Best take away in the area food always hot on collection very busy all the time tbf not surprised wish all take aways were as tasty. Limited to once a week treat or i would be a sumo size. 5*****

This is without a doubt the best takeaway ever. I would definitely recommend it as you will not be disappointed.

Tried this shop a few times now. King prawn with chilli & garlic was lovely. However for the love of god stay away from any of the deep friend dishes unless you want footed with a £200 dentist bill. Chicken in batter, sweet & sour chicken Hong Kong style & chilli salt & pepper chicken absolutely inedible. Rock solid you could throw them & put a window out. Chicken so overcooked dry, stringy & chewy. Chilli dish even though I asked for it mild was covered with an absolute ton of the hottest chilli flakes. No more chances off to try elsewhere.

By far the best Chinese around, when it's open I simply won't go anywhere else, the only downside is no delivery. but the quality of the food is worth it

Absolutely outstanding meals full of good quality meat, wide selection of fresh vegetables and beautiful sauces. The best takeaway meals we have tried in a long time. The only meal I have disliked from here is the Chicken Chow Mein which was only noodles, minimal beansprouts and chicken with no onions, barely any sauce. It was dry and honestly was more of a side than a main meal. I wouldn't recommend this dish. Unfortunately the chips have been awful, dry, bad bits, thin scrappy and stale the last couple of times we have had them. Have you changed them or changed the process or way you cook them? Or have they been sitting out under a heat lamp? This is such a shame as they spoilt our meals, I spent the entire time picking them out as they were inedible. They used to be beautiful and melt in your mouth, so this is very disappointing. I would come back as the meals are too good, but I'll opt for rice next time.

Best Chinese takeaway in the east end!

Tried it a few years back and it wasn’t great tbh and I was hesitant to go back as I have to travel 10 mile there and back. Since the new owners have took over, it’s the best Chinese takeaway in Newcastle! Believe me I’ve tried them all! The only thing I would say is I normally prefer the fat noodles for chow mein and these do the thin vermicelli noodles, however it’s really nice. Everything I’ve had has been spot on. Chow mein, Crispy honey chilli, curry, creamy black pepper, chilli salt & pepper. The staff don’t bother with building Rapport with the customer but who cares as long as the food is good. Probably because they’re too busy haha. Good thing they don’t deliver otherwise I’d be 20 clem!

Food is absolutely amazing and consistent which is a big thing for a takeaway. Only thing I’d personally like them to do is deliver.

Lovely syngapor chow mein. Mandarin has been here as long as I have. Don't go too often but it's very nice.

Ordered a meal each for me and the hubby was nice, we ordered salt and chilli pepper prawns to share on top I was really disappointed 😣 they were very overcooked and the batter was chewy and rubbery like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a couple of hours. Defo not freshly cooked. Waste of a meal.

I've just gone and found my new favourite Chinese takeaway! The quality of the food from Mandarin is exceptional, and also beautifully presented. Was ready on arrival and piping hot when I got back home. Five stars for this place. If I could give a sixth I would. They're not on Just Eat and they don't deliver, but that's a good thing because it saves both the takeaway and the customer money. I've got no problem at all phoning an order in and going to collect it.

Best takeaway in Wallsend, this takeaway has been here for years but only started coming here when it changed hands over a year ago as I heard good things. Great family service & amazing food. I always judge a Chinese by their curry & theirs is good. Try their black pepper dishes. They don't deliver but well worth putting your socks on to pick up & meet the family.
