Not good at all, used to be one of the best cafes in N Wales with great food and fair prices. Now it’s the opposite. £16 pounds for a cold undercooked breakfast, and a small lukewarm latte. I should have complained, but I just walked out feeling disappointed. They won’t get a second chance with me.

Driving towards Tyn y coed we noticed Siabod Caffi was open again so thought why not try here for Breakfast, that was the first mistake. 3 large breakfasts and 3 coffees ordered and they arrived very quickly, probably because nothings cooked fresh I assume because the breakfast looked pale and unappealing. We all cut into the sausages to check they were even warm, 1 lad opting to eat neither sausage and another ate 1 then didn't think they were safe. Bacon was very pale, toast was cold and the mushrooms burnt. The place could do with a lick of paint and carpet, feels like eating in a warehouse currently, not that I'll be returning though.

Perfect base for hikes in the local area. We grabbed 2 breakfast baps and 2 hot chocolates before a 4 mile hike and it was lovely. Reasonably priced at £7 each for the breakfast rolls which were huge and each had 2 sausages, hash browns, bacon and egg. Really cute family run little place that’s definitely worth supporting. It’s the perfect place to visit before or after one of the gorgeous walks in the area. PS Please ignore the guy having a rant about the cost of beans on toast, yes it’s £6 for a large adult portion of beans on toast but the prices in there are definitely not there to rip people off. It’s a lovely family run business that’s only recently opened. The ambience in there is very cute and not that of a bus waiting station. Defo worth a visit in my opinion.

,Walked in and looked at the prices, and walked out. If you take four children in and have a "Cheap" beans on toast (4 or prehaps 8 slices and four spoons of beans) the cost is TWENTY FOUR POUNDS yes £24.00 (£6.00 for beans on toast). The menu is about 30% to 50% OVERPRICED all geared up to RIP OFF the TOURISTS, also the cafe itself has all the atmosphere of a Bus Station Waiting Room. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN, DO NOT STOP.

We were looking for a cappuccino and when we arrived this morning we saw that they also served a few different types of breakfast, so I had smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and my wife had the full Welsh breakfast (the large version) while my smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was alright it was too big a portion. Now for the bad bit……my wife opted for the large Welsh breakfast and said that she didn’t want any eggs, her black pudding wasn’t cooked at all, just slightly fried on the outside, her mushrooms were black and overcooked, her grilled tomato was clearly burned as was her hash brown as well, it could have been presented cleaner if they had served the baked beans in a ramekin and not just dumped on the plate, the sausage was greasy and the skin was hard liked it was maybe cooked yesterday and just reheated today, the chef himself brought it out while his sister talked nonstop about her own country to anybody who would listen. In our opinion the chef should learn how to cook and serve better food. The two mugs of cappuccino tasted like stewed coffee with a foamy head, it didn’t taste good at all and I told her on the way out that we wouldn’t ever come back. Definitely not good food

We're local and like to pop up to the cafe now and again for a bit of lunch. It can be quite a busy place and during the height of the season can be hard to get a table. It's a no frills place for walkers and the outdoor enthusiasts so it doesn't sport 5 star luxury. It is however, clean, tidy and well looked after. The food is nice, I always tend to have a jacket potato of some description which is served with a nice salad and choice of topping. Always a good selection of cake on offer here with a good brew. The only slight let down for me as a Welsh speaking local is the lack of bilingual signage and menus. Considering the cafe is in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, it lacks that local, Welsh feel to it.

I live in the area and have been coming here on & off (b'fast/lunch) for three years. Always had decent/good service & the food is very good. I think the cooked breakfasts are great value & quality (best bacon in the area) Lots of walkers - the path up Moel Siabod commences across the street - & the place has an extensive amount of guide books/maps/equipment for sale. Looks like they now have an EV charger as well.

I am a local person to the Conwy area and also a local guide for Google, I used to love visiting Siabod cafe as it had such a lovely atmosphere, was clean and great food and friendly staff. I did visit a couple of years ago and thought it had changed and Today the penny finally dropped, it definitely had changed owners. After standing at the (recent to me), area for waiting, a very pleasant lady told us to sit anywhere and gave us some very grubby & scruffy paper menus, my partner and myself made our choices and I went to order and pay at the counter, the lady owner was okay, not particularly friendly or smiley but I couldnt say she was rude (to me), although i would have given her a talking to had she spoke to me as she spoke to some other local people after me, about not serving mushrooms after 12pm due to health and hygiene reasons!!?? When she then told the ladies "dont even go there"! I found this a bit much, also i had to order toast (at an extra cost), to go with my partners vegie breakfast. The coffees arrived shortly after I sat back down, whereby the tray of these and condiments were just dumped on the table by a very surly staff member without a word, and she walked away, rather than unpack the tray, now don't get me wrong we all have off days but come on I'd just paid shy of £30 for a very mediocre vegie breakfast and ploughman's lunch (with tastless cheese and not the mature variety as advertised, which yes, I will be taking up with my local Trading standards office), at least give us a smile love and pass us our drinks, this was a well deserved treat for us! (Supposedly). By the way the coffees were luke warm and not hot! The toilets, which unfortunately I had to use twice during our time there due to chronic, longterm illness were absolutely disgusting, with old stains and dirt marks on the ladies toilet door, aswell as the "unisex" ones stinking of urine. Not good enough! The chef looked very unkempt in chefs whites, which were more like chefs squeezed into, unironed greys! No beard or head covering, although I'm not positive if this is a requirement. I know furniture and fittings in front of house arent examined during a food hygiene rating but is it acceptable when you have a current award of 5 which was received in November last year, to have loose, trip hazard carpets fitted throughout your venue. Had I have seen and smelt the state of the toilets before ordering and also noticed the chef, there is no way I would have ordered any food here. I think if you are charging the same or in some cases more than the local average price, you need to up your game Siabod, yes, you get people leaving good reviews who have come off the mountains after hours of hiking, cold, wet and hungry, a lot of them would be grateful for anything to fill their bellies, but for a local person looking for a nice place for lunch then it's a big fat no from us!

