My food was good but my friend who is a vegetarian wanted a curry with rice but you didn't have any the service was good 👍

Food was lovely ,the mix grill was perfect and staff were lovely

Was waiting to be served and the pub manager kicked us out for nothing had my Id my friends had theirs, I'm disgusted

the drinks, especially the pitchers, are always really good, however the food can be very hit or miss.. the waiters also take a while to clean the tables sometimes, and i've seen 3/4 different groups arrive and the glasses from the first group are still on the table. this is only usually the case on busy nights though. however, if you're going for a casual, cheap night out in wigan, i'd definitely recommend!

Very large Wethers across two and a half levels, the usual wide selection of drinks and the food is usually very decent. One word of advice though, this place can get very busy at times, but is still worth visiting.

Visit many Wetherspoons pubs in North West. This has to be the worst for service. Was great until covid but has gone down hill since.

Not the best spoons for food but definitely not the worst. Beers always good but service is slow on occasion

I was here for a drink and some food on a weekday recently. Great place. All the usual good value and choice from JD Wetherspoons and the pub was pretty busy with a good atmosphere. So nice to see a pub busy like they used to be.

Very quaint with lots of little private cubby-hole like table areas to sit at....

This pub is part of the Wetherspoon empire. It has decent food for the price, which lets you forgive to some extent that the sausages were undercooked, and the free refill cappucino tasted like water at breakfast. I took a large breakfast which was rather pricy for this kind of place. The pub feels very cramped and claustrophobic, like cattle parked with almost no space between the tables, which were is much too high a number. Other customers there are also not of the nicest kind. They give you long unpleasant looks and are rather rude. There is no parking nearby, so one needs to walk there.

Don't normally leave negative reviews about "spoons" because they're normally pretty good but... Ordered a simple breast katsu curry which took 20 mins to come even though the app says 5 minutes, then I only got 2 poppadoms instead of 4, spoke to the guy that served my food and he said he would check with the kitchen, that was over 20 minutes ago and I've now finished my food... The cider doesn't taste great either. Shame..

Not been here for nearly a year and still a great place to be great food great drinks and fantastic atmosphere.

The only time a staff member approached us was to bark at us to fold my daughters pram down. We waited 45 minutes for Luke warm food, which we initially wasn’t told about the wait (we wouldn’t of minded waiting if we were informed) No apology even the food came, staff member, a shift manager or shift leader rolled her eyes at my 1 year old as she got up out of her chair as she got restless with the wait. Throughout our miserable stay heard several members of management? I’m assuming as they were dressed in their own clothes, BARKING at customers, and told customers they were too busy to resolve complaints. Baring in mind it’s obviously a very busy town centre pub some customer service training really needs to be done, if management is THAT bad I feel sorry for the staff, how do they cope? Never again.

I love Spoons. This one at the heart of Wigan is really tired now. Crying out for a refit and decor refresh. Prefer to visit the Brocket Arms Wetherspoon a few miles away.

A busy town centre weatherspoon pub. Plenty of seating though, The usual food which is cheap and cheerful and always luke warm. But on the bonus side.. Cheap drinks and unlimited refills on hot drinks from the self serve machines. You always know what you will get with this chain. So no surprise.

Busy due to Wigan Pride! Filthy look from the doorman coming in! he had to clean the table so we could stand near the door to listen to the acts!! Had a good laugh.

Food is what you expect from Wetherspoons. It's ok and value for money. Always busy. Has outside seating. Staff are friendly and efficient

Food is always good here but they can't cope with days when it is busy or when people order on the app. We ordered food at around 5pm, it arrived at about 5:20 and our drinks didn't arrive until about 5:40, despite us asking twice. I think we'll be going elsewhere in future.

If you think Wigan is rough wait until you see the spoons staff!

Food was a little over cooked but overall was a great experience

It's just a spoons, but really like this one. Burgers, mixed grill, pizza and chicken wings/bites consistently good. Staff pleasant. You see all sorts fro work men, people dressed up on a night out....Great for people watching.

Wouldn't go in this place for free food or drink,staff completely unprofessional and clueless who don't even know what they are doing,very bad management skills no idea how to treat customers with respect,worst restaurant in wigan if not in UK I wouldn't recommend this place at all not too mention food is extremely poor and beer watered down on a scale of 1 to 10 I wouldn't even give 1

Unfortunately The worst wetherspoons I've ever been in. The service was terrible one girl behind the bar apologising While other members of staff hanging around doing nothing, Food was cold and not Cooked to the usual standard disgraceful did not take photos just wanted to get away.

Typical Weatherspoons pub that is looking a bit tired now. A pint of Ruddles Best was £1.79. Huge menu to choose from. Right in the middle of town.

Please don't bother spending your money here tonight waited over ten minutes to be served .If you know the bar staff then you will get served quicker . Two of the staff finished serving mates then went n stood in the kitchen til the lone bar person served the six customers left drank up and went John bull way better service

Good beer at a good price the lady behind the bar was very efficient under a heavy pressure whilst other staff were stood about chatting.

Very good prices compared to a lot of other pubs. They have a good selection of drinks. Staff are OK.

Went there today for breakfast and got Eggs benedict.....well the best ever bar none! Tea and coffee only £1.56 and refillable aswell as much as you want and decent quality too. Definitely recommend.

It's definitely not one of the better wetherspoons

Really poorly run, dirty and understaffed and management take no accountability saying they've only just come on shift so nothing to do with them. Normally like wetherspoons but this one is rubbish. Ignore the estimated wait times on the app because they plucked out of thin air, real wait times at least 5 times longer.

The food is awful but the drinks are good. The staff are kind and helpful. Understandably it must be hard to manage a lot of people's noise level so I do empathise but there was a few rowdy customers being extremely loud.

