Used to live in Peebles but now I am only there occasionally for work. I stopped by in the morning for a coffee and I absolutely loved it. Can honestly say best coffee ever. I adore coffee and this is the best. Lovely little picture on top of coffee (Halloween themed) this made my day. Excellent service and great prices. Will be back weekly☺️

We found this wee gem on a mid week visit to Peebles. The town was quite busy but thankfully we managed to get a table inside for two. The cafe is quite small and fills up quickly so this turned out a lucky break. The service was excellent and friendly, the coffee was also great and the Cinnamon buns delicious. In fact the selection of cakes was fab, making it difficult to choose. In a town of lots of coffee places this is well worth a visit.

in the centre of Peebles, this café does great coffee and has a limited range of cakes and pastries. Dog friendly and good service.

Lovely coffee (as well as choices of chai & matcha!) and friendly staff. Small selection of delicious-looking cakes too.

What a wonderful find this gorgeous little shop in Pebbles! Loved my cappuccino- nice and hot and served with a smile and a delicious cake. Very pleasant atmosphere in a cute town- highly recommend a visit.

Went for a cake and coffee with friends and my puppy. Received the most shocking customer service I’ve ever experienced. My puppy had a short cry when we first arrived due to a new environment and being a little scared. The young man serving was so rude - shaking his head, sighing, whispering under his breath in front of myself (he was actually swearing) and my friends. The young lady serving wasn’t much better - screwing up her face at me while literally taking my payment, also giving us the most awful looks, not a single smile. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a cafe and if I hadn’t already paid, I would have left. My puppy did not bother a single person in that cafe apart from the staff. After his little cry he sat asleep under the table the whole time we had our cake and drink. Please do not state dog friendly if this is how your staff are going to act - dogs are definitely not welcome. Horrible environment.

It was ok, the coffee isn’t as good as some other places nearby, served warm not hot and has a fruity undertone Small selection of pastries on offer but no other food so really just coffee Few tables and chairs but seems more like a grab and go coffee place The girl who was working was nice and friendly Don’t think it really has much to offer when there are so many other coffee shops here

This a lovely little speciality coffee shop. You cannot find any other speciality coffee shops around the borders that much, and that's why they are always so busy. Wonderfull coffee, great pastries and cakes. Good place to relax and have a chat.

I’ve heard so much about this coffee shop and everything has been positive - I’ve equally wanted to visit for a while but it’s always been so busy! But today I spotted seats free by the window - perfect for my 3 year old daughter who loves a babychino and to watch the busses and Lorrie’s going by. Was greeted by a nice chap who took my order. Everything was fine. Fast forward 20 mins later….. a guy (who works there) came from nowhere behind me and said “sorry can you keep the lid on that bsbychino please to stop spills” but she had spilled a little bit. I mean she’s 3? Really? My daughter likes to stir her babychino and drink some with her spoon. When he saw she had spilled some he said “oh ok…. Fine. Well that’s why we serve bsbychinos in the disposable cups with lids but ok” Do adults not spill drinks too no? I really feel sorry for anyone who does because it’s obvious that it’s absolutely not ok if you do spill anything. How bizarre… do you not wipe over after someone has been sitting there anyway? Totally baffling. What was looking like a lovely coffee shop with good coffee has been tainted for me now…. Its been a lesson to make sure I stick with the actual local Peebles coffee shops because we’ve been in them many of times and never once has there been an issue over a very small child spilling some milk. Pathetic.

This is exceptionally good coffee. It is brought green from Peru, roasted and delivered to order. The cakes and tray bakes are also very good. They serve sandwiches and will do take away too. A real gem

Sadly now seem to be closed. Unfortunately the Main Street of Jedburgh offers nothing in the way of dog friendly cafes... the only town in our trip across central Scotland to have that issue.

With its dark wood furnishings, including a very large gantry, and most of the wall space covered in framed rugby strips, photos etc, the public bar in the Black Swan could almost be described as dark and old fashioned. It can also feel cramped at times as everyone tends to shun the other bar (and rightly so - ‘cos it’s horrible). The public bar is a place where you have a decent chance of meeting some wee, unintelligible drunk bloke (or two) in the corner, but it is also a place where it is easy to strike up conversation with locals at the bar. In many ways the Swan is like a pub from the past and is pretty unique in Kelso. Perhaps that’s why we always come in whenever we visit the town. It is an ordinary, no frills, traditional Scottish pub with good service and good lager and good banter. It suits us perfectly well.

Great food indeed, very good quality friendly staff, only downside it did take a while. Ham hock starter was to die for and the steak was perfection. The dessert certainly hit the spot. Certainly what you need after a long day in the saddle.
