I love the Pad Thai and the mango juice! I suggest getting the Pad Thai, the roasted duck, the chicken skewers, the paanang chicken and the salt and pepper squid. So yummy!!!👍😍

The interior is adorned with ornate wood-carved arches, high ceilings and native artifacts and adds to the vibes of the place. We had the following: Mixed Platter Starter - £14.95 Duck with Tamarind Sauce. - £14.90 Panang Curry - £11.90 Jasmine Rice - £3.50 The mixed platter was a mix of vegan gyozas, spring rolls, chicken sate, prawn on toast and steamed dumpling and honestly the selection was quite good as it comes with three different type of sauces you can dunk it in. The duck and curry was so good and it was just full of flavour and really hits the spot. You need to also try their refreshing thai iced which is just perfect to quench your thirst this spring. You should defo visit when you are in the area. I don't normally write a review, but I was so disappointed with the food at this restaurant, I had no choice. Sorry but I feel that this is not authentic Thai food and no pride is taken in delivering hot or fairly priced food. Very disappointed and will not be returning ever.

Nice location right next to Portobello market. Staff is friendly. Very good lunch meal deal. The food is fresh. I had drunken noodle with prawns which tasted good and I love how spicy it was. It came with the starter from your choice. I picked butterfly king prawn which was also very nice.

Fantastic place and superb value for money

Situated in the heart of Portobello Market, it is quite a big restaurant on the first floor of a building. Surprisingly bigger than what we anticipated. The interior, according to a friend was quite authentic and was lovely to look at. There seemed to be only two people working on the restaurant floor itself handling orders and they were very chillaxed. Quiet atmosphere… perhaps a little too quiet aha. But overall service was lovely As a first timer trying Thai food at a restaurant, I opted for their green curry. They were quite accommodating to lower the spice level for me, so that was nice. Creamy and coconut-y curry with the rice was filling. I can’t say about accuracy of tastes to the real deal, but this was quite good.

Entramos por casualidad al pasar por la entrada porque nos encara el Thai y nos llamó la atención su peculiar entrada. Menuda sorpresa cuando subimos; el ambiente maravilloso, la comida mejor aún, y la señora que nos atendió un 11/10. Sin duda merece la pena.

The lady who served us Saturday 28.October 2023 dinner was very friendly, the atmosphere in the restaurant was very “Thai”, and the deco also very thai. I think best Thai food I've had in London until i got sick after 30 minutes of eating until we left the restaurant back to hotel 2 hours later I went to toilet vomiting and having diarrhea. I vomited whole night until i flew back to Germany. In the airport I been many times in the toilet for vomiting until. Now I am in the hospital.

Worst restaurant in my entire life i have ever visited. Hygiene was zero, food was disgusting, the lady and the man there who run the restaurant live in it. It was the most unhygienic place i have been to in my life. Pleas please please do not go there.

Amidst a popular part of Notting Hill , this restaurant is located quite nicely and chefs do look Thai. Even though some people loved the food - understanding Thai food is a matter of knowing what good Thai food is about. I would rate the food here just average or slightly below. Absence of spicy flavours, Thai green curry almost more Sweet than spicy ,lack of bamboo and lemon leaves flavour , very tiny portions leave a Lot to be Improved and desired that almost charges for 1 person curry and rive 17 pounds. It's not the worst but average

Lovely restaurant on Portobello Road. Unfortunately easy to miss it as it is on the first floor. We only found this place because we specifically wanted Thai food and searched for places nearby. Lovely staff and amazing food.

Wow, an excellent surprise: we had a vegetarian pad Thai and a vegetarian red curry, which were the best since years, they took me back to Thailand in a flash. Nice relaxed atmosphère The service was very kind. My ginger tea was made with fresh ginger. Prices a very correct for the quality and quantity, I am a big eater and had enough. And the cheffe cook is a very modest smiling woman. ❤️ For this nice place, warmly recommended.

A bit overpriced, but the food was good. Needed a bit more spice generally and faster service to justify the prices.

