The Nelson Arms in Merton

Managed to book a table for two in the outdoor area. Staff all very helpful. Enjoyed a great night with fellow England supporters. Was a fantastic atmosphere. Food good too.

Service fantastic - atmosphere good - no better place to chill, eat and watch football on a sunny afternoon.

This is a proper old style pub, but with Tv's for sport. It's very 'no frills' but they have s good range of beers, quite well priced and friendly staff, so if you just fancy a beer while watching sport, this is your pub.

When staying in Wimbledon for work, I regularly visit the Nelson Arms pub in Merton. It is a short walk from the workplace. The bar staff are very friendly and quick service. They have a good selection of beers, although any lager drinkers will have to make do with Fosters if like me you don't like Carlsberg. Guiness on tap along with a multitude of other ales and beers. There is a pool table on the left of the bar, two big screen TV's showing sky sports etc and a bigger screen on the right of the bar with ample seating. More importantly for me there is a good darts board on a raised oche - they have a new Blade 4 dartboard up, with good lighting - so the throw is a good throw, only downside is the chalk board can be tricky as the board is on it, so not much room to write scores. There are tables outside for the adventurous in the cold, but would be good when warm weather appears. The toilets are a bit dated, but clean and do what they say on the tin. I personally have not tried the food, but probably will at some point and will do a review based on the food when I do so. Great little pub, great customer service, pints good and enough to keep a sport/beer fuelled person happy.

Surprisingly run by Asian Father and son and run very well, cater for all sports on 3 big screens, cheapest pint in Wimbledon and nice bar bites when watching rugby.

we went ere as was walking through and i was starving it was hubbys birthday wanted sumwhere nice for him , butw asnt gona pay prices of 16 quid for chilli con carnie , any way we saw on window food for 5 quid so went in well we paid and the food was on our table my food was cold wouldnt go again

Wonderful atmosphere. Good food, excellent value for money and the drinks are not overpriced. The Manager is most helpful and has a good friendly efficient team.

Good local pub, go regularly for soccer and rugby matches. They have 2 sky boxes and are accommodating if you want to watch rugby while the soccer is on. Friendly and attractive bar staff make it a nice place for few pints. Open mic midweek can be good. Proprietor is very friendly too. Beer garden out back.
