Amazing food paired with excellent service! I can't wait for the restaurant to reopen, but until then, I'll keep picking up our orders. The Horseshoe mixed grill is a must-try!

Busy Pub/restaurant. Best Indian food. Everything cooked fresh to order. Hard working , friendly staff especially Ash who is very helpful and obliging. Top dishes that I recommend are Chicken Jalfrezi and chicken Tikka and naan! Brilliant!

The food is truly outstanding; I can't find anything to complain about. I've been here multiple times and have never had a poor meal. The staff are fantastic extremely friendly and very accommodating.

I’ve visited and eaten in here many times and I’ve never been disappointed. I have just had a taken away that arrived very quickly and it was absolutely awful. The regular mixed grill was very very small and full of red colouring and did not taste good, such a rip off for £16. The butter chicken was luminous red and basically looked and tasted like tomato soup in frozen chicken defrosted, again awful, awful awful. I’m so disappointed and felt I’d been ripped off. I just don’t understand why eating in, the food is so different, although I have not been for the past year. I will go in and eat here again and see if they have gone down hill. I will never ever order take away from here again. IMO Khushi grill is best in Cov for eat in and take away. Hot shoe eat in is good, takeaway bad!

Spent £38 on a takeaway from here and I had 40% off. The food was absolutely awful. Butter chicken tasted off and was bright red in colour. The chips were so dry and stale, the mint yogurt was curdled and paneer pizza tasted like feta cheese was just inedible. I am gutted as the menu looked lovely and I'm not one to moan normally but this was just a waste if money.

I’ve visited this place many times and I’m always pleased! I highly recommend the butter chicken, chili chicken, masala chips, and, of course, the mixed grill! The prices are fair, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely.

I recently celebrated my birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the service was delightful. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning.

I stopped by with my friends on Saturday night and enjoyed a fantastic atmosphere. The grill was incredible! I recommend getting the large grill it’s amazing!

I ordered a chicken tikka masala but I got a bright red sauce which is very different to the chicken tikka masala I know. I lost my appetite looking at it and the taste is just not the same. I did call the restaurant to find out if I got a wrong order but the staff told me that the restaurant has been making their own like that for over 5 years now. Maybe other customers may love this new recipe but unfortunately I didn't.

The food is no good! It just tastes like a senseless mixture of spices that doesn’t really create any good flavour in the mouth. I’ve had lamb biryani from here before and it just tastes like curry powder and not much else. I like spicy food but this food is not even a good flavour of spice. I recently ordered lamb bhuna which tastes like chilli powder and does not have any original bhuna flavour. Too much food colouring as well. To make this worse. My delivery took ages to get to me and the food was even worse tasting because it was cold. My nan was soggy and wet so disgusting to be honest. Very disappointing!! 🚮 Would not recommend at all!

This place is a golden gem of a find! Arrived just before 6pm, the atmosphere was relaxed. When entering you can sit where you like, you walk up to order your food in one area and drinks in another. The speed of service is also great. The flavours were beautiful and nicely seasoned. I highly recommend this place.

I visited for the first time this evening, and the food was exceptional—flavorful, delicious, and generous portion sizes. The staff was attentive, helpful, and polite. The atmosphere was wonderful, and I truly enjoyed my experience. It was great value, too!

The fish pakora appetizer was fresh and expertly prepared. Paired with a tangy dipping sauce, it was a fantastic start to the meal that truly whetted my appetite for what was to come!

Gave me and my boyfriend food poisoning! I am 100% certain it was the food from here as we hadn’t ate anything prior that day and the sickness started 4-6 hours after eating, food hygiene needs to be checked. Most probably temps of meat aren’t being checked properly after cooking! A shame too as we regularly ordered food here and had no issues before. Please be vigilant.

Honestly the best chicken tikka, pilau rice and chips I've had in Coventry I ordered tonight and was blown away how nice it was

Ordered for delivery. Called and requested no onions and was told that it was no problem. When delivered it was full of onions. Chefs said they did cook it without onions. I called and asked if I drove to them with it would they replace and they refused. Clearly by the picture you can see there's onion in it

The takeaway this time tasted different to previous orders that we've had. The chicken curry and dal makhani weren't as good. Some of the chicken tikka pieces in the Horseshoe grill tasted raw so threw them in the bin. Called today to ask if there's been a change of chef and to also say that the chicken was raw. The person that I spoke to didn't seem bothered. He said that there hasn't been a change of chef and that it was really busy yesterday evening. Raw chicken can cause food poisoning so I'm not impressed with their lack of accountability.