The place was upstairs and relatively small. It was fairly empty at 1pm on a Saturday so I was a bit concerned. But then the food arrived. Wow! I ordered the satay as an appetizer. The peanut sauce that came with it was some of the best I have had. It was delicious. For my entree I asked if they would do choochee shrimp instead of the choochee salmon. They agreed and it was delicious. The shrimp were fresh and perfectly cooked. The best part was the sauce. Very flavorful. Absolutely delicious. Probably the best Thai food I’ve had in London.

Can not believe this is called Thai food. The amount of salt and sugar in this food was unbelievable. It was a rip-off!!!!! The starter was a plate with vegetarian and non vegetarian food.mixed together . We sent back the starter because was impossible to eat. So greasy ,salty and sweet. The Chef told us that is “the only way they can sell it to Europeans “. No spice at all. The worse food experience in London!!!

i ordered today for the first time, I'm sorry but the quality is really mediocre/bad. poulet au curry vert really bad, the sauce doesn't taste as the original, even waitrose has much better, old beans and not thai eggplants, no bambou, really bad. They don't have sticky rice. Tom kar and old prowns I couldn't eat and a too tick sauce.

Can't say what the food tastes like as it wasn't even delivered, just kept lying through their teeth and blaming Just Eat for not sending delivery people. Then after 2hrs plus put on their site it was delivered. But didn't seem to want to return my monies for the non delivery. which I have now put back into the hands of Just Eat.My initial reaction was these people are scammers, has anybody else had any problems with them I wonder?

Hemos estado yendo al mercado tailandés durante los últimos 19 años. Tiene una muy buena relación calidad-precio y se encuentra en una decoración tan cálida y exótica. Todos son muy amigables. Nos gusta llevar a nuestros visitantes franceses a cenar a Market Thai, ya que es un buen ejemplo de la diversidad de alimentos de Londres sin el alto precio y el brillo.

One of the less discovered places. But with great ambience and price. The interior is especially beautiful with wood carvings and 'old timey' decor. The food is good and the ambience great. Service is a bit slow, maybe because there's a lot of demand and the day I went, it was just 2 people managing the entire place. However, all was forgiven when the food came. You can get good deals there. Definitely recommended.

Ristorante thailandese scoperto per caso ed è stata una bella scoperta. Si trova al secondo piano si un edificio, quale si accede tramite un piccolo portoncino. Abbiamo mangiato bene ed abbiamo scelto una tra le portate indicate del menu pranzo (un antipasto ed una portata principale). Porzioni abbondanti e saporite.

Authentic Thai cooking at a very reasonable price. Great som tum (papaya salad) Tom yum soup and pad Thai. Worth a visit if you fancy Thai food and are in the area.

Came by here for dinner after the electric cinema. Service was super slow and communication was hard with the middle aged lady who served us. Customers who came in after is got served before us. Unfortunately she wouldn't stop talking, ruining my dinner with my husband. Didn't like my stir-fry noodles. Too much parkchoi/leafy like vegetables instead of noodles and meat. This may just be my preference.

Myself & two friends were in the area for a concert & walked passed this place so thought we would give it a go the was only 2 other groups when we arrived but by the time we left at 5.30 the place was full The food was fine I had Satay to start & Pad Mee for my mains very enjoyable friends had soup & green curry for mains which they were happy with The waitress made us feel welcome even thought she was rushed off her feet

I ate here yesterday and in night was very sick with food poisoning .. after some investigation I have seen that in 2018 the food hygiene rating was given 0 ... why are they still allowed to serve food .. strangely the next inspection was due to happen yesterday ! I will check the website again in a few weeks to see if this has been updated ... I am veggie and so can only presume me food was chopped on a dirty board or cooked in an unwashed wok ! Such a shame as I used to really enjoy it here and can not after my horrific experience through night ever eat here again.

We were staying in the local area and looking for a quick bite to eat.We booked around 4 pm for a 7:30 slot and they were able to accommodate us.The restaurant filled up quickly and we had a lovely meal. Had a pad Thai and jungle curry - everything just as you would expect!Nice setting and the staff were so lovely! Would recommend if looking for Thai that good value.