The staff are unbelievably rude and unfriendly. As if they are doing you a favour rather than choosing a job they're being paid for. Paninis £7+ and distinctly average. It appears there's some assumption or arrogance that they'll always have the custom due to the location on one of the main roads towards the Ogwen Valley and Snodownia. Lets hope that keeps them going - i.e all the one off visits from tourists.

The breakfasts here are one of the best I've ever had. The sausages and bacon weren't greasy like some and everything was perfectly cooked. Staff absolutely lovely too. Couldn't recommend more.

People hugging shaking hands. That’s the customers hard to see what the staff could do. Most had English accents that’s the customers.

Extensive choice of breakfast dishes. The French toast is very popular, I tried it and it was ace. So I hope to be having that again sometime soon! Husband had scrambled eggs with chunky farmhouse bread so he was happy too. Outdoor seating, nicely spaced...

Can’t be beaten for customer service & excellent cake! They’re dog friendly, have a takeaway facility outside & lots of parking. Table service & careful Covid protocols 👍

After a long day walk on Snowdon, this was a great way to round off the day with a hot chocolate and an impressively sized scone. The location is very convenient for the Snowdon, Glyder and Carnedd ranges, and the prices are reasonable with speedy service.

We visit Siabod Cafe every time we visit the area - two or three times a year and usually two or three times in each weeks visit. The huge scones are to die for! The coffee (latte in our case) is lovely and we’ve always had excellent, friendly service and a warm welcome. Sets us up nicely for walks in the hills. The cafe has several interesting artefacts and magazines and a gallery. Even in these restricted times there is no loss of atmosphere as there is plenty of space and friendly chat. We can’t fault the service or food and thoroughly recommend it to anyone who likes nice people. Thank you Siabod people.

went for a walk from lake crafnant over the ridge, and came across this cafe. It was raining and we decided to grab some food. I was stood outside with the dog as I assumed she wasn't allowed in, especially with all of us being so wet but no, we were all allowed in and sat down at a table. We decided to have some warm food and had scampi and chips with hot chocolates. The food came out quickly and was delicious! The scampi batter was lovely and crispy! We decided after the scampi we'd have one of their cakes as they looked nice! And I wasn't wrong, it was delicious, especially with the hot chocolate. Thank you for a lovely half way walk stop off where we had a place to dry off and warm up and fill our stomachs.

Cosy cafe. Not many tables and can get quite busy. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice bit of music in the background. Breakfast was nice but would have been good to have the option of a poached egg. Only option was fried. Enjoyed my milkshake and my partner enjoyed his coffee. Fair value for money given the tourist area. No parking directly outside but carparks closeby and road parking a way up the road.

Tried to charge for a squeeze of Costco ketchup on my son’s chips after I spent £15 on drinks and chips. It’s easy to spend my hard earned money ANYWHERE else. Usually really like going out of my way to support local independent business that go the extra mile to attract more tourists to the area…. Won’t be coming back here unfortunately. Shame as the location is great. Perhaps this is a little petty, but I thought it just plain mean.

Nice home cooked food, friendly staff! Visited a few times now, a basis looking place but the quality and choice of good home cooked food with really friendly service keeps us coming back and recommending to family. Great value, easy access and free parking.

This is just the most wonderful place..! Afternoon tea today - their own-blend leaf tea was to die for. Best "cuppa" we've had in a long time. The fixed-price afternoon tea came with our choice of sandwich from the main menu, a choice of home-made cake, and an extremely generous portion of bara brith. scones & Welsh cakes. Do this at least once in your life. The quality is exceptional as is the customer-service - real nice people working here. Vert traditional tea-room setting - about 20 covers inside? Seating also available outside and their are quite extensive trails up & behind the property to walk off some of the carbs ;) If you're visiting the Conwy Valley this needs to be on your list.