Much like many other spoons pubs. Cheap, decent quality food. Local, national and international beers at very reasonable prices. Personally, I only drink beer. But there's loads of other drinks on offer. The only downside, is all the town centre riffraff you get in here. Most people at pretty courteous. But you get the occasional table of low lives, making lots of noise and leaving rubbish everywhere.

Poor service, staff attitude towards customers. I ordered 3 breakfast with 3 cokes. I paid and waited for nearly 1 hour. I didn't see the food. I went in to ask. The staff said I only ordered 3 cokes and 3 beers. talk about attitude and ignorance. Does anyone drink beer and coke? My family and I are regular customers and will definitely not return. Typical town centre weatherspoons

3 of us went in for breakfast today asked for 2 traditional breakfasts two bacon and egg mc muffins bacon was supposed to be crispy eggs runny then we tried to tell them and one of the staff members has just said and I quote this is a wetherspoons and we use microwaves so when you think your breakfast is cooked fresh it's coming out of the microwave and the staff are rude and can not take instructions So as for me I will never eat there again the menu says fresh food and that's what you expect when your paying for food.

Main meal very good. However they had run out of custard so I didn't get to have a dessert.

Good stop off before dental appointment!

Very bad service. Both bartenders just walked off for quite a while to talk to customers leaving people waiting at the bar bewildered . Just came back no apology just asking who was next. Last 3 visits customer service here is somewhat wanting.

Nice Wetherspoons, the decor is absolutely lovely, old stone and lots of character, somewhat big establishment, not huge but nice. Obviously as you're used to the toilets are upstairs, staff are friendly and the foods standard for what you'd expect from a spoons. Overall good experience.

Place busy, food ok but ive had better for the price. Nice friendly staff though. Pub just tired and showing its age. It's a quick stop off before going home for a bite to eat and a sit down

Drinks expensive £6.15 for a double vodka, it's cheaper in other pubs I was quite shocked how much the prices have gone up

Standard Wetherspoon's pub. large,full, and cheap.The bar was well staffed and the pub was clean. Unicorn gin and lemonade is worth trying

Not the biggest of weatherspoons but the locals are sound, they may seem intimidating at first but once you get to know them you'll have the time of your life. The food and service are bang on too

Love this place so much . The food is tasty , well cooked and even for the person who asked for rare...cooked to perfection. Good portions for the prices. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Lovely atmosphere , everyone is so friendly and plenty of room for eating and at the bar. Highly recommend and will always be a favourite.

Called in at 4pm on tuesday. Full of children running about, being noisy. Eating their own food from poundbakery. Parents not bothered as long as they could drink. Where has the rule gone regarding kids can come in only if eating .

It is ideal to meet up with friends or family.

Called in for a burger it was absolutely appalling wouldn't give it to our dog ,dry crisp over cooked didn't eat it, the server virtually thrown it at the table, Would not recommend

hot chocolate mediocre but the raspberry refresher was good! i had a hallumi wrap earlier that was tasty and the panini was ok

Now I’m a regular at spoons all over the place drink spot on food as always iffy but what Wigan had an abundance of was crackheads sat in the outside area swearing and abusing staff who to be fair strongly told them to leave. Hard to see a town I love being overrun with drug addicts it’s like day of the living dead so very sad .

Clean friendly staff ordered bacon sandwich and sausage sandwich both were cold when served it was early but a hot bacon Sandwich shouldn't be too much to ask for otherwise typical wetherspoons

Having a stoma I need to use the disabled loo & I'm sick of people leaving the door open on the disabled loo so everybody else can pee all over it.

As far as a Wetherspoons goes, this is decent! £8.46 for fish & chips and a pint of San Miguel, can't complain

I popped in for a vegetarian all day brunch. The place was jam packed with football fans, both home team and way team supporters. On top of high noise levels, the away team supporters dtarted chanting at the top of their lungs. Food wise it took a while, due to crowd size. It was warm. The sausages needed a chain saw to cut them!!! However the egg was as ever amazing. The lay out of coffee machine was in a far corner of the pub. Accessable toilet is behind twp doors.{the toilet seat was loose) Huge admiration to staff working in such challenging conditions. Next time I will go to the other, nearby 'Spoons' The Brocket Arms. Much more family oriented and quieter and more accessible for those with mobility issues. (I have/had a fractured shoulder at the time I visited and use a stick)

Good place to chill in the rain,

This was a fantastic pub for drinking, harboring a vintage style with the architecture throughout indoors! The bar is well-presented and had Christmas decorations; Blue Moon was on tap for once which is a rarity that had to be seized upon by me. Seating is well cushioned, cleanliness had been maintained and ease of access is given through the different doors!

Lovely busy pub but too busy for me, waiting too long to get served ect, food is standard Yates's fare not brilliant but edible, needs garnishes

Ordered sirloin steak and chips thought it came with mushroom, etc when order came was just steak anddchips had a little bit of a issue cause I requested refund manager said no refund as we didn't ask for mushrooms or peas toms.i then went to bar paid 4.50 extra which thats fine food came everything was cold apart from peas n mushroom steak was disgusting as u can see from pictures that is not a sirloin steak .I will not be returning again sorry you l have lost my custom .

I love this place. Everything is awesomely great.

Went on a coach trip to Lancaster. We was given a full breakfast bap and bottomless coffee. Was a great day out and the atmosphere on the coach was fab. Value for money. Not forgetting our host Ashley she was fun, friendly and very helpful. Thanks again from a family of 9 celebrating my mum's birthday x

Standard pub grub at good prices

Workers were wonderful and the ambience was lovely, the food poisoning after was not. Note to anyone here, the burgers are not safe. The website to order things was dodgy and didn't register the 'free drink' I had clicked on. Safe to say I'm not going back but the workers deserve a raise.
