbs (I didn’t ask for this and it never stated garlic and herb) they were also undercooked. I will NEVER return and it’s not down to just the chef for not being able to cook chips it’s down to the lack of service and missing apology. Terrible terrible !

Just returned from The Oaks after having a great meal. We hadn't booked but they were still able to fit us in the bar. Our server was friendly and helpful and was able to get the carbonara and quesidila meat dishes changed to veggie for my son and his partner. We all enjoyed our meals, my steak, in particular, was cooked perfectly to my liking. Good choice of beers, I enjoyed the Red Ale. Will definitely return when in the area.

Had dinner here last night. Very very impressed with the Covid protection proceedures implemented here. Temperature checks on arrival, tables well protected with screens, Staff wearing masks and visors, sanitised seats and tables very thoroughly...felt very safe here. Well done to all the management and staff. I would also like to add that the food was also really good. So 5 stars for everything. We will definitely be back soon.

Food is totally disgusting. Over cooked duck, noodle dish with no noodles just rubber vegetables and dish water sauce. I’m actually lost for words to describe how bad this place is for food. New chef they said despite charging me full price. Chef more like a McDonalds cook and that’s being an insult to McDonalds. Avoid

Perfection, I was here a week ago with my mum my baby and an uncle, the service was extremely good, a nice welcoming homely feel. Crayons paper handed to us as soon as we arrived to entertain my little girl. Everyone had praise for their dishes, I had the Madras and it must have been the best I've had, and I order Madras everywhere and I mean everywhere I go 🙈 top class keep it up!

Service was fine. Food bland. Had to keep coat on was cold inside. Would not return. Needs updating especially menu.

We visited the oaks again on Saturday and brought friends with us as we enjoyed it so much the last time. The place is beautiful and the staff are so helpful and friendly and were always up for a chat. There were 6 of us and it was very busy but we decided we wanted food and the waiting staff were very good and made sure we got a table even though we hadn’t booked. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced for the portion sizes. We stayed on in the bar all night and enjoyed the music. Great spot! Will definitely be back!

Went to the oaks for food on Sunday. Couldn’t be happier. The staff could not do enough for us all. So pleasant and my little baby boy was besotted with the lovely waitress who made him smile and feel comfortable in the environment, as he can be strange at times. Of course as it was Sunday four of us had turkey and ham and wow it was beautiful. Best we’ve had in a long time. Lovely place and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the oaks. Pub of the year was well deserved!! Thanks so much.

Went for Sunday Lunch. The Roast Beef special was priced at £10.95. One of the party asked for no veg but an extra potato instead, another asked for champ. When we got home and checked our receipt we had been charged £12.95 for the special, and £3.95 for the potato and 50p for the champ. We were not made aware that we would be charged for the potato or that the champ was extra. We immediately telephoned and spoke to a pleasant young man, who i asked how the Roast Beef special was and he confirmed it was £10.95, I then explained i had been overcharged for the special and the potato. He told me to come down and i would a refund.However when I called later that evening, the price on the specials had been changed to £12.95 and was advised that the potato would always be extra. i explained that the special was £10.95 earlier and was told they had made a mistake and had to reprint the special. I pointed out that was their mistake and not the customers. A nice young lad went and got me the difference for the specials but the girl refused to refund the potato. The attitude of the female staff member was very unapologetic, made me feel I was in the wrong.This wouldn't have been as bad if the meal had been good and stayed warm, but the meal was just average.They need to explain all charges to their customers at point of order and check their prices are correct.All in all we were very disappointed as we have eaten in this restaurant many times.DICK TURPIN WORE A MASK

We had a family meal in here a few weeks ago and the food was nice (nothing special) but the service was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much for them.The place is beautiful and nicely decorated and had a great ambience to it.The food lets it down a bit - there was nothing wrong with it but it was quite average. Would go back again.

I have been a regular in the oake for the last 4 years, always very good staff, food was always good, until about 3 weeks ago. Chicken carbonata thr chicken was tough and hard very dry, so left it but finished the rest of thr dish, complained to the server, bill arrived and was charged the full price, no one from the kitchen came to speak to me about the complaint, insisted that i pay the full price ( I did not )..So i left. sent a facebook message later that night. Never got any reply....So ,uch for Pub of the year...

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Killarney Oaks Hotel. Room was quiet, just what I asked for. In the Acorn Bar, I had the steak sandwich for dinner (great portion size!) even though we ordered at 8.55 and we had been told at check-in that last orders were at 9pm and there was a lovely atmosphere there and in the lobby area for drinks. Breakfast.

Regularly take the family here for meals. Steak is perfect every time and there is something for everyone on the menu. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit 👍👍👍

I went with my sister and daughter last week , I ordered the chowder and my sister ordered a curried chicken wrap (which I tasted!),we were both pleased with the flavour and the portion size(especially my chowder!),my little one doesn't eat much so she just nibbled on our food..the service is very friendly to boot and the rural setting gives it a homely feel so top marks👍🙂

This is our favourite restaurant near home, exceptional food, live music, friendly people and amazing staff.

Omg what a hidden gem, driving pass we decided to give it a go. We were glad we did. Interior of the restaurant was beautiful. My husband and I both had the salted chilli chicken for starter it was really nice. We both then went for the steak and I can honestly say it was the nicest steak we can in a long time. We didn’t have room for dessert which was disappointing as the menu looked really nice. We are already planning our next visit

We called in for a drink and a bite to eat...unfortunately our food was just awful...considering it wasn't busy I don't think the chefs were under pressure, mine was so bad I left it..bacon and brie salad full of leaves , no dressing , undercooked fatty bacon, weird small cubes of brie about six pieces...no flavour at all, ......my partners sandwich was so poor , dry, without mayo or other sauce , a bit of 'salad on plate no dressing either , he ate it as he doesn't like complaining! Disgrace!

We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday. The restaurant has an extensive menu available for a small countryside venue. The food was first class and definitely well worth value for money. The staff were most welcoming, very helpful, friendly and personable. I would recommend The Oaks for a meal and I will be back again.

Had our daughters holy communion here today 11.05.19. Both staff and food where amazing. Staff could not do enough for you, and our daughter was given a beautiful rag-doll dressed in holy communion dress, such a beautiful thoughtful gift. Thanks again. We will definitely return.

Took my mother out for dinner with my family. We ate in “the loft” restaurant, it’s such a lovely place. Such nice details to the decorating with a lot of history on the walls. My meal was beautiful, I had cream of vegetable soup to start, the 8oz steak as a main and apple crumble for dessert. Delicious! (reasonably priced too) although they were very busy, the service was very good, the waitress was a very friendly young lady and she made my mother feel very special. After our meal all the mothers at the table were given adorable little bunches of daffodils. Will be back! Well done!
