Came for a family birthday meal on Monday as a table of 17! We were served by kieran who was super attentive and super lovely the whole time. The food was soo good also, I had the bbq chicken pizza. We’ve come here a few times now for family meals and have always left happy. Thankyou kieran for being so genuine and smiley, we had a great time. Be back soon :))

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, good food and friendly staff, especially the waiter who engaged with our 1 year old grandson, and found him a baby spoon as we had forgotten ours.

Lovely food and good portion sizes for adult and kids meals. The whole table enjoyed what they had. Looks nice inside, clean and tidy. Staff are friendly. Small park for the kids to play. Slightly pricey

We had an excellent family meal for 7 on a Sunday afternoon, made even better by our excellent server Kieran who couldn’t have done enough for us. The food was really tasty, the live music was a lovely touch and the kids playground is fab. Will be back. Give Kieran a raise!

Four of us went to The New Queen Inn for Sunday lunch today. The food and service was exceptional. Kiran was a stand out from a service POV. He was attentive and engaging. We will definitely return.

Really good first impressions, the place looks nice and the live band is a nice touch. Unfortunately it is let down by staff that really don’t care about the business... Brought food without asking if we wanted sauces, couldn’t remember orders and didn’t write it down, brought deserts without utensils. In fact, we didn’t get any service unless we flagged them down, they overcharged us on the bill and we waited so long to pay we had to go up to the bar as a party of 8 to pay instead. Plus you pay a set service charge for the privilege. Real shame as first impressions and food are really good 😔

We are local to ringwood and this is the only place where we can take our 6yr old daughter who is ceoliac and b3 satified that they know what they are doing, they offer gluten free options and chips that are safely cooked in a dedicated fryer, she has the burger which comes in a really good gluten free bun which is very rare! All the staff are good but the front of house manager(I don't know his actual job tital apologies) is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, he is good with kids and enthusiastic, and most importantly for us very keen to help with allergies. It's should be the case with all managers but sadly it isn't often the case so good for him. Thanks to the chef and kitchen crew too for knowing hownto deal with allergies. Great beer garden with nature reserve views and a sunset. Thank you

Found this pub by chance and what a nice pub it is too. Bar snacks were delicious, but the Sunday roast looked good as well.

As soon as we went in we could smell an awful smell of unwashed carpets or floors!!! When the manager isn't there, the staff talk to each other, totally ignoring customers, and even when they do manage to serve you, they still talk about their night out!!! How rude!!! We ve been many times, but won't go back, as they can't even get a pizza right!!!

This pub is perfect, inside and out, staff are super friendly. Food was outstanding, wait time on the food was impressive, even on a Sunday and extremely generous portion sizes. Ontop of all this very dog friendly throughout the pub, not just the bar.

Haven’t been the New Queen for a while but the last time the food and service were excellent. Went in today for lunch and won’t be going back. After waiting at the empty bar to get served the surly barman gave me a bottle and glass, charged me almost double for it and wandered off without pouring my other drink. A barmaid eventually poured the other drink and while I was waiting realised I’d been overcharged almost double. When the barman returned I asked him to check and he’d charged one of the drinks twice. Not a problem but no word of apology and was offered a cash refund from the till. No thanks I paid with a card and want a refund on the card which seemed the most difficult thing to do so had to find the manager. Still no word of apology so finished our drinks and left. Won’t be going back.

Such a lovely place. Food was first class, so tasty. Dietary requirement no problem for them. Great service.

Lovely pub, done out nicely. We really enjoyed our food. Good menu choice, not cheap but good quality food, so worth it. Pleasant staff, had time for a chat with us (lunchtime on a Thursday). Only reason I put 4* for atmosphere is it was fairly quiet being a lunchtime, I'm sure it gets more lively. Can't tell you about toilets as we didn't use them.

Given reviews meal was very underwhelming. Thai curry was ok but disappointing number of prawns... 5 for £5 added to initial cost. Prawn crackers soggy as dropped into sauce. Sticky toffee pudding very average as sponge was plain and had little taste.

Lovely place but seemed to attract a more mature crowd, although there were some young families in the garden. Staff were friendly enough but alot of the older customers seemed very snobby. Lovely place, if u sit in the garden. Not your usual pub grub either. Definitely a gastro pub. Just telling it as I see it, not meaning to offend anyone, just giving an honest review to future customers

The sandwich menu was fab for a light lunch - large outdoor seating area as well.

