Service was shocking the manager defently needs to smile.the food was cold I didn't get what I asked for.ignorant staff

Ordered a large breakfast .When it finally arrived it was cold and dryed up .Looked like it had been left under a heat lamp then put to the side .The worst wetherspoons breakfast I have ever had

You get what you pay for and this place is cheap. It's been here some years and I'm need of a makeover.

I had an Halluomi burger with chips, when it came there was only a few chips and was luke warm and the burger wasn,t great that was just warm but the bun was burnt.

Always a good quality pint, service was spot on. Great staff.

I had the miners breakfast (eggs Benedict but with black pudding) was lovely, speedy service. Will have it again

Ordered a pint and it after waiting for 40 minutes I just went to the bar and got a refund.

Came here for breakfast ordered 10.50, received food 11.25 not a good start, black pudding warmish but frazzled, bacon very fatty and cold, I asked for poached eggs, not done properly and cold, toast well not toast really think it was placed in the grill and taken out straight away, cold, sausages were ok warm, hash browns well done but warm, would I come again......I would try as soon as the doors open as I dnt think the kitchen staff can cope when it gets busy......shame.

Very rude blonde young girl with an attitude problem, she takes our drinks order and then she just walks off and starts washing pots after waiting there for about 10 minutes for our drinks we ask if she has them and she said with a bad attitude I gave you them so we said no we haven’t had any drinks and she repeated again well I handed you your drinks but I can make you another if I have too and we said look we haven’t been handed any drinks so yes please then her co worker pulls out our two drinks from about a meter and abit down from where we was stood hidden directly behind the till where you can’t see from behind the bar. We never got an apology she just gave us a bad look.

Refused a assistance dog even thought on the sigs it says assistance dogs only my partner is blind in left eye only got 10 % in right eye staff member was very rude to her allowed regulars to threaten us both yet blamed ne to manger for being loud and shouting police and council have been notified as the law was broken it has been logged as a hate crime to my disabled partner

This is a Wetherspoons in Wigan Town Centre. The usual "spoons" food and drinks are available, which are great value for money. One thing that always annoys me is, even though there is an outside seating area at the entrance, you ALWAYS have to walk through cigarette smoke from people standing in the doorway!! Plus, people were openly vaping inside the pub, disgusting!!!!!!!!

Spoons always gets a 5. Cheap prices fairly decent quality and different carpets in every one. Service was confusing as missing things off order but all resolved quickly.

Went yesterday, daughter had large mixed grill , the meat was so thin , one piece was a funny colour, rest was cold , shocking for a mixed grill,I had jacket, prefer my skin crispier, asked for beans and cheese , think on both they scrimping beans were gone after second mouthful, hardly any cheese and again cold , won't go back, shocking

We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and had no issues with the food at all. For the price of the meals it was brilliant 😊 It wasn't too noisy and the staff were polite.

Lots of room , lots of tables , great food love the eggs benedict . Portion sizes fill a large appetite and they won't mind if you can't Finnish.

My food was fine, but it shouldn't be hard to cook a poached egg and toast, but my wife ordered pancakes with bacon and maple syrup (god knows why) but they forgot the bacon when she told them it didn't come back to her until she asked and was stoned cold, they didn't think to warm the pancakes or give her fresh ones, so we ate separately. Oh and the freezer refills coffee, when we went back both machines were not working.

Ordered food and drinks. Drinks only arrived after we had eaten our food. Even though I had mentioned to staff twice.

Staff and service are really great. I ordered a hamburger and chips. And paid about £8 to £9 for it. But sorry to say Mc Donald's looks better for half the price.

It is ideal to meet up with friends or family.

