The Garden Room in Dumfries & Galloway

One of the best little tea rooms I've been to. Coffee & delicious cake. The lady who owns it is lovely , very chatty. Added bonus, there is a selection of small antiques for sale. I went back the following day for 1 thing & bought 6 things as couldn't make my mind up . Lots of lovely things to browse through. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Rose,the owner,certainly blooms in The Garden Room.A very warm.wlcome to a quaint room filled with lovely,very reasonably priced, collectables,pottery jugs,pictures and books. Plus the added bonus of delicious home made cakes,coffe/tea,soft drinks to take out or enjoy in the pretty well kept sheltered garden under the old apple tree. The apple and walnut cake is superb,as is the carrot cake,macarroon cake and flapjacks. This is not a sit - in cafe but a wee hidden gem in Rockcliffe and a 'must visit'.Enjoy!

Beautiful quiet setting in back garden. Lovely flowers and view of the sea, add on friendly, helpful staff, coffee and excellent carrot cake, what more could you want, oh yes a short walk to the beach for a little stroll.

Can’t comment on the cake/coffee as tried 5 times to get a seat to no avail. Was in Rockcliffe for the week and tried over numerous days. A bit disappointing to walk in as a family of 4 to see one person taking up a table. Need to invest in a few separate tables of two.

Absolutely beautiful setting for a tea room. Lovely gardens, a beautiful little suntrap, behind a house with a wonderful collection of antiques inside. Nice selection of teas, coffees, soft drinks and fabulous home made cakes. Just wish they had a card reader for payment!

Lovely quaint little cottage where you can get a cake &a drink or even better if its closed they have a lovely little trolley with homemade cakes,biscuits & an assortment of cold drinks of which you serve yourself with .. Prices are provided & an honesty box for your payment on the tray .. Beautifully baked & absolutely delicous , so take some change ..
