FIRST TIME IVE ORDERED .as ive recently moved back up north from the south ( portsmouth) ...WHAT CAN I SAY . .very polite on phone .repeated my order ..which you dont genually get from others .the delivery lad was helpful had to go back to his car for change ..the food was lovely.. fish cooked to perfection ..and i love cod ..chips nice and tasty .the rest of order was nice aswell ..spot on DONWELL CHIPPY am well impressed ..will defo be ordering again ..and the portions are well impressive .well worth the money ..bit higher than some chippys but if its quality you want dont mind paying the extra ..cheers :)

The quality of food is superb and the delivery time is good. 'Chinese' is now one of the more expensive takeaway options. Some things that used to be included, are now chargeable extras. Our meals were Shredded Beef in Cantonese sauce with fried rice; Chicken and King Prawn Chow Mein and Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls with chips. Delivery was 30 minutes early, which was excellent, as was the food.

First time I've ordered from New Golden Wok, have to say it was gorgeous, big chunks of meat, sauce was thick (just right) so tasty, not watery like others I've had from other places, best Chinese I've had in a long time , will definitely order again from them, reasonably priced aswell, delivered well within timescale.

I always go here never had a bad curry yet beef and Maylasian Curry beautiful x 3yrs later and I still go to the golden wok meals are beautiful and still reasonably priced .

Big fan of this place, excellent food and fast delivery. However, I haven't given full stars as we're finding it hard to keep track of when it is actually open. For example, made our decision to dine from here on Friday 2 April 21. Checked Just Eat in the early evening and there it was - open. Great news! Settled down for a few pre meal drinks and went to order later in the evening but it was either closed or offline. Ended up having to make do with a very disappointing pizza from elsewhere instead. Not to be deterred, planned to order today, 5 April 21 but not online! Thought this was strange for Easter Monday so decided to visit and this is the bit you need to know. On the actual sign, and not anywhere else from what I can tell, is a bit of paper saying that they will be closed Mon, Tue and Wed 'for the time being'. Not sure what timescale this actually refers to or why, but be aware that you will only be able to order Thursday to Sunday. As to what time they close, no idea! Catch it open and you won't be disappointed though. Still looking forward to our next order. Update 05/02/22. Opening times still random, even as we'reout of covid restrictions. Google shows closes at 11pm (Friday) but arrived at 22.50 and they were closed. Very frustrating.

I had Singapore Chow Mein, which normally contains Chicken, Beef, Pork and Prawns or Shrimps, in a hot and spicy sauce. This one was entirely devoid of Prawns or Shrimps and there was no discernible signs of any Pork. The Chicken and Beef were uninspiring and insufficient and there was no heat or spice whatsoever. The whole dish was dry, as were the chips that we ordered separately and with one of the other two meals, which were at best average. I don't know whether or not they have changed hands, got a different chef or were having a bad day but it was well below the standards of our previous experiences from them. On a positive note, the delivery time and service was still good.

Good service and reasonable priced, one of the best Chinese in the area. Food didn’t taste as salty as many others. However would like the option not to add MSG to curry’s apart from that spot on

Ordered from here last night and the food was really enjoyable the food was hot and on point all round a good Chinese takeaway and I didnt have to wait to long for my order and the delivery service was friendly and all round good service and there Prices are reasonable and I would recommend them and give them a try

I had the Shredded Beef in Chilli, Ginger & Spring Onion, with fried rice. It was piping hot and both looked and tasted superb. My wife had Young Chow Fried Rice with a portion of curry sauce, which was also very satisfying. Our order arrived 15 minutes early, which was a pleasant surprise. They have an extensive menu to choose from and I am sure that we will be back, to try other dishes.

Best Chinese in Washington brilliant prices too

I don't usually eat Chinese takeaway food however we tried the Golde Wok today and the food was great. Duck breast was sliced and not little bits that you sometimes get from a takeout. Satay beef had lovely slices of beef. I would definitely recommend this place and use them again. Only downside was the 1.5 hour wait for delivery but it was worth it.

Proper let down waited ages for this place to reopen then they tell me there not taking anymore orders even tho it's only half ten, will be going elsewhere from now on proper sickna waited ages to be let down

Best Chinese around all there food is super tasty, your best off picking up your food as they are very busy and delivery can sometimes suffer because of it. But like I said AMAZING CHINESE FOOD!!!!!

Tried this place for the first time spent £35 on food between 4 people and nearly the whole lot went in the bin and didn't get everything we asked for and what we did get was very bland n tasteless massively dissapointed worst Chinese in the world. People who order from here will starve to death.

Never once managed to get an order in. Constantly cancel when ordering through just eat even though I'm paying by card and live less than 2 mile away. Utter waste of space