All the other waitresses and everyone else who works in weatherspoons are always 5 stars out of 5 so kind so lovely however at multiple points I have been singled out by an older woman once when I was homeless I was really tired and she used this as an excuse to kick me on the street whilst I was harassed by a group of people who followed me from pub to pub trying to abduct me I complained about this she just put me on the street this was February so while ago now ever since she wouldn't let me back in until summer she stopped bothering me as obviously I've done nothing wrong and I'm not banned and have never done anything to cause anyone harm or any problem everything was fine until last night my partner proposed to me and we got engaged at this weatherspoons my partner is 31 and was served at multiple points with alcohol for us both until we wanted the mango and passion fruit cocktail it wasn't loud or busy so there would be no reason for her to mishear us she put the wrong cocktail through so obviously we told her she then makes a remark to us saying yes we wanted this cocktail when obviously we didn't as obviously that's why we let her know she had made a mistake she then after being very moody with us saying it was us whi had made a mistake asks to see ID which is fine obviously my partner didn't have ID which obviously check ID sure but the problem is she herself had put the drinks through the wrong drink before asking and getting confrontational with us and saw us at multiple points drinking in weatherspoons several drinks beer cocktails and she said nothing until she put the wrong drink through and then because my partner didn't have ID however I did she wouldn't serve him but then when I asked for the drink I wanted she said I could only have a beer so I decide to leave as she is very much trying to cause an argument also blaming the drinks being served on other people working there when my partner is 31 and no offense to my partner ha ha definitely looks 31 it's obvious he's over 25 however I understand you need to ID but why put a drink through for us in the first place then blame everybody else when she's seen us drinking blaming other people for serving us when she was about to do the same thing she blonde skinny older woman maybe late 40s early 50s she ruins it for everybody else who does a very good job such a shame won't be returning

Food nothing special but we like the breakfasts, there was a wait to order, we go there for a brekkie early Sunday morning before shopping,

It's just a spoons, but really like this one. Burgers, mixed grill, pizza and chicken wings/bites consistently good. Staff pleasant. You see all sorts fro work men, people dressed up on a night out....Great for people watching.

Was waiting to be served and the pub manager kicked us out for nothing had my Id my friends had theirs, I'm disgusted

the drinks, especially the pitchers, are always really good, however the food can be very hit or miss.. the waiters also take a while to clean the tables sometimes, and i've seen 3/4 different groups arrive and the glasses from the first group are still on the table. this is only usually the case on busy nights though. however, if you're going for a casual, cheap night out in wigan, i'd definitely recommend!

Very large Wethers across two and a half levels, the usual wide selection of drinks and the food is usually very decent. One word of advice though, this place can get very busy at times, but is still worth visiting.

Visit many Wetherspoons pubs in North West. This has to be the worst for service. Was great until covid but has gone down hill since.

I was here for a drink and some food on a weekday recently. Great place. All the usual good value and choice from JD Wetherspoons and the pub was pretty busy with a good atmosphere. So nice to see a pub busy like they used to be.

This pub is part of the Wetherspoon empire. It has decent food for the price, which lets you forgive to some extent that the sausages were undercooked, and the free refill cappucino tasted like water at breakfast. I took a large breakfast which was rather pricy for this kind of place. The pub feels very cramped and claustrophobic, like cattle parked with almost no space between the tables, which were is much too high a number. Other customers there are also not of the nicest kind. They give you long unpleasant looks and are rather rude. There is no parking nearby, so one needs to walk there.

Just had drinks for a birthday party. Beautiful inside. Very clean.

Don't normally leave negative reviews about "spoons" because they're normally pretty good but... Ordered a simple breast katsu curry which took 20 mins to come even though the app says 5 minutes, then I only got 2 poppadoms instead of 4, spoke to the guy that served my food and he said he would check with the kitchen, that was over 20 minutes ago and I've now finished my food... The cider doesn't taste great either. Shame..

Not been here for nearly a year and still a great place to be great food great drinks and fantastic atmosphere.

The only time a staff member approached us was to bark at us to fold my daughters pram down. We waited 45 minutes for Luke warm food, which we initially wasn’t told about the wait (we wouldn’t of minded waiting if we were informed) No apology even the food came, staff member, a shift manager or shift leader rolled her eyes at my 1 year old as she got up out of her chair as she got restless with the wait. Throughout our miserable stay heard several members of management? I’m assuming as they were dressed in their own clothes, BARKING at customers, and told customers they were too busy to resolve complaints. Baring in mind it’s obviously a very busy town centre pub some customer service training really needs to be done, if management is THAT bad I feel sorry for the staff, how do they cope? Never again.

