Fabulous. Just fabulous. Warm, friendly and with great food. The best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Having been trying to find a breakfast on route up the A90 we struck gold.

Just stopped in briefly for coffee and cake but the staff were so lovely and accommodating for us and our 6 month old daughter. The cakes were really nice but the welcome and the atmosphere is what makes this place stand out 🙂

Had lunch here, the chicken and mushroom soup with the cheese scone was amazing so tasty and very very filling. Followed by the fish and chips with added scampi which made for a huge portion of food that looked amazing when it arrived, however I was so disappointed with it, the fish still had some scales on it which was very off putting and unpleasant. The batter was so thick and uncooked in parts that I couldn't eat it. The chips and scampi were lovely though, I was glad I added them. The other half had the macaroni which looked amazing and he said tasted great.

We had breakfast mine was good but my wife's poached eggs were a bit hard for her liking

This is a lovely place for lunch. It has something for everyone - small bites if you don't want anything too big. I also liked that they kept those with dogs in the separate area from those without.

Lovely breakfast - eggs benedict. Order taken, coffees served and food arrived shortly afterwards. Excellent service from the staff. We went as soon as they opened at 10am, however I recommend you book if going later.

We stopped off here for a late breakfast and we were not disappointed. Lovely food and service. Bacon, sausages, etc were cooked well and were not greasy in any way. Plenty of car parking outside. Handy spot just off the dual carriageway for anyone driving past.

Made the effort to fit us in on at a busy lunchtime. Excellent Mac and Cheese. Dog friendly. Friendly, helpful service. Often stop off on our way south and not been disappointed yet. Warmly recommend.

We booked for party of 13 adults and 3 kids for a 70th birthday. We informed them that 1 adults were vegan and they reassured us that there would be an option. 1 weeks before they asked family to preorder and again my mother reminded them one adult was vegan and there wasn’t an option on menu to choose. Again!! Told there would be an option. The day arrived and the waitress come up to me and offered me a salad with mixed salad leaves , red onions , tomatoes walnuts and strawberries with chutney. It’s not exactly summer and still feels like winter rather than spring. I am furious that the chief gave zero thought into preparing a dish. How easy would it have been to make the soup vegan that day or make a vegetable curry or pasta dish. Poor poor customer service and will not be back!!!

No atmosphere asked if we'd booked (it was 11 o'clock in the morning) the place was empty,told to wait till she'd ask if we could have a table only went in for coffee a tea and a roll each girl came and took our order not a smile or even asked if everything was okay not be going back.

Very disapointed with size of cakes. The millionaires shortbread had been halved, but price was just the same. Profiteering, disgusting.

Organized to meet for lunch, one of us with a dog - decided to reserve a table just in case, but we would have been ok just turning up. I had a soup and sandwich combo which was really tasty. My friend had a Caeser salad and thought it was one of the best she had had out. Friendly staff, prompt service and great quality.

Had the most delicious Chicken Caesar Salad for lunch. Husband had the Cajun Sweet Potato soup with an open sandwich, he loved both. Then we both finished off with a fruit scone, which was also delicious. The coffee was good too. Best bit was, they're dog friendly, so my pooch didn't have to stay in the car. Lastly the service was good, which is also important. The staff seemed friendly & glad to be there. We will definitely be back. Christmas lunch today!! Absolutely fantastic. 10 of us all delighted with our food. Thank you. 😊 Been in twice more since Christmas time & 5 stars both times. This is one of the nicest places in the area! Still loving The Mill. It's a regular haunt now when we're hungry!

Brilliant service and excellent food. You must book as it's does get busy, wear a jumper as it does get a little bit chilly until everyone arrives. Highly recommended

Stopped off enroute to Lossiemouth, we hadn’t booked brought the pooch in the girl was more than happy to accommodate us. No Vegan option on the menu but they went out of their to make a beautiful salad and I had the fish cake amazing ! Would definitely go back again😁

Great experience and a good selection of gluten free options. I had the (gf) bruscetta and (gf) carrot cake. Both were good, but the carrot cake was especially good.

Warm reception, spacious, comfy, modern and great food. Excellent service, our hot food arrived 5 minutes after we ordered. Relaxed atmosphere. The best cafes are always found out of the town centre, case in point The Mill.

I go to The mill just for the Cullen skink it's fantastic. Coffee was good as well. Only critism following my last visit was the tiny malteser slice I was given. Definetly not worth £2.80 Got it replaced no issues but the staff member should have realised. Some people would not speak up and be left with a bad impression of the place.

We visited here for coffee and cake when in the area. One half of the place is dog friendly and the lady who greeted us couldn't have been any more accommodating. It does get busy so would advise booking ahead. Lovely coffee, cakes, ice creams etc and a lovely setting. Highly recommend.

This is our favorite breakfast spot in Forfar. Always friendly, consistently great and fresh food and lovely views into the hills. When my mother-in-law, who had Alzheimer’s, would wander in here (she had been going for many years prior to diagnosis) they always treated her with utmost kindness and watched out for her. Truly the best people. Can’t recommend enough.

I only popped in to get a cappuccino to take out.... Lovely staff and did have a look at the breakfast menu which all sounded delicious.....Alot of people in for breakfast and coffee so was a lovely atmosphere.... Definitely recommend this place.

We stayed at the static caravan park behind the Mill and was told it closed at 4.00pm. Therefore we made sure we arrived at 3.30 pm on a Sunday to ensure we had enough time to be seated and to place an order. It was extremely disappointing to be told that the kitchen was closed and no orders were being taken. VERY POOR SERVICE INDEED

Great for lunch out and a catch up with friends. Lovely sitting in the middle section and there was a covered outdoor section which would have been lovely on the day we went. Soup and sandwich deal very good and excellent food.

Great place to meet friends and family for coffee or lunch.

Average food, waffles are brought in and definitely taste like it, wee squirt of maple syrup all around the plate rather than trying to cover up for the waffle. Hollandaise sauce was very lemony and not nicely balanced. Muffins and poached eggs were ok. Coffee was pleasant but don't think we'll be back.
