My wife and have just had Sunday lunch here and it was the best Sunday lunch that either of us have ever had. It was absolutely delicious and perfect. Also, the fact that dogs are no longer allowed into this establishment, is a huge improvement. We will definitely be back. Soon!

Was looking to try out a different venue for Sunday lunch and I heard The Nines advertised on Cool FM and decided to visit. We drove from Londonderry and I have to say we were not disappointed. My partner and mother got the beef and they said it was exceptional the nicest Sunday lunch they ever had. I had the salmon which was also lovely although I didn’t know it came on a creamy base I guess I should have read the menu closer, I just assumed I was getting it served with roasties, veg etc which I probably could have got if I had asked. The staff were really lovely and friendly and very helpful. The starter of soup was unreal. A large bowl with toasted sourdough bread absolutely gorgeous! The desserts, I would’ve liked there to be more choice, however we went for cheesecake and chocolate shell and were both very nice although we would have preferred served with ice cream rather than sorbet. We will definitely recommend and return again.

Party of 26 went for dinner on 23rd July and the restaurant was already full and only 2 serving staff and 1 bar staff on duty. Instantly I had concerns. However, those 2 girls worked so hard and they were attentive, pleasant and did not convey the stress that I'm sure they were under. The food was absolutely fabulous and we will definitely be returning especially because of the exceptional service we received by Beth, Olivia and Leah.

First visit here. Nice service and one of our party felt the soup too spicy and asked for some cream or yogurt to add to it. Instead they made a totally new bowl with something in it and no extra charge!!! My chicken caesar salad very nice but my husband wasn't impressed with just two sausages for his sausage and mash. The fish dish went down well. The desert, one between four was delicious

I am seriously disappointed in this place. Me and 6 friends booked in for a night away and it was a nightmare. Arriving to check in at 4:30pm to be met with “we’ve lost your room key” which meant we had to wait another half an hour on the key being located, no information about breakfast times, wifi, time of check out, code to get back into the hotel that night. Both of our family rooms were freezing, got a member of staff to turn on the heating. Which made little to no difference as the radiator was lukewarm. Water wasn’t warm for a shower. The room was covered in stained surfaces. A random sock was under the sink in the bathroom. Cobwebs everywhere. Doors only had a safety latch on the inside no actual lock. Rubbish from previous guests in the drawers. What looks like mold under the window. Walls are cracked to the ceiling Dust on everything, blinds, coasters and lights. Service for dinner was extremely slow and only the waitress with the red hair being so kind and rushing about trying to look after all guests, staffing levels need improved as it was difficult to get someone’s attention to even pay the bill! Me and my work colleagues were so looking forward to this break away (paying nearly £400) this is miles below satisfactory and it was beyond anticlimactic, we would say this was more of a hostel than a hotel. I have attached images hoping management can resolve these issues and no other guest has an experience in anyway similar to ours

I've been asked to expand on my review "Once is enough" with 2 stars. A group of us thought we'd try the 'rebranded' establishment and popped in to ask if we could sit as a group. The response from staff was indifferent and 'cool'. It was late morning but we were told the kitchen was closed, so much for the "Early doors" menu! When my wife and I decided to leave and settle our bill we had to wait for an unreasonable length of time while staff busied themselves doing 'stuff'. Hence my original review "Once is enough".

Visited for Sunday roast with my wife. The food was excellent, really good quality. I had the pork belly to start and the Mrs had the tiger prawn tempura - for the mains I had the beef (cooked rare) and my wife had the lamb. It really was good quality food and the service wasn’t bad as such, but it was a bit slow. Mind you the poor girl who was serving us seemed to be running around a lot so perhaps just understaffed, worth paying the extra wages for another waitress / waiter to ensure smoother and faster service in my opinion. It was 45 minutes from the time we sat down to when we were served our starter to put it into context. So not awful but also why I have given 4 instead of 5 stars! Took a while to pay as well had to go up to bar and wait by till for 10 minutes before we paid. Would definitely come back though as overall experience was good and we did enjoy the food a lot!