Me and my family went for a curry on a Tuesday night. The food was extremely tasty, I had a chicken curry and the staff had asked how spicy I wanted it. The staff were approachable and friendly, particularly Calum who couldn’t do enough for us. The atmosphere was light and perfect for a family meal. Will definitely be returning to the new horseshoe. Great beer too!

Nice mixed grill, ordered the Horseshoe Mixed Grill which was very tast, enough to feed three adults. Prices are ok as well. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, but I would say Kushi Grill is a slightly better choice

I’m really not one to ever write reviews, but the food was so bad. This is honestly the worst food I’ve ever ordered. The Rogan Josh was literally tomato puree with a load of spices chucked in with over cooked chicken. The naan bread was so odd and soggy, tasted like it was old and been microwaved. The samosas were over cooked. Took a few bites and then all went straight in the bin.

Pretty bad! Specifically asked for no ghee in the food as I hate the taste. Was told they can use dairy free. Once again mentioned if they can use oil and not ghee and was told that there was no problem. All the food has been left so all 4 of us ended up eaten just naan and salad after tasting the food. What made it worse was that no one even came over to ask if everything was ok and when eventually this was brought up was given a simple ‘oh’ and they never came back to me. Similar thing happened at the hungry elephant and straight away the guy was apologetic and changed the food. At the Horseshoe, not even get an acknowledgment. Bad example of Indian food and hospitality. Will not return.

Try this as it was recommended, food was good and so was the service ,it was quite busy with a few Christmas parties goin on ,but still got our food in a good time ,prices were very good too ,but it was like bein in a hall with tables ,the food order is a hatch at the back leading on to the kitchen, just think it needs a bit more work on the actual room ,other than that nice meal out .

Ordered a delivered takeaway mixed grill, keema naan, chicken biriyani. Quite disappointing to see no salad. Most other Pubs supply this. The food was very oily. The Keema naan, was flavourless, and greasy. But it was a mass of meat! It was so much mass, you could not fold it to make a scoop for your food! The mixed grill was a bit cheap in variety, as they bulked it up with fried onions, and reduced the meat to what you would get if you ate in the pub. (I have ate many times in the pub) Also the cuts of lamb were loaded with fat, and the lamb kebabs were very fatty. Normal lamb varies between 5 and 20% fat. This was probably in the region of 30%. Heart attack material. The marinate was very mild in flavour. So mild, I would say it was aimed for a non-asian customer. Problem is if you go into any of their pubs, they are 70% or more populated with Indian customers! Charges? Well I have ate in most places the Midlands, and the charges were not competitive to other places....especially where the food and flavour content was much, much greater! I think they need to train or replace the chef, and re-evaluate their business....For a simple order, they flopped, not failed! Me and my wife, went to a fish and chips shop, and ate that instead. Very poor food from this place. Keep Away

First time and thought me and my friend try it out. Very bad customer service and plus we had a member of the lease business owner family person joining us and making us uncomfortable. My lamb curry was very spicy and I told them but they just said if you don't like it you know were the door is. Iv got it recorded on my phone. Voice recorded. Its not a nice place to eat when you a paying customer.

First visit tonight. Cheese naan is fantastic, should have had two. Rogan Josh spicier than expected but butter chicken was perfect. Huge car park. Staff are on top of everything and the on tap drinks are great. Huge seating area for large parties. Totally recommended.

Lamb madras was very good however the masala chips were shocking :( ordered takeaway and they arrived with hardly any flavouring/masala, almost plain with a couple of onions thrown in. Would defo return for the curry but not the chips.

Have eaten here a few times and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. An old pub repurposed as an Indian bar and grill. Clean and modern inside with a good range of dishes on the menu and a good choice of drinks at the bar. The sizzling Indian mixed grills are great as a starter to share. The curries, naans and rice are excellent too.