A wonderful find. Plenty of seating both inside and out. Food delicious and well priced. Our 'go to' if in the area.

Met friends here for lunch and a pleasant chinwag. Was sceptical about a pub menu but when I arrived I went in for a small beer. The smell of the meals that people were eating was simply delightful. Changed my mind and ordered a vegan meal with mushroom pie and butternut squash and, for me, it was out of this world and I am not a vegan Thoroughly recommend this meal and I'm sure other meals were also delightful. Oh, and the New Forest bitter was simply nectar. Started of with a half, as a driver, but couldn't resist a second half with the food.

Lovely pub, nice range of food and drinks. Proper country by-the-river summer sun gorgeousness. Clean and well kept toilets. Inside, outside and gazebo seating for showery days. Cannot fault the building or location. Only downside was the mud at the entrance to the kids play area. A fantastic play area with an amazing climbing frame and multiple sections to explore. Nice high safe fence for toddler enclosure! But the muddy bog at the entrance did end in disaster for us (full back, arms, butt and legs starfish splat) so please fill the hole! Gravel will do, and it's free draining! Other than that small issue, I highly recommend this pub.

Amazing staff, great quality food that has good portion sizes for a good price.

A very cozy place with wonderful meat and seafood dishes. Also a treat: the sticky toffee pudding with custard! Great service. I would come back anytime.

Can't beat this place, so nice , staff so accomodating and friendly. Food is good place is nice really cannot speak highly enough on all aspects. We are moving house 80 miles to be closer to it. Its true but not the total reason. Haha

When we arrived I asked for a beer but was told they would bring it to the table. The waitress then asked if we wanted drinks, so we both ordered a brink. My wife’s drink arrived, but no sign of any beer, we had now been seated for 15 minutes. On my way to the toilet I asked the bartender if there was any chance of a beer arriving any time soon. No apology, she said I’ll bring g one over, to be honest it had arrived when I got back to the table. Our order was taken in an efficient manor, but not asked about food allergies. Our prawn cocktails were disappointing, mostly lettuce and a few tiny prawns. When you order dinner and are charges 10% service charge the waiting staff should ask if you would like any sauces or condiments before they bring your main course. The main course was better than average. The staff did not ask back to see if we were happy with the food and took a dr in is order. Was sat chatting while the other diners left. We were asked if we wanted anything else, as we didn’t the bill appeared. I do believe if you charge 10% service charge you should have friendly, well trained and polite staff.

We had a company event here at the weekend and it was amazing from start to finish! The New Queen were extremely accommodating from the very beginning, the food was gorgeous and the service was excellent! We will be back - thank you!

A summer favourite cosy in winter

Visited for Sunday Lunch. It was packed. Late lunchtime there was a singer performing all the great disco/soul music hits in the bar area. He was really good. The service was good, too. The manager was welcoming as was our waitress who was meticulous about our order. However, the food was mixed in quality. The mussels starter was tasty but the mussels were minute. The prawn cocktail was good, as was the soup. The Goats Cheese and Sundried Tomato Tartlet was tasty but small. Obviously bought-in pastry cases, a bit of red onion chutney, a couple of sun-dried tomatoes and a few cubes of warmed up goats cheese. Unremarkable. The Roast Beef was very fatty and the roast potatoes were awful - reheated? - and only three small ones. Anyone will tell you, the roast potatoes are the mainstay, and if they're not right, then it spoils the meal. Generous serving of vegetables, but they were rather tasteless, especially the red cabbage. The wild mushroom tagliorini - or something like that - was delicious and plentiful. The Iced Chocolate and Honeycomb sweet was a bit of a let-down. It was difficult to slice into as it was very hard and the honeycomb piece was rock hard. I had to check if my fillings had not come out! A sliver of chocolate melted fast. A shame as the sweet was quite tasty and well-presented. A very mixed bag.

Couldn't fault it. Everything was perfect. The glasses sparkled, the wine was lovely. The food delicious, generous portions, quickly served by friendly staff. The dining area was clean, perfectly lit, efficiently run. The loos were clean and nicely decorated. We look forward to xoming again. What a find!