I love Spoons. This one at the heart of Wigan is really tired now. Crying out for a refit and decor refresh. Prefer to visit the Brocket Arms Wetherspoon a few miles away.

A busy town centre weatherspoon pub. Plenty of seating though, The usual food which is cheap and cheerful and always luke warm. But on the bonus side.. Cheap drinks and unlimited refills on hot drinks from the self serve machines. You always know what you will get with this chain. So no surprise.

Busy due to Wigan Pride! Filthy look from the doorman coming in! he had to clean the table so we could stand near the door to listen to the acts!! Had a good laugh.

Food is always good here but they can't cope with days when it is busy or when people order on the app. We ordered food at around 5pm, it arrived at about 5:20 and our drinks didn't arrive until about 5:40, despite us asking twice. I think we'll be going elsewhere in future.

If you think Wigan is rough wait until you see the spoons staff!

Unfortunately The worst wetherspoons I've ever been in. The service was terrible one girl behind the bar apologising While other members of staff hanging around doing nothing, Food was cold and not Cooked to the usual standard disgraceful did not take photos just wanted to get away.

Typical Weatherspoons pub that is looking a bit tired now. A pint of Ruddles Best was £1.79. Huge menu to choose from. Right in the middle of town.

Please don't bother spending your money here tonight waited over ten minutes to be served .If you know the bar staff then you will get served quicker . Two of the staff finished serving mates then went n stood in the kitchen til the lone bar person served the six customers left drank up and went John bull way better service

Good beer at a good price the lady behind the bar was very efficient under a heavy pressure whilst other staff were stood about chatting.

Went there today for breakfast and got Eggs benedict.....well the best ever bar none! Tea and coffee only £1.56 and refillable aswell as much as you want and decent quality too. Definitely recommend.

It's definitely not one of the better wetherspoons

Really poorly run, dirty and understaffed and management take no accountability saying they've only just come on shift so nothing to do with them. Normally like wetherspoons but this one is rubbish. Ignore the estimated wait times on the app because they plucked out of thin air, real wait times at least 5 times longer.

The food is awful but the drinks are good. The staff are kind and helpful. Understandably it must be hard to manage a lot of people's noise level so I do empathise but there was a few rowdy customers being extremely loud.

Poor service, staff attitude towards customers. I ordered 3 breakfast with 3 cokes. I paid and waited for nearly 1 hour. I didn't see the food. I went in to ask. The staff said I only ordered 3 cokes and 3 beers. talk about attitude and ignorance. Does anyone drink beer and coke? My family and I are regular customers and will definitely not return. Much like many other spoons pubs. Cheap, decent quality food. Local, national and international beers at very reasonable prices. Personally, I only drink beer. But there's loads of other drinks on offer. The only downside, is all the town centre riffraff you get in here. Most people at pretty courteous. But you get the occasional table of low lives, making lots of noise and leaving rubbish everywhere.

3 of us went in for breakfast today asked for 2 traditional breakfasts two bacon and egg mc muffins bacon was supposed to be crispy eggs runny then we tried to tell them and one of the staff members has just said and I quote this is a wetherspoons and we use microwaves so when you think your breakfast is cooked fresh it's coming out of the microwave and the staff are rude and can not take instructions So as for me I will never eat there again the menu says fresh food and that's what you expect when your paying for food.

Main meal very good. However they had run out of custard so I didn't get to have a dessert.

Very bad service. Both bartenders just walked off for quite a while to talk to customers leaving people waiting at the bar bewildered . Just came back no apology just asking who was next. Last 3 visits customer service here is somewhat wanting.

Nice Wetherspoons, the decor is absolutely lovely, old stone and lots of character, somewhat big establishment, not huge but nice. Obviously as you're used to the toilets are upstairs, staff are friendly and the foods standard for what you'd expect from a spoons. Overall good experience.

Place busy, food ok but ive had better for the price. Nice friendly staff though. Pub just tired and showing its age. It's a quick stop off before going home for a bite to eat and a sit down
