I've been for a meal and been to the buffet. Loved the food. Staff are friendly. Definitely recommend 👌

I stayed in Forfar for work, the hotel restaurant was abysmal, so I took to wandering and discovered Jeet. It's an authentic Indian restaurant. With great food and a friendly service. I was in Forfar for two nights and came for my evening meal both nights. Wonderful, wish it was my local.

My friend and I had a meal here last night and can’t recommend it highly enough. Friends had recommended this restaurant to us and it’s didn’t disappoint. I had passanda chicken and my friend had the butter chicken. It was cooked to perfection. The peshwari naan was AMAZING. We will be back.

Visiting from Australia, had unforgettable evening at Jeet.Greeted with warm welcome and completed with amazing food and hospitality. Enjoyed the Masbangla and Royal Chicken and ended with Kulfi. Definitely will come back when visit again.

Excellent food and service. Will definitely be back. Will also be making a point of trying the buffet. Can't recommend Jeet highly enough.

Turned away from a few restaurants that were no longer serving because we arrived in town at 7:40 p.m., we came across this one, and so much the better! Very friendly welcome and excellent cuisine.

Had take away before from here hit or A miss on A Saturday night but tonight Sunday 28/7/24 amazing 2 x chicken tikka plus nan bread chicken was so tender new chief ? Great 9/ 10

Amazing food catered for my mum’s 70th birthday party. Everything was delicious so authentic and they were very helpful every step of the way. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic meal, really couldn't fault it, only issue is the time you wait for meal, unfortunately the takeaway customer has priority over the sitting in customer, you can wait over an hour to get your food.

Absolutely brilliant. Lovely surroundings, lovely staff, fantastic food and all that is reasonably priced. Who could ask for more?

We ordered 4 people takeaway 2 were quite good but the 2 mixed tandoori grill which was expensive was mostly inedible we could have soled our boots with the lamb

Best curry we’ve all had in ages. I tried the village curry, all the menu said was it was a recipe from the chef’s home village, and it was delicious. Great service, delicious food and reasonable prices. If we weren’t on holiday here we’d definitely be back! Thanks so much 🫶

Unfortunately, Jeet has gone downhill recently. Ordered a take-out online and given a time slot of 18.15. Got there on time, but the order hadn't been put through to the kitchen. Waited 40mins whilst they got my order ready. The restaurant itself wasn't that busy. Another customer who arrived around 20mins after me waited only 10mins before his food was ready. An apology from one of the team was rather lame. When I got home, the food was warm at best. I couldn't be bothered contacting them to complain. Given the tentative apology when I was leaving I doubt they would have been interested. I have used Jeet for take-out and eating in since moving to Forfar 2 1/2 yes ago and unfortunately have had to wait for take-out but not 40mins after my time slot. I won't use Jeet in future, there are other restaurants in Forfar just as good. I'm sure the loss of one customer won't phase them given the laisefair attitude.

Ordered a collection. We fancied trying this place that's 14 miles away but definitely won't be going back. Our order over £40 was going well until I got home and discovered NO sauce with the main Tandoori mixed grill with pilau rice and the Kingprawn was just the tail end of one prawn. My partner called and they said "next time they will give us a free sauce"🤣 not free when we paid for something we didn't get in the 1st place🤔 My partner went on about how it ruined 1 of the main meals which it did but basically then said will give you poppadoms free next time🤣🤣🤣 My partner didn't really enjoy her Danshak curry either but was probably put off after her phoning to complain. So all in all not good and won't be back and definitely wouldn't recommend.

Was cold when it arrived. Suspected food poisoning from chicken dish. My wife was sick 2 hours after eating it Also cauliflower dish looked like it had a rotten bit on it.

Ordered a takeaway and it took over 2 hours to arrive. As an apology we were told it would include some extra food (poppadoms and chutney) that we chose over the phone - those were missing . Food was meant to be mild in one dish and medium in the other but they were both very hot. Disappointing.

Once seated we were cordially greeted by a young well presented lad, took our drink order with a smile, great start! As a party of four he helped explain the menu & made suggestions of the best dishes. Portions are enormous, good value & flavoursome without being too spicy! I would say this is the go to place to eat in Forfar even higher rated than a The Stag! Only improvement to be made, would be bring back the Golden Dragon Christmas lantern decorations! I was so good my wife left her first ever tip!

From the moment we walked in the service was great, the lady behind the counter gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our table. It was quiet but it was early on a Sunday evening. The food was great, poppadoms and accompaniments first, the two lime pickles were delicious, there was a red onion relish and mango chutney which were also good. I had Chicken Pasanda I can't remember the name of my partners curry but both had great flavour. The restaurant was clean, well presented and the staff were very attentive.

