Ordered on the app for delivery. Confirmed by text. Waited 20 mins after allotted slot, called takeaway only to be told that they'd rejected the order. When asked why she said they didn't deliver in my area (two of my neighbours received delivery) and when pressed she said it was because they were busy. I had no notification of this so was left with a hungry family and no delivery. Unacceptable.

I’ve been using Mayflower for many years and the food is usually very good, albeit quite expensive, so when they started to offer their buy 10 meals and get the 11th free I was quite excited and it brings the price down by 10% overall. However, I have just phoned to place my 11th (free order) only to find out that it expired yesterday (after only 3 weeks) when it has taken me many months to get to this point and when I asked if there was any flexibility they just said that there was nothing they could do as the offer was from a web business. Obviously this is blatantly untrue as they could have offered a free meal from themselves, half price or at least some form of gesture of goodwill, but absolutely nothing !! I’ve spent literally £1000s at Mayflower over the years, but not a penny more after such disgraceful service and I think this is just a reflection of what an inflexible and money grabbing society we now live in. BEWARE OF THEIR OFFERS AND INFLEXIBILITY

This was our first ever take away from Mayflower, we ordered through "Just Eat" , although we had a message to say it was going to be delayed we were pleased when it arrived within 30 minutes of ordering! Both meals were delicious, big portions and piping hot, we will definitely be ordering again.

Food delivered ahead of schedule by friendly driver but very overcooked and dry, couldn’t eat much. What a shame.,

This place has changed hands and is not even a shadow of the restaurant it used to be. The restaurant is no longer there, it is take away only, Thee prices have risen by over 35% and the quality has dropped by at least double that. The food is bland and uninspiring and I think that most of it is delivered frozen and thawed rather than being cooked fresh from fresh ingredients. Never, ever again!!!!!

Ordered via Just Eat, pre ordered to ensure early delivery... received confirmation and order number to check phone 5 mins before due to see restaurant had cancelled... No courtesy call although they had my contact number!!! Thanks Mayflower!!!

Always had great food from this take away. The service is good and everything arrives piping hot and always quicker than quoted. It’s the best take away in town.

4 of us had takeaway from here on Thursday night before Xmas. The special curry was awful with some kind of meat that was inedible. The other dishes seemed ok but nothing special and left a very dry mouth after the food (too mush MSG or salt perhaps?). We have eaten from here before and it was ok so a bit disappointed. Perhaps better choices in Irthlingborough although you might have to collect it rather than get a delivery from this restaurant.

Great food, fast delivery but hong kong sweet and sour wasn't hong kong style, was large pieces of chicken sliced through in a sweet and sour sauce, but still tasty.

Ordered from here a few times now and the food is always delicious and not swimming in grease. Delivery drivers are always polite and on time. Only once did I order and they called to cancel our order because they where to busy.

We had a set meal for 2 as we hadn't used this restaurant before. The food was excellent and delivered early. The only reason I haven't given outstanding across the board is that we asked for some chopsticks on the order, but it was presumably not seen. Other than that, all round excellent and we would order from them again.

Not that great unfortunately, I ordered using just eat for ease really but this Chinese wasn't anywhere near as good as our local, the delivery time was long 50 mins and cost £3, the fried rice and chicken tasted boiled rather than fried, the chow mein was all sauce and hardly any meat or prawns, , drinks delivered warm and it was all rather expensive £7 average dish the order for 2 meals was nearly £25, I felt ripped off to be honest, they didn't even through in a bag of prawn crackers or spring rolls like our usual does, I wouldn't use again sorry

Food was brilliant the last time I used them however I've gone to use them now (28.5.17) and won't be using them based on just looking at the prices ! The new ownership have added a £3 delivery charge and upped prices on every item by a stupid amount!! Special fried rice was £5.50 now £6.60 , crispy shredded beef was £5.80 now £7 , Kung po chilli chicken now £6.70 was £5.10 !! Will not be using again based on these extortionate price rises !! This is a shame as we were regular customers !

6 of us ordered a delivery which arrived in less time than quoted and was piping hot. We have found many take always don't have enough sauce with the meals and way too much msg. However it was refreshing to have Chinese like I remember from 20 years ago with plenty of tasty sauce and not so salty that I have to get up in the middle of the night to drink a gallon of water! They do dim sum too so for me fantastic.

Awful, waited half hour longer than the expected time, when the food come, it was cold and had clearly been sitting around for ages because it was all dry. The portions was tiny. Barely no food. Paid £33 for childs portion, of low quality food.

We ordered our delivery at 8:11pm and was told the restaurant had added on an extra 30 mins. This new delivery time of 9:20pm came and went and our food eventually arrived at 10:10pm. The food was really good went it actually got here but the lateness was disappointing and nothing was offered in the way of an apology.

Purchased a Set menu for 2. Everything was cooked perfectly. Spot on 22.22pm delivery time.

We were missing part of the order namely a portion of ribs and when we contacted the restaurant they were extremely rude and were adamant they had sent the item! I was the one sitting at my dinig table without the said item however the restaurant was rude and insistent we had received it ... they would not offer a discount nor take it off our next order .... such a shame as the food is good but will not tolerate being spoken to by a restaurant like that!

We ordered a chicken chow mein and it barely had any chicken in it... The chips were soggy too, like they'd been sitting around a long time. Disappointing as our last order from the Mayflower was excellent.

Food was good beef is nice and not all fatty like a lot of places, egg fried rice was not really greasy and tasted nice 👍🏻 restaurant met my request of To-Peng beef instead of chicken which was good, only bad thing was the chips being under cooked and had to be thrown away but overall good was very good :) thanks
