Had Sunday lunch with my daughter and our friends. The dinner was outstanding. All fresh, home cooked. Lovely portion and a proper dinner. Staff are so welcoming, friendly and attentive. This is a really fantastic, relaxed and friendly local pub. A real diamond find, thoroughly recommend. Will be back soon!

Review based on one visit. Honestly, I was blow away. The chap behind the bar and the lady organising front of house and kitchen were great. We had never been before. I called ahead, it's Sunday, asked if we could get a table booked and they said it was fine. We arrived soon after and the table was being set up, amazing customer service. They had an amazing quality highchair for our 1 year old too which made the meal time run smoothly. The kids wouldn't have eaten anything off the kids menu (we dont eat meat and they dont particularly eat fishfingers, fussy I know), so we split and adult Cod meal between them and they were fine with that. Food wise, top quality and homecooked, fresh. The cod was absolutly delicious, even better than the sea side. Was some great nostalgia from my childhood to visit a small local pub with good grub. Prices were fair. Good range of soft and alcoholic drinks. The only negative point, would be the lack of baby changing area. Or at least we couldn't find one. But to be honest, we just nipped out and changed our son in the car. No harm. Was great Sunday afteroon. Highly recommended.

Very tasty home cooked food. The minced beef pie, real chips, and mushy peas were delicious. Also, a steal at two meals for £12! Warm welcome and excellent service. Definitely looking forward to visiting for Sunday lunch!

We went in for a pint and a bit of lunch...Great proper British pup..good uncluttered food. Nice local pub atmosphere..enjoyed it...would recommend a visit..

Literally the worse pub I’ve stepped foot in. Horrendous service, waited a ridiculous amount of time at the bar whilst the bar staff were busy doing stuff in the back then served a ‘regular’ straight over my shoulder rather than even asking what I wanted.

The food was lovely enjoyed every mouthful, the owners were very helpful and friendly, I will definitely go again x

Very good service but Very expensive

I was there yesterday with a friend. The food was home cooked & delicious I had meat & potato pie carrots & peas home made jug of gravy which was also delicious & home cooked fat chips perfect comfort food after our walk. Very rare I eat pies / meat out but it was just how I would have made it with good ingredients & the landlord & Sue who cooked it were so friendly. RECOMMENDED The gravy & mint sauce were put on after i took this picture 🤗

The Landlady was exceptionally kind when I just called in to ask for my water bottle filling up whilst on a long walk didn't even charge me for it but I told her to put the money in the charity box Thanks

Been today for ‘Sunday carvery’. Got offered a choice of beef, lamb or chicken. Asked for chicken for my daughter and beef for the rest of us. We asked for chicken as well thinking it would be like any normal Sunday carvery where you could have all 3. But that isn’t the case. It was a chicken breast. Only veg was green beans and cauliflower. Was no seasoning on any food and everything was frozen food. It was like a frozen ready meal from Aldi. My partners Yorkshire pudding was served that frozen he couldn’t even cut it or put a fork in it. Absolutely 0 flavour. To say we paid £9 for that is just not ok. Could of bought 6 ready meals for that price and would probably be better. Safe to say we won’t ever be back. Worst meal I’ve ever had. Staff was rude when we mentioned how we felt about the food and just said well you can have a sweet instead.

Sunday lunch visit here was very poor, The lamb was so tough my uncle couldn't even cut it. Most of the veg looked like it was prepped then reheated, gravy was probably best item we had..

Been for lunch today and the food and service was excellant

I brought my friend to this pub for a lunch time meal. She could not believe how lovely the setting was and did not realise old pubs that do meals still exist. The meal was lovely, piping hot and plentiful, could not leave it there and had the apple pie. Staff are also nice and very helpful. Yes would definitely go to the Milton Inn again in my village
