A delicious breakfast with friendly staff - we used to visit the cafe when it was in Trefin, excited to see it relocated to St Davids. Great choices, including vegetarian options. As a family we had the breakfast, pancakes with bacon and syrup, a sausage sandwich and salmon with scrambled eggs. Good selection of drinks and a very clean toilet. We'll be back!

We found this lovely place on a day trip to St David’s. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we were particularly impressed to note how well they treated an elderly gentleman, Robert, who was clearly a regular. They were attentive and kind, the service was prompt, and the food was good & well priced. If we visit the area again, we will definitely go back to The Mill.

We arrived at 6pm for an evening meal and were welcomed by very friendly staff, We have frequented the Mill cafe on many occasions during the day but the lovely touches made it feel more like a restaurant. The quality of the food and presentation was extremely high end but with affordable pricing. An absolute must to visit in the evening. Essential to book due to its popularity. A fabulous evening - thank you James and all the staff.

We happened upon The Mill while visiting St David's for the first time. We dropped in just to have a bowl of soup and ended up having probably one of the nicest lunches in a long time. Letting us take our time to properly study the menu before finally deciding, a delightful member of staff took our order of Avocado on toast. This was not just a case of one triangle of toast and half an avocado smashed on to it. It was beautifully presented with a generous amount of well seasoned, slightly spicy avocado balanced on an equally generous amount of toast. The entire meal was topped off by grilled tomatoes on the vine. It was absolutely delicious. We thoroughly recommend The Mill, it's a small enterprise, run by a group of enthusiastic young people and it thoroughly deserves to do well.

We ate here on consecutive days and both meals were outstanding. The Sunday Lunch was superb, good quality meat and fresh vegetables, with the best Yorkshire pudding. The cooked breakfast was if anything even better, in particular the Welsh breakfast with cockles and laverbread oatcake. Even on a Monday in mid December the cafe was busy, which is a tribute to its quality. Likewise for Sunday lunch where booking looks essential. And not forgetting the staff who were very efficient and friendly.

What delicious food! I had the smashed avo on toast, and being a bit of a fussy egg-eater, swapped out the poached egg for a well-done fried egg. Just the right amount of chilli, and the roasted baby vine tomatoes complemented the dish well. My partner had the full Welsh breakfast, and was delighted to see cockles in the combo. Our lattes were hot, frothy and rich too.

Been coming to the Mill for many years, first in Trefin and now in St Davids. The food remains the same, breakfasts very good and good value. Not a fan of the premises at all, kinda claustrophobic and the times we have been in recently, we have really missed the lady that was always there when it was in Trefin, always a warm welcome. More recently we've been met with surly scowls after being largely ignored while they chat between themselves. A real shame as there are many places in St Davids that offer just as good breakfasts.

Great little local pub serving quality LOCAL produce. I had 3 pints of local ale which were all on point. For my meal I had Faggots which were simply fantastic, beautiful flavour - not herby or strong at all like some. I was pleasantly surprised as I was complementing them it transpired the butcher was actually in the pub at the same time. This is simply a must if you want to dine local and make a difference to a local economy

During our stay at Grove of Narbeth, the highlight of the visit was the seven course taster experience at the Fernery. After being warmly welcomed by Luke, offered drinks, we were seated in the plush restaurant, and the delights followed. The dishes, the craftsmanship, the ingredients (the chef is obviously a genius), the enthusiasm from all the staff describing each dish, their sommelier Cathryn's expert choices and advice - was about as perfect as any taster experience we've enjoyed. Each course was presented beautifully, the choice of ingredients varied in a way that wasn't at all repetitive. The "Grove Vegetables" following fresh breads was immediately impactful with freshness and wonderful kale sauce with hints of seaweed. For "The Love of the Sea" with lobster on a tomato base again fresh, light and so tasty - as well as beautiful. And on it went with Sea Bass and a Beef dish to die for. Just outstanding presentation and flavours. As we moved towards dessert we were presented with “Farmesan” a cheese a hard Welsh cheese that resembels Parmesan - aged for over 3 years. They aerate the cheese with cocoa butter and serve with a pepper sorbet and black olive. Just wow. And to finish "Hedgerows", a delightful dessert so multi-layered it's hard to describe. The overall flavour seemed to present Christmas and carrot cake on a bed of meringue. What's not to love? In conclusion, probably the finest taster menu we've ever had (and we've had quite a few). Mostly because of the menu, ingredients, execution, presentation and, of course, taste. But also because of the team - from the maitre d, to the sommelier, to the procession of smiling, enthusiastic waiters. Simply superb. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Excellent Sunday lunch. After trying many restaurants in pembrokshire this is by far the best Sunday lunch in the area we have had.