We were visiting the nearby Museum of Brands and wanted to find a low key place to have lunch afterwards in the busy Portobello Markets area.This place is reached up a flight of stairs and is on the first floor with large windows on two sides overlooking the bustling Portobello Road but above the noise and bustle. It was warm and the windows were open. There is plenty of space and it is a nice unassuming place to watch the world go by.We all opted for the £9.95 two course lunch menu (drinks extra), It is a limited a menu but suited our needs.We all ordered springs rolls for starter. I ordered Green Curry with jasmine rice. This was delicious with plenty of basil and not too spicy. The food was nicely presented as well with a relaxed and friendly service.A good pit stop for lunch.

Just off Portobello road and up some steps above a pub. The decor is good and the service was friendly.Still looking for a Thai restaurant that uses the correct ingredients. This one used common garden peas instead of pea aubergines in the green curry and it didn't use Thai Basil in the kapraow. Fortunately the green curry wasn't sweet. Not a bad experience but wouldn't go again.

The food is always good. As a family we go regularly and when we have meetings at our house, we always go there after. The staff know us and are very friendly.

I work nearby and have eaten here many times. The atmosphere and food are very good and the staff are always nice and cheerful. I prefer Market Thai over Thai Rice further up Portobello.

Tiene un gran ambiente, buena comida y buen servicio, que a veces puede ser lento. Soy un amante de la comida tailandesa y he visitado otros restaurantes en Londres, Manchester e incluso España. Para mí, Market Thai en Portobello Road está entre los mejores.

Relaxing place to eat, good food and service.

This is a restaurant in my neighbourhood. I even didn't know it existed until I looked for a place close to home to have a meal after I have been working all the day. I wish I have chosen something else. Actually, when we arrived, I really liked the ambient. It is from another time and has a certain charm. Food was not great, but it was acceptable. What was really a great disappointment was the bill that arrived. It was handwritten and I had a feeling it was wrongly calculated. I paid and wanted to check afterwards, but lady who served us, took the receipt off the table as soon as she received the money. I was sure something was wrong so I went to her and asked her for the receipt. She said she can't give it, but I can take photo of it (attached). Calculation was not correct, but I didn't want to create problems in front of other guests, so I decided to let her keep the money, but after this experience it's clear I will never return. I lost some money, but she has lost good costumers from her neighbourhood.

Buena comida, ya que los cinco de nosotros disfrutamos de nuestros entrantes y platos principales. Sin embargo, restar valor a la experiencia fue el servicio extremadamente lento. Tardamos 30 minutos en conseguir nuestro motor de arranque y al menos una hora más para nuestros platos principales. Esto fue después de preguntar cuándo vendría, varias veces. Go upstairs to this place, looks out over portabelo road, the food is well cooked and plentiful, you won't come out here hungry, staff and surroundings very pleasant, give it a go, reasonable prices as well

Vi gikk tilfeldig forbi og så at de hadde lunsjtilbud. Vi gikk for grønn curry. Helt ok, men manglet noe smak og vesentlige ingredienser. Når vi skulle betale fikk vi ikke lunsjtilbudet og de hadde servicegebyr på 12.5 %. Det tok lang tid fra vi kom til vi fikk bestille, og deretter lang tid før vi fikk maten. Helt ok, men anbefales ikke.

Esta fue una pequeña sorpresa para mí y para mis amigos. Hicimos una reserva, pero cuando llegamos éramos las únicas personas en el restaurante, lo cual nos preocupó un poco. . . A medida que avanzaba la noche, había más gente que venía, lo que era una buena señal. La comida era buena, todos la disfrutamos mucho. A un precio razonable.

Estábamos deseando comida tailandesa mientras estábamos en la zona del mercado de Portobello. Por suerte, encontré este restaurante llamado Thai Market. Se encuentra un poco al lado del cruce. Un poco aprensivo, subimos la lúgubre escalera hasta el piso superior. Cuando abrimos la puerta, fue una agradable sorpresa ver un lugar acogedor con arcos tallados de madera adornados y artefactos tailandeses.

Hermoso restaurante en el primer piso con muebles tradicionales tailandeses en esta parte fresca de la ciudad. Servicio amable y eficiente. Desafortunadamente, fue una noche sucia con lluvia torrencial y solo otra mesa estaba ocupada. Al alcanzar a un viejo amigo, apenas notamos la falta de ambiente. Aunque el personal era agradable, la comida podría haber sido mucho mejor.

