The Medieval Hall in Wiltshire

The Hall no está abierto al público, pero sí tienen funciones privadas. Tuvimos nuestra boda aquí. Los propietarios son amables y serviciales, y el Hall tiene una historia fascinante detrás. La catedral (que bien merece una visita en sí misma) crea un entorno precioso a medida que se dirige al vestíbulo, aunque no se puede ver desde la sala en sí. Los jardines de enfrente hicieron un telón de fondo precioso para nuestras fotos y el entorno escondido en Cathedral Close es muy tranquilo.

I attended a conference here. The venue is lovely and the facilities were good. the staff provided tea and coffee as part of the event and it made an atmospheric and very pleasant venue.

The Medieval hall was marked up as one of the places to visit while in Salisbury and my partner knows I love this sort of thing. When we actually found it we are to by a resident that 1. it is private property and we shouldn't be there, 2. you need to pre book a viewing and have tickets and 3. that it is more for functions than its obvious historical tourist attraction value, even if only open throughout the summer holiday season, say May, June, July and August, sorry but very disappointed.

We attended a celebration business luncheon at the hall. The setting was, of course, superb. The hall is steeped in history and was a joy to see. We were greeted warmly by the owners, who acted as hosts. The pre- lunch drinks were plentiful. the table setting was very pretty. The food was catered by the owner's preferred caterers, and was plentiful and of excellent variety and quantity. The wine with the meal was good. After the meal a paying bar was open and the prices were very very reasonable. There was a variety of traditional pub games to entertain those who wished to participate. I would love to book a function so that I can re-visit the hall.
