Very cosy and nice pub, friendly staff. Only went for a quick drink, but I'd go back again

The manager bends over backwards to run this place. Friendly atmosphere with great selection of drinks including hot ones and at a decent price. Pool table and jukebox. Alongside Jasper the pub dog whose absolutely lovely.

I haven’t been there since 1988, but it was the favorite pub for myself and many new friends and acquaintances made during my beloved time in the Medway towns. *Perhaps* it has changed a bit, but I hope not too much. I will say however, that I was overjoyed to see the Nag’s Head still extant, and seemingly doing well- if not quite well indeed! Bless and Long Live the Nag’s Head! May her doors and beer taps remain open for decades to come!

Nice pub. Friendly place where you can listen to live music some nights. Supporting grass roots music is important and this place delivers on that. Look forward to going again to sample their wide range of beers and lovely atmosphere

Played there twice with my band, The Electric Rats. One of the few places that's actively supporting grass roots music. Great place, great staff, great punters. Love playing there, can't wait to go back.

I visited the Nags head to watch a band and had a great evening. It was a very welcoming and friendly pub. The only downside was that it is a true wet bar, so no food at all other than crisps, at least not on the evening we were there. Very reasonable prices, great barmaids, really helpful .

Fantastic pub! Slightly hidden away in Rochester but well, well worth the trip! Pool table, Local Ales on tap, Juke Boxes, I absolutely fell in love with this place They also have a resident dog!

A traditional pub in Rochester Kent. Split on two levels with a pool table in the top section. They have a jukebox and often have local live bands. There is a courtyard at the rear where smoking is allowed. There is a good selection of beers , wines and spirits plus they do coffees, cappuccino, latte etc. Prices are a little lower than some other pubs in the area. The pubs customers a primarily locals, the atmosphere is friendly. They have bar snacks but currently do not serve food although snacks are served at their Sunday night quiz. They've also started an open mic night on the first and third Monday of each month.

We saw two bands here on the 30th Sept. There was a good range of beers and spirits and we were served quickly. Only niggle was the amount of loud talking when the bands were playing made it difficult to hear. Good pub, but not good for bands.

Many thanks to the very kind lady who helped fill our water bottles 💧today (2023-08-19) - I didn’t get a chance to have a drink 🍺 there as I was only cycling through Rochester on a hot sunny ☀️ day and still got many kilometres to go. She was so thoughtful to even offer ice 🧊 when I asked if she would give us some water. Really refreshing, very much appreciated. I’d definitely have grabbed a drink there if I wasn’t gonna be on the road again so quickly. Hopefully next time when I go past it! 🙏🏼☺️

Traditional old pub in a historic setting a few minutes walk from the main centre of Rochester. Popped in here for a couple of beers - Moretti was the chosen beer - and to play on the gaming machine. Machine is an older-style electronic machine with unusual games. No big wins, position at close was neutral. Good layout, with a couple of bars and an area with a pool table. Tiny garden to the side. Nice place for a drink.

We love this pub. It's the only pub down that road that we use. We used to go to the North foreland until it was shut down. The nags is just a nice pub for a quiet drink and a chat, friendly staff and I've never experienced anyone there causing drama, never seen fights break out, it's just a nice social place

Lovely small old fashion cosy pub. Staff friendly, customers very happy. Hops around bar, small fire glowing in the lower bar. Plenty of seating with cushions available. Small dogs are welcomed. Snooker table available. Tea, coffee available also.

I've been walking past this pub for years and finally went in last weekend. I was so pleasantly surprised at how airy, friendly and generally nice the atmosphere was. Beautifully laid out interior, footie and pool, and great music. A good range of drinks as well! One of the best pubs I've been to in Medway

A lovely and friendly pub with welcoming staff and a good variety of drinks. My parents used to come here back in the 70s and I haven't visited it for over 24 years. It is comforting to find it still to be a great place to enjoy a pint.

Better than I expected as my memories are from decades ago when it was a student hangout for pool playing. It was a pleasant experience, though I had to buy a pack of crisps to reach the £5 minimum for payment by card.

Cosy pub on the corner. Split level floors. Excellent staff - friendly and accommodating. Comfy decor and spotless female toilets. Received a warm welcome, which lasted throughout the night. Great place! xx

Hadn't been to this pub for many years and it was a pleasant surprise , friendly staff , nice proper pub feel/atmosphere , normal prices and by the looks of it a great menu , will definitely be back , only gave 4 stars as didn't try the food but will update.

Not entirely sure why I go here. The barmaids change almost weekly, which isn't a great sign for how they are treated. The landlord and landlady are....characters. I have several stories I could tell...Given it's a very indie/student pub which often has live music, the landlady coming out steaming and putting 30 minutes of atmosphere killing Nicki Minaj on the jukebox was always a highlight. It does have infinitely more charm and atmosphere than your average Wetherspoons chain, and I've got a lot of affection for the place, but I'm not totally sure why.

Pub was fine, friendly barmaid greeted us and they have a decent covid protocol. Text a number and it sorts you out. Pool table in good condition decent offering off drinks will come again.

Good local pub with cosy, traditional atmosphere. Quirky with different levels and areas inside, well priced cider and hosts local bands. As it's off the main tourist trail it is unlikely to be filled with tourist groups. A good place to sit and chinwag and muse about the world with the landlords and your fellow drinkers.

Good little cosy pub, great friendly staff, with a good selection of drinks. Often there is live music at wkends, but it will get very crowded on them nights. As space is a little limited. They seve food during the day also, although I can't comment as I haven't eaten here. Although from what I have seen, looks like good quality pub grub. The usual bar snacks are on offer, a Jukebox, a pool table, and plenty of seating for the size of it.
