Brilliant selection of beers, lagers, gin and malts (naturally). Service was top quality. Warm fire and friendly atmosphere from the locals.

Nice pub but my son got kicked out for not being 18 this is completely fine though as it’s just the law very nice place however would come again without my son

Spent a couple of hours there on New Years Eve with my partner. Even though busy the service was excellent especially from Stacy who is a true pro 😁👌

I never expected to see so many gins! Such a lovely pub with such a large selection of drinks. The staff were really lovely and it had such a friendly atmosphere. A particular mention for the young lady behind the bar who gave us some great local recommendations that made our holiday even better!

Fantastic pub in Kirkcudbright. Very sociable and friendly. Great beers on tap and an even more impressive selection of gins! Staff are very knowledgeable as well and happy to suggest different gins / mixers. Already looking forward to returning!

Great local pub with a wide selection of lagers and beers. Scottish Gin Bar of the year (if Gin is your thing - not mine). No food served (apart from bar snacks) and no under 18's, so a great place for a quiet drink or 2. Small beer garden/smoking area at the rear.

Just visiting the town for the day, couldn’t of ended up in a nicer pub, staff were amazingly friendly and looked after our dogs very well with water and treats, massive gin selection and nice beer garden, couldn’t recommend enough

Joined the Thursday night quiz, sat with some friendly locals, enjoyed some amazing Galloway Stout and had a great time. Ended the evening with a Haggis Gin and Turnip tonic! One of over a 100 gins! I can't wait for next visit

The Masonic is a great bar. Good selection of beers, whisky and a huge selection of gins. Staff are good and the atmosphere and surroundings make it a nice place to go for a drink. No loud music which is a real benefit.

Cracking wet led pub, friendly and welcoming staff and a reasonably priced round. No worries about not being a local here for it seems everyone was welcomed just the same. A game of pool for only 50p!

Lovely, friendly local pub. Staff always helpful and pleasant. Good range of lagers, some of the more unusual, like Estrella Galicia and Staropramen, they also always has at least one cask bitter on. Very dog friendly.

Fantastic pub, caters for young & old patrons. A massive selection of Gin & also some real ales on tap. The owners are very friendly & welcoming. The atmosphere has a perfect balance for all 10/10

Just popped in for a drink before heading home. Located down what feels like a back road near Kirkcudbrght town centre, at night from the outside, it doesn't look like much, but inside it was busy and had a good atmosphere. The place looks to have had a refit recently so feels modern whilst keeping a traditional feel. We are not Gin drinkers but this is the place to come if you are , there were a lot to choose from.

This is a jewel of a place, really friendly and a great selection of beer. Dog friendly, if you want to spend time in Kirkcudbright then you couldn’t go wrong.

Lovely little pub and friendly staff. One thing to point out is also the cleanliness of the toilets and the fact they are checked every hour.

Very friendly pub, vast selection of gins, unfortunately only one real ale on (which was very pleasant) when we visited. May have caught them between deliveries.

My hysband saw an eldererly lady in distress needing the toilet on her way to the loo with a youger man, my husband pointed to the toilet door, to which the man can't call him a gentleman. The man responded with I know where the toilet is its my **cking house, he escorted the very destraught lady into the private residence, very disappointed as the Landlady is absolutely lovely as is the pub but will not be coming back which is a real shame. The star rating would have been far better if this confrontation hadnt happened

We've come to kirkcudbright for a few nights. Went here the first night and the locals were amazing. Although the bar staff were amazing, didn't think much of it. Went today and the landlady recognised us and even the drinks we wanted. Amazing service from her and watching her, she clearly loves her job and the locals, but the way she was with us she clearly loves visitors. What a lovely place. I'll definitely come back. The venue gets a 10 out of ten, as does the amazing landlady! PS, If she reads this, this is why I wanted your name!

Great bar. Lovely smart interior and friendly staff. From the outside, it looks like every other pub but don't be deceived. It's like a TARDIS. When you enter you immediately see that it is much bigger and smarter than expected. A wide range of drinks are all served with a smile I wish I'd gonr in earlier on my stay. I'll be back!

What a great pub, very friendly and a great choice of refreshments. Enjoyed a few real ales and then had a lovely local hills and harbour gin, they have over 200 gins to choose from! Will definately be visiting again when in the area.

Amazing place to visit if you're just stopping by or a local who can go regularly. The gin selection is especially incredible and the atmosphere is amazing. I highly recommend stopping by for one of their quiz nights or just a quiet drink in off-hours before it gets busy. Staff are also top notch with great reccomendations for drinks and always good to chat to.

OMG, I died and went to heaven. Awesome gin selection. Do ask for the gin menu. It's very detailed, explaining where each gin comes from, what the botanical are, and how it is served. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and can offer some great insights and suggestions. Hubby might be holidaying alone. I'm staying in the bar!!!!

Terrific range of gin and a menu detailing each one individually, giving details of origins, botanicals and best accompaniments. Some well known names and many stunning Scottish gins. Wonderful, friendly staff. Highly recommended. They also have an equally huge selection of whisky.

Good whiskey selection, friendly atmosphere

Recommended to us for a drink after dinner. Very popular and hence a bit noisy for us. But the beer was good - if you like gin, this place has the biggest selection I have ever seen! Several shelves were filled with gins from all over the place including at least one local one. They even had a non-alcoholic gin which, I was told, tasted like gin!!. Recommended if you don't mind a bit of noise.

Always a fab atmosphere in this pub, great that they've carried out a tasteful decor. The covid safety features inside are great, lovely array of drinks. One of my locals and the occasional game of pool makes it a favorite of mine,. Cheers