We had not been for a few years, and on the way back from drinks in Ringwood, we thought we would stop by and ask for a table for 2. The Car Park was virtually full, so really didn’t think we would be able to have a table. Greeted by Kamil, and a table was no problem. The atmosphere was so pleasant and relaxed, and Kamil was so attentive from the moment we were seated. We both ordered Scallops starter which were perfect. Main Course, David ordered the Beef Burger, and I ordered the Beer Battered Haddock and Chips. The Beef Burger presented was huge and just oozing with cheese and bacon, I did taste it, and I loved it, great beef. My Haddock was huge, white in colour, and good, the Batter was glistening and crispy, the chips were perfect, and plenty of Mayo ! Dessert we shared the Apple Raisin Crumble, we asked for a small jug of pouring cream and custard with it, the desert was fabulous!! First visit in many years. Booked online. Starter we shared of Whitebait good portion for £7. Asked for a small roast for my mum, which was plenty for her. I ate some of her vegetables. I had the sea bass £18 and a side of cauliflower cheese. Not much room for dessert, which are mostly £7.50.

Excellent food and service. Nice to see the staff smiling and engaging with customers. Nice touch the live music and singer.

In summer they do live music on the outside decking. Don't miss it.

My parents came up for lunch today with me at the new queen,,, It’s a spacious,,,clean,, calm pub,,,, which is great as my dad has dementia,,,, The staff are great,,,,easy going and no real pressure to order after I explained that with my dad it’s going to be a slow process yo get him comfortable let alone order,,, I had to write a review as the food we had off the menu,,, and the specials board was lovely,,,,,, we decided to have a main and a dessert instead of a starter,,,,and I’m glad we did as the portions were really good and we Did struggled to clear the plates,, So overall,,, a really great couple of hours having lunch and I hope they continue to have a buzy start to the year,,,,,, many thanks,,Stuart

Good quality food, the roast pork was delicious and crispy roasties 😋 I would also reccomended the sharing dishes they were equally tasty.

Great place for a lazy lunch and took full advantage of the available bar snack menu. 3 dishes for £18 is good value and the perfect portion sizes.

Went for lunch with family, 8 members including my two grand kids on 3rd of December 2023 at a cost of £240. Most enjoyed the meal, but I had the pork roast only to find it was very thin slices of pork and not real roast. At £20 a roast to find it wasn't roast pork at all was very disappointing and I didn't finish the meal. Sorry, won't be back.

Sauces with the Hake, and with the Chicken Supreme, were very nice, and plenty of it.

A very good gammon steak meal by a cosy fire with friends.

It was lovely to be able to have a meal with our two greyhounds and have a table in a corner where the hounds could lay down and spread without getting in anybody's way.

One of my favourite pubs, any time of the year. It’s especially cosy around this time though, and the venison with wild mushrooms and fried squash was one of those meals I wish would never end.

A pleasant pub with attentive staff. The problem is with all UK eateries they’re all so terribly overpriced for what you get. Trust me I’ve worked and lived all over the world, 133 countries, and UK is the rip-off capital of the world. People oft quote Venice as expensive and compared with the rest of Italy it is but it’s cheaper than the UK! The Brits have no idea how to complain. Complain by not paying the prices. Things will soon change!

Great Sunday Roast. Really great value. Potions were great and quality was amazing. Highly recommend.

Roast Chicken was called Chicken supreme, so some people didn't have it and were disappointed and those who did have were also disappointed. The sweets ordered by our table said poached rhubarb, which came up uncooked and on complaining we got some more but that also was almost raw. We were asked if we want a different sweet which we had and we're not charged for. All our complaints were acted upon so cannot fault the service.

Took the whole family, so table for seven people. The food was excellent and the service was great.

Has been nicely refurbished only popped in for a drink on the way back from ringwood. Very busy in the restaurant for a Saturday lunch time. Large car park and good selection of beers etc. With a visit if you're in the area.

Great place. Lovely staff. Food disappointing and mine was only just warm. Then when came back plate was so hot but food still wasn't overly hot.

This was a 5 star pace for having a lovely outdoor evening meal,with cows grazing right behind the fence. Great children's play area, too!

Great hidden gem, popped in on a Friday evening on the way home from Devon, staff were accommodating and fitting us in when 2 other places were too busy. Food was excellent and plenty of good beers to choose from, will definitely be returning!

Last night I visited the New Queen for the first time in a number of years. with a group of neigbours for a birthday meal. Sadly, we ware extremely disappointed with the quality of food for the cost, with normal items, added as an addition to the price. We were embarrassed for several of our group, on the amount that they needed to pay, for the quality and quantity of food served. We didn’t send back meals, again due to it being someone’s birthday, and not wishing to embarrass the hosts. The star rating would have been lower, however, the lady who severed us wwas really good and attentive.
