The Mayflower in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Waited till I had a notification that my food was ready, when i turned up for collection I had to wait for them to cook my food from scratch! Also I picked up a menu only to find that I paid 20% more through this Just Eat app than I would have if I had just ordered at the establishment itself. The food tasted nice though…I suppose.

Delicious garlic sauce with a fiery kick to it,great accompaniment to soft noodles and crispy chips. Succulent prawns in a traditional authentic curry sauce. An excellent culinary experience. Definitely recommend to family and friends for all occasions.

Pleasant tasting curry,nicely cooked noodles and rice. Chicken was succulent and tender to eat. Enjoyed by all the family. Definitely recommend to try whatever the occasion.

I think they over estimated the time as they are usually busy so I appreciate that, saves me checking every so often. A pleasant surprised when it arrives earlier then.

Love the recommended mains menu which has items I can't fins elsewhere. Their bbq sauce is my favourite 😍

It's not even worthy of a 1 star the chips tasted like the smell of sweaty feet an were like cardboard my rice was boiled an not fried. The ribs were practically all bone meat best part about it all was the Prawn crackers

Disappointed with the spare ribs. More meat on a butcher's pencil & the curry sauce, what happened to it? Could strip paint with it. Won't be ordering again

Food wasn't the best. Boiled rice was not completely cooked and nothing tasted fantastic very bland and tasteless. Nor.ally very good but very disappointed

If I could give negative stars I would. The food was AWFUL, sweet & sour sauce was not balanced and tasted bad, the 'mixed chowmein' looked and tasted to only have chicken in it, was also bland. The king prawn and cashew nut meal was so spicy my wife could not eat it (no mention of it being spicy on the menu), also had very little nuts, the bbq ribs were not bbq, rather dry and over cooked. The Chips were also dry and awful. Crispy beef was beyond crispy and it was like we were eating charcoal. Over all everything tasted exactly the same with the exception of the prawns. Also did not get the chop sticks we asked for. Huge waste of money and we all went to bed hungry.

King Prawn balls somehow turned into chicken balls on delivery? How is that possible to get confused? So just chucked them in the bin as didnt want chicken.

I was so disappointed with my order from Mayflower. I had ordered satay chicken thinking it was on a stick with the peanut butter sauce but instead, I had some type of chicken wing? The experience on the phone was difficult because it was very aggressive and loud. Last of all, the rice and noodles were tasteless, I could not enjoy my Chinese at all which I was disappointed about. Would not order from here again :(

Food was hot and very tasty! Would definitely recommend and would use again! Free prawn crackers and mini spring rolls were a bonus!

If i could leave no stars i would. This is the worse chinese i have ever eaten. My pancake roll was soggy, chicken balls also soggy, the sauce very vinegary, and the crispy beef was crispy but the taste was disgusting. It was over 2 hours late and after phoning 3 times we had a free can of coke. The only plus side the food was hot but unedible . I will certainly not order from here again

Really poor service, delivery was over 2hrs and food was ice cold. When we called for the 4th time to see we’re was take away the member of staff was just silent and could not even apologize. Would never recommend

We put our order in at 5.30 so we’d be first for delivery but after several messages to say it’s delayed and two phone calls to the shop we finally received it at 8.10 😳 I wouldn’t usually mind but it’s my birthday and we had guests waiting. Stressed me out on a day that’s supposed to be happy 😔

Usually great service but not today kept telling me the delivery driver was looking for somewhere to park when the food hasn’t even left the shop saying free poppadom I don’t want free poppadom I just wanted to know where my food was 😭

The egg in the rice was a little burnt and the sweet&sour chicken Hong Kong style was burnt hard to chew.. but the chips were fine and the sauces where good

Ordered 2 beef curry's and they came back as chicken curry's and my mother can't eat chicken due health reasons so She could only eat the egg fried rice which was well over cooked and clumpy, chips were hard, only reason that I gave a 2 star is because the other 2 items the chicken nuggets and chicken balls were cooked okay but will not be ordering again.

Delivery drivers were very polite, the food was piping hot when delivered, the food was stunning and very tasty, we really enjoyed our meals and will definitely be ordering from here again

Not ordered from here in a few months, and suspect it'll be a lot longer before we risk it again. Chow mein wasn't so much fried as burned at the stake for witchcraft. Chop suey rolls were more marinated in oil than cooked in it, and whilst we appreciate the efforts to help with our weight, we'd have preferred the drinks order was swapped from regular coke to coke zero, rather than the zero coke we actually received (or in fact, didnt). I appreciate that the delivery guys 9 Yr old wants to help his dad, but its hard to tell a kid that there's stuff missing from your order when they can only respond with "theres nothing else in the bag, so i dunno" I don't know if its a change in management, change of chef, or if the kitchen has been taken over by squirrels, but the food was so far below the quality we used to enjoy and recommend to people, we won't be back in a hurry.

Amazing tasty food, delivered hot and on time. Just found the delivery charge slightly high. Worked in food for the last 6 years, and would justify a £3 delivery charge, but £5 is slightly on the high side. But 5* all round.

Yuck. Go elsewhere. There are good Chineses in the area no need to endure this.

Chicken balls batter soggy, rice cold .curry sauce cold.i rang and pointed out food late and disappointed as usually very good.Id not have left this review had the manager been so blase regarding my dissatisfaction. All she said was okay , alright.Not a problem as wont be ordering again .

Terrible service good was cold and 2 hrs late phoned 6 times and every time I was told on its way. then the If i time I called I was told that it would be there whenn driver turns up and they put the phone down on me.

First time ordering, food was delicious and piping hot on arrival. my only complaint is.. there was more onion than chicken in the chow mein. Other than that it was lovely! :)

Absolutely disappointing! Ordered chicken omelettes came 1hour and a half late and I honestly think they sent me scrambled eggs. Don’t understand a word you say then pass the phone to a child as they understand a little better

Shocking delivery time. We pre ordered to ensure it would be on time as it was a treat for my fiancé’s ‘post deployment’ meal. We had to call three times to find our food, and every time it was ‘out with the delivery guy’. We called at 15 minutes late, 45 minutes and late and 55 minutes late. F*£king ridiculous

Absolutely delicious food, piping hot, so hot I had to use a tea towel to dish it out! Good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Delivery was very quick and the delivery lady was very polite. Will definitely order again.

Mayflower is usually my preferred Chinese-style takeaway but the food last night was horrendous (I didn't eat the vast majority of it) and the restaurant left items off our order.

Absolutely terrible! Food was 2 hours late, arrived cold and from the looks of things they packaged it with a hammer and chisel. Worst Chinese restaurant in the Rhondda by a flying mile

Food was lovely as usual apart from the half chicken which was dry. Apart from that it was lovely.

Delivery was an hour late. The food arrived warm but was only ok. The kids were starving by the time it arrived.

We didnt worry about the food being 10 mins late. Things happen. Food was awsome. Piping hot. Delivery guy was lovely.

Food was very well done and very dry, I nearly broke my tooth on a chip, order bbq and curry sauce and only the bbq arrived. The chips, rice and spring rolls were like they had been sat under a heat lamp for hours, nothing was freshly made. The curry sauce tasted more along the lines of an Indian curry sauce. I would never use again really was not use again

Was a little late but delivery guy called me and my house is kinda hard to find so it's to be expected. only Chinese around that does tofu so veggies have more variety and thier satay tofu is always sooooo good!