I had such a lovely time at the nines such nice staff and lovely food, unfortunately my visit was cut short due to a personal problem in the bathroom involving my socks but I realise that's nothing to do with this lovely establishment, I think it was to do with the stress of owning a small model train company as in the past this sort of thing has left me with a funny tummy.

Stopped here for breakfast as our son and daughter in law recommended it. It was a Thursday morning so there wasn't many tables being used but the food made up for the atmosphere. I had Eggs Benny as they call it as that's my 'go to' breakfast meal to check how good a place is and it was superb. My wife had the fry. Nothing was swimming in oil and both the black pudding and white pudding were fabulous. The tea was lovely too. The staff however weren't very friendly and I had to wait 5 minutes for someone to realize I wanted to pay the bill and then it was all matter of fact and goodbye. Don't let that put you off nor the scaffolding that surrounds the building this is a place that deserves to succeed, if only someone would tell the staff.

Main course chicken schnitzel served with a slice of cabbage, fish dish was nice batter not great main item on plate was sweet snap peas, Garlic Fries at the bottom of the serving bucket they came in, was salty butter not melted showes how hot the chip were. Went in with some friends for drinks on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't overly busy as nobody else was being served ahead of us and no manu sitting inside. We stood at the bar for over 20 minutes while one member of staff was making cocktails, one member of staff was slowly crushing ice with a muddler (invest in an ice machine if you're supposed to be a cocktail bar) and some of form of supervisor was walking about polishing glasses. No much as a hello or we'll be with you in a minute, while we patiently waited to be served. We were eventually spoken to by a waiter staff who asked us to move out of the way of the bar. There were no signs where we were standing to say we couldn't stand there and the bar staff who were right in front of us hadn't asked us to move. We didn't wait around much longer after this, atrocious customer service and won't be back anytime soon.

Brunch and lunch served 12-5 and menu us pretty good. Food took about 10 or 15mins to arrive and it was great. I would recommend it. All wwll presented and the kids meals were a decent size too. Lovely place inside, got off to a good start. We ordered cocktails to start and then our food and a bottle of red to come out with the food. All ok, ordered nice and quick. I think the waitresses may have been swapping over but once that happened it all went downhill. We had finished our food and were yet to get our wine so eventually I got the attention of the waitress who seemed to be mainly giving all her attention to a big group table beside us. We mentioned the wine not coming out and which wine it was and it was brought over. Fast forward 30 mins, group beside us had all their desserts and we had not even been asked if we would like to see the dessert menu?? Anyway we enjoyed our wine, bottle was nearing the end and we were last 2 in the restaurant. The waitress came over and said heres your wee bill...didnt ask if we would like anything else or if we had a good evening and of course then we would have asked for our bill but to me it was just a 'please leave we are closing'. Got our bill and there were 2 bottles of wine on it, one of which was twice the price of the one we actually ordered and drank. The waitress took the bill over to I am assuming a manager who then went to the barman in no discreet way asking if he had infact served out the expensive bottle of wine to which he said no. The bill was rectified and an apology was given but I'm sorry I won't be back. You're paying more money for these places for food which is just ok and rubbish service. Maybe it was just a bad night? The other reviews seem great.

Booked a table for 8 at short notice for lunch today, and found the ambiance lovely, quite buzzy and the staff greeted us warmly. Service throughout was attentive but in no way invasive. We loved the menu - enough to interest the foodies, but staples too for the more conservative eaters, along with a good variety for the kids on a menu that made them and us giggle. I hate over-long menus - this hit it just right. I went for Ranchers eggs (poached instead of fried), and it was the nicest meal I have eaten for nearly a year. Full of flavour, but with a clarity and light touch that is very hard to find - it tasted exceptionally fresh and zingy, and despite my very small appetite I ate more than I thought possible, and others enjoyed a taste too. My friends loved their meals (burrata and tomatoes, and an incredible chicken and egg dish), as did the kids, the only slight complaint was that my hubby would have loved a slightly bigger portion of his delicious tempura cod, but to be fair I think it was a reasonable portion for lunch. My huge regret is the location - far too far from my house 🤣 Without doubt we will be back, I would choose to visit Bangor simply to eat here again. Well done The Nines, you knocked it right out of the park!