We had a lovely meal served by very nice staff. The restaurant is laid out very nice with lots of space between the tables. It was just a pity to see the place so under used on a Friday evening. The staff were standing around waiting for something to do. The takeaway business seemed busy. Highly recommended.

Ordered at 18.40 had to call restaurant to ask where the order was at 20.20! Food arrived after within 5 mins of calling . Food was hot enough but far too long of a wait .

Nice layout, courteous and attentive staff. One of our group of 4 received the wrong food, and another (an experienced eater of spicy food) received a Madras which was simply too hot to eat

Made a booking for 2 for the tea time, 3 course meal easily. Staff great, pleasant and were there when you needed you but left you to your conversation. I'm Vegan and made some choices and the man taking the order made me aware that a choice I made wasn't Vegan and recommended an alternative which was excellent. Food was amazing. They do takeaways too. Will be back again

The forfar fish (sea bass) is fab. King prawns are always large... Bonus!. We can be a picky bunch and they staff are always accommodating and very attentive. Tikka masala and Thali are always a great choice along with any of this fish dishes and naans are fresh and tasty. The House red is fine, basic. They have kingfisher larger on draft also and this is fine, better than the likes of Tennant's but this is coming from a wine drinker so...

We had a great Indian here at Jeet. The service was on point. The venue is spacious. The menu is extensive with lots of options you wouldn’t usually get at other Indians. For starters my wife got haggis pakora and I went with this meat dish which I can’t remember the name of but it was nice. The haggis was nice but I prefer it crisper on the outside. The starters came with salad which didn’t look very appetising but we aren’t massive salad lovers anyway. I went with the chef’s recommendation for main which was a selection of 4 different curry’s (tapas style) which came of rice and chapati. These were all delicious. The lamb and chickpea curry was my favourite. My wife went with the lamb Pasanda which she loved! We also ordered garlic naan as a side. The naan was good, although I’ve certainly had nicer. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and evening at Jeet.

Felt exceptionally lucky randomly choosing Jeet for a stop on drive down from Aberdeenshire to North Berwick. What a great find, lovely people, prompt service and wonderful fresh food. We will stopping again.

A true cilinary delight in the heart of Forfar. Food is well prepared and tasty . I have tried the special byriani and the exceptional meat Thali which is a great cross section of the curries available one for the bigger appetite. Staff are always attentive and polite. Definitely worth a visit.

We were here last night and had an excellent meal, the staff were very attentive , the portions sizes were very large. I am in a wheelchair but this didn't faze the staff at all and assisted us perfectly

Came here the other night for tea and it was fantastic! The people were absolutely lovely, the food was amazing, very reasonably priced and got to us quickly. New favourite for sure.

The Best Indian food around Dundee

1 hour 35 minutes wait for our food. So busy tending to the take away custom it forgot to serve us .... and when it did.... very mixed reviews. Keema bhuna good and the prawn korai absolutely dismal. Bread good, atmosphere grim, spartan and charmless. Service mediocre

Ordered a takeaway for my son's birthday, the best meal we have had in a long time, food excellent, service brilliant we will definitely order again. I had chicken Biryani my son had chicken vindaloo,we had Haggis pakora to start which was amazing.

Popped over to Forfar For a change of scenery with the family and looked in here for lunch on passing. Can honestly say the food was incredible along with excellent service! We will be back on a regular visit for sure ! :)

Went here this evening for my birthday, lovely relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff who made the COVID rules easy to go through and put us at ease. Chicken balti was amazing and my other half enjoyed the spicy chicken tikka masala. Definitely be back when we're in Forfar again. Recommend it for those wishing a relaxed meal.

We have just had a lovely evening at Jeet. The staff and owners were friendly and attentive from outset. . The ambience in the restaurant warm and welcoming. This is a new business in Forfar and we wish them every success. The food was excellent and the menu extensive, with plenty of choice, and vegetarian options too, at a reasonable price. We own a holiday home in Forfar and are more than happy to recommend Jeet to our visitors. Well done and thank you.

Having eaten Bangladeshi food since the Lahore opened in the Nethergate Dundee in 1970, I have experienced many different versions of "Indian" food. Tonights first visit to Jeet was a real pleasure. Service was good, prices reasonable but the quality of the food was superb. We booked our next visit before leaving!

This has recently opened as an Indian restaurant that had been a Chinese one for many years. I was greeted as I walked in and shown to a table quickly. The place is very clean and tidy with pleasant background music playing. The menu is quite extensive and reasonably priced, on a par with similar restaurants. The waiters were attentive and my meal arrived fairly quickly. Difficult to judge whether this is the norm as, sadly, the place was not busy but hopefully it does as people realise that you can get a lovely meal. I had the Lamb Biryani, which was delicious and a very good portion size, I also had a naan bread to accompany. Finished off with a cup of coffee which was nice and strong I thoroughly recommend here and will definitely be back
