Lovely medium sized pub, the staff were very friendly and polite the atmosphere was really nice and welcoming, they had a good range of pub activities such as darts and pool.

This is one of the most chill and homey feeling pubs I've been to in the U.K. It truly felt like I was welcomed even tho o was poor and didn't have as much to spend as most people. They were super chill and I watched a cool movie on their t.v.

Was staying in town for one night and decided to try this place for a drink with my two sons as overall it had good reviews on here. It didn't go well. The first warning sign was customers smoking weed outside. On walking to the bar, another drunk customer (one of the regulars) took one look at us and decided we were all police (we aren't) and proceeded to be threatening towards us. To be fair, he was told to calm down by many of the other patrons and the barman but the effect on his attitude was limited. The barman that served me was clearly drunk and continued to drink openly. We sat down and drank our drinks but mostly, the time was spent justifying why we were there. There were some lovely regulars that were friendly and apologetic but we were on edge, waiting for things to kick off. Not a pleasant experience. As for the pub itself, it's seen better days and is very tired.

Went for a pint here today, won’t be going again. 5:15pm on a Tuesday afternoon and the bar tender (landlord?) was absolutely hammered drunk and off his face. Smashing glasses behind the bar trying to poor us a drink. Spitting in left glasses on the bar. Absolutely rude and disrespectful to me and my wife who had only popped in for a quick pint after work. The bartender was honestly lucky he didn’t have a pool queue wrapped around his head. Would not recommend a visit at all.

The landlady (Finbar) is a lovely sort, quite a dish aswell! Lovely bar,. Cocktails are to die for! Well done fin, make the place 👏

The pints are ice cold and the jukebox never stops...Great spot!

Very welcoming pub to an Irish stag, the locals rendition of the classic “go on home…” was heart warming. Service was top notch and local Chinese cuisine delectable 👌🏼

Good Sunday lunch, friendly staff, and value for money. Also been here during the week, and it’s equally good.

Brilliant highly recommended, food was excellent and plenty of it. Can't wait to try the Sunday lunch. AA++

Very good new deco better than it was very stilish first course nice and the pudding the turkey was nice the veg was not cooked enough for me still hard the boiled potatoes were very watery roast potatoes were amazing home made gravy was very watery I would not come here again

Worst place in the world, staff are mean and aggresive and the 21 year old she is snobby and thinks she knows it all. The boy 18 year old boy likes to cheat on his girlfriends abd use them and he liles to use his family to get out of places he lived. He is obnoxious and aggresive and ihave been bullied by him my whole life and now im standing up for myself dont go to this shot place

New owners nice shiny refurb and very welcoming staff.

Great venue and hosts lyndon and Louise very welcoming beers are great and entertainment excellent.

Nice traditional pub, fantastic views, very friendly staff, good food & drinks. Free parking opposite.