Solid little curry house/ grill, average pricing but food is nice Staff could be friendlier - been a few times and when I've asked for more sauce/napkins they never come!! Would eat here again though as food is good

Came here on a Saturday afternoon about 2pm and it was very quiet. There's a huge car park, so spaces are plenty. For starters we had Poppadoms which came with 3 dips (not pictured), followed by the Horseshoe Grill which consisted of: Chicken tikka, Chicken wings, Lamb sheek kebab, Lamb chops, Fish pakora and Chicken lollipops 🍗 , and a Veggie Grill which consisted of: Soya tikka, Paneer tikka, Mushroom pakora and Aloo tikki 🥔 I can't comment on the Veggie Grill as I did not eat it, however the person that did eat it said it was nice 👍. As for the Horseshoe Grill, the portion was split between myself and another person and was decent, however... Eventhough there was some flavours from the chicken, it just felt a bit bland. Both of us ageeed that the most flavoursome thing was the lollipop chicken 🤤🤤🤤 so would definitely recommend that on its own! As for the chicken tikka once you bite into it, it was dry and not moist 💧, same could be said for the Sheesh kebabs they were leaner tasting in meat but again, they were a little dry that's also with having the dips. The chicken wings, in all honesty were a bit of a letdown too. You get and initial bite of flavour but then it just dies and becomes quite bland 🫤. Fish pakora on the other had was lovely! So it's a bit of a mixed bag. I would still say try it but, I'd also say it might be worth buying things separately . Moving onto the mains, which consisted of the following: Butter Chicken 🍛 Garlic and Cheese Nann Garlic and Coriander Nann I can't remember what the vegetarian dish was. The butter chicken.... In short and simple was too tomato based to the point that it didn't really taste like butter chicken. I wouldn't recommend it! Garlic and Coriander Nann 💯 would recommend it! Garlic and Cheese Nann... Get this if you are going to share it between at least 3 people as it's heavy 🫄 There is a drinks selection which includes Indian drinks like thumbs up 👍 and Indian lemonade. Overall it was okay but not amazing, it had it's pros and cons but we left feeling a bit meh about the food. May try again but not in the near future. Side note: I did not tell the staff I will be leaving my review, and this review is my honest thoughts on this shop! 💯. In all my years of eating curry I have never tasted such a load of crap and that's being polite !! Please don't waste your hard earned money. Rude ignorant staff . Keen to take money before youve even had your 'mush" and even keener to get rid of you!!!! We were out with friends and I didn't want to make a fuss but please don't go there!!!!!!!!!

Really enjoyed this place, food was lovely and staff was friendly. Seemed like a very busy place . But was like a pub atmosphere. The food here is one of the best and it's a must try. The food is top-notch. If you have not been here already then go you will not be disappointed. When it's busy it can be a little loud inside the restaurant that's the only downside.

The portions are extremely generous for the price point and one starter would have been enough. I went for a tandoori roti and Dahl makhani for a 2nd course, again a lovely portion size and just incredibly tasty. All in all a great meal for one, the surroundings are nice, with background noise from the kitchen adding a nice buzz even eating alone. Cobra nice and cold and crisp. All in all if I lived closer I'd be in here more often. Definitely worth a try.

Mediocre at best unless you into mix grill, which isn't bad. Tried a few of the curries, all taste and look the same nevermind which one ordered, quick turn around place as very popular, if you want to eat and drink and chill maybe not the place for you, felt rushed! Quite expensive, much cheaper better places to eat.

Great restaurant and great staff. Service was prompt and the restaurant was clean. The bar has a large selection of drinks and some good beers on draft. They also have Limca and Thums Up which are sometimes hard to come by. We ordered the Horse Grill; for £22 this was underwhelming. The grill itself was quite small, I thought it was would quite a bit larger than what it was, especially for the price. Some of the naan were too thin and crispy at points. Chilli chips were decent also. Overall a nice restaurant to come to but I’ve had better mix grills before.

Really disappointing! Food awful, everything way to salty, ordered a Biryani because I fancied something mild. Normally go for spicy meals madras, Rezella ect. couldn't even eat the Biryani so bloody hot!! Ridiculous, staff couldn't be bothered, quite happy to take your money and have unhappy customers! Definitely won't go back! Will be advising everyone I know to avoid the place, food shocking, service even worse.

Not the cheapest of desi pubs (£4.80 a pint, just shy of £50 for three people to have a main/rice each with some poppadoms to start) but fantastic quality food, and the bar/restaurant is done up to an exceptional standard versus other similar eateries. Well maintained and not even remotely tatty. Staff also very accommodating and friendly. The same price and food as good as most other sit-down Indian restaurants, but with the added bonus of being able to watch live sports whilst you eat.