Cheap and cheerful place. Decent food- not the best Thai ever. But not bad. Some of the curries are too sweet. Recommend the Tom yum noodle soup. The service is very friendly. But they only had 2 waitresses on a Saturday night with nearly every table full. So the service was slow. Food also took a while to come out, but I don't expect the kitchen is better staffed than the restaurant. Would probably do a take away next time. Could price higher and hire more staff.

Not only is this one of the best Thai meals I've ever had, it's one of the best meals I've had. The staff is wonderfully nice and the only thing better than them is the food they make. A delicious traditional Thai meal that left me completely satisfied. I highly recommend the Thai iced coffee too which was a subtle highlight of an already magnificent meal.

Very very ordinary and uninspiring. There are so many fabulous restaurants in London it’s a shame to waste time eating a mundane, talentless chef cooked meal. If you find yourself wandering down Portobello Road, go somewhere else

We just left this lovely restaurant recently re-opened and we weren’t disappointed. Do not go here if you are looking for a fast- food experience: you will need to wait but the wait is totally worth it! Great friendly service and super yummy real Thai dishes, great value for portions we will be back! Pictures speaks for themselves

One word to describe the food “Awesome” All the flavours were right on the mark with the two mains we had veggie Jungle curry and Druken noodles. Highly recommend and I will be revisiting!

Belle décoration, endroit vraiment chaleureux! Le restaurant se trouve en haut d'un escalier sans ascenseur. Nous mangeons relativement tôt à cause des enfants, du coup il n'y avait pas grand monde. Les plats sont succulents et les prix totalement corrects. On y est même retourné pour prendre des plats à emporter!

Hay un lugar agradable, con servicio rápido y amable pero por comida decepcionante. No está mal de ningún modo, pero escaso en el verdadero sabor y ponche que esperas de cocina tailandesa, especialmente cuando este no es un lugar económico (tampoco es caro, los precios sólo estándar).

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance as we were looking to eat Thai but at a different place which turned out to be a buffet. I said I’m not a big fan of buffets so we found this place instead.

Slow service, had Char Grilled Squid which came out cold, and “Tom Yam”Prawn soup totally flavourless and the Prawns just didn’t taste right at, stay well away

I was a bit worried by the entrance ,as it was a stairway up to the restaurant.there was just a chalkboard outside but as we entered the greet we got was lovely. We had fussy children with us but they did exactly what the kids wanted.

We were looking for somewhere relatively cheap and cheerful for three of us mid-week. Decided on £20 set menus - mixed starter plate to share, hot and sour chicken soup (delicious and lots of chicken), then shared three very tasty and varied mains with rice and Pak Choi noodles. Too much for us to eat in one sitting, so they very kindly packed up the leftovers for takeaway. Very attentive service.

Over the years we have visited this restaurant on a regular basis. It has been closed for more then a year in 2015/2016, but after reopening, we noticed that the food is still good and the prices are not to high. Especially the pork dishes are great. The service is good as well.

This Thai restaurant is nicely decorated, rustic table and chairs. The food is authentic thai. I have been there many times and had my birthday there once. The steamed fish is my favourite.

Went there last week. Should have guessed something wrong as there were only a few people in there on a Saturday nights. After 10 minutes of being there no one came to take our drinks order and when the waitress came I noticed she was dressed in a scruffy tracksuit and trainers(not a good look). Ordered and asked for everything to come as a main no starters. After 20 minutes rice and pad thai came. We waited and waited after 10 minutes no more food came, called another waitress who was also dressed in a scruffy tracksuit and trainers came and apologised and said the food was nearly ready. By now the food on the table was stone cold! So paid the bill for drinks and left. I used to go there years ago when it was a really good restaurant but sadly this is no longer the case.. Like I said AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Luckily the Spanish restaurant further up Portobello Road The Galicia came to the rescue and saved the evening by letting us order after time and we had an amazing Paella!

El plato de fideos tailandeses era enorme y delicioso. El ambiente es muy agradable y atractivo. Yo tenía un poco de difícil pedir debido a la barrera del idioma.
