Great hotel with amazing view if you are facing the beach. A short 5 minute walk from the front door and you'll have sand at your feet. Lovely staff and restaurant. All very clean and quiet. Room was fitted with tv with a great picture and size of screen. Air con in the room was fab as the heating is on with it being winter. Proper plug sockets in the room was a plus for me also. I have enjoyed my say and the gorgeous sunrise and sunset here. Highly recommend and high chance of return.

Went mid morning and the young lady was really helpful and polite so we decided after a walk to call back for lunch. Not such a good experience as after the young lady serving at the bar( not the same one as earlier )handled the dogs bowl from outside and never washed her hands we asked her to wash them at which we received uncalled for attitude, and after being stood in a queue for about 10 minutes we felt this was not in anyway professional or hygienic so we decided to leave.

We checked in on 27th may 2024 When we opened our door to our hotel room we immediately stepped back with the heat that was present in the room, the curtains were shut and there was a desk fan on full in a attempt to cool the room which failed as it was 28c in the room and 15c outside. I checked the air conditioning system and found it wasn’t working, there was no airflow at all from the vent and to make matters worse there was no means to open the windows as they are sealed. The room was very small with 1 double & 2 singles all touching as the room really was so small. It was quite clear at this point at when we attempt to go to sleep 4 bodies would only add to this temperature making the room well over 30c. We attempted to complain at reception and was told the air conditioning was intermittently working, this was a lie, there was absolutely no air flow at any point of our stay plus this is a sealed room. We was given a jug of ice which did absolutely nothing apart condensate all over the desk and into our belongings. We could not sit in the room at all, no even for a shower the heat was absolutely ridiculous and unbearable with no air. We left the room and didn’t return till 10:30pm to which the room was still the exact same temperature, we attempted to go to sleep without success, we couldn’t breathe!! We left the room at 8:30am the following morning absolutely exhausted from no sleep and we all physically felt ill from no air all night. This ruined our plans for the following day as we had to go straight home as we were all exhausted, this was an absolutely horrendous experience!!! Now on a professional level I am a gas engineer and part of his job is ventilation, whilst in the room i took several photos of the conditions plus a video proving there was zero airflow in or out of the room. Which means we was breathing our own CO2 all night as the room is completely sealed (basically a tomb), no doubt the small room with 4 bodies had a CO2 content of over 2800ppm. To allow us to stop in this room was not only illegal but also negligible of the hotel management. Plus we know from talking to other residents our room wasn’t the only room with these conditions. Room been allowed to be booked in these conditions are potential death traps and I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t have an incident before much longer. This hotel shouldn’t have been open under these conditions!!!l

Fantastic value - honestly couldn’t fault the room on the whole. The service was impeccable as well. The only small issue was the “ultimate WiFi” was unusable, so check they have fixed that before paying for it. Phone signal wasn’t great either inside the room - but the amazing 5g outside the room was 900mbps!! Another great feature was a multimedia faceplate for the television, so you could plug your laptop in and watch your own programs (if the internet had worked!). But if you make sure your content is downloaded before you go in to the room you’ll be set! Beefeater meal deal is worth adding to your booking - the food is fantastic and worthwhile, we did breakfast and dinner. Couldn’t be closer to the beach, you could literally walk out the front door and down the steps to the beach! Perfect!

Had booked a twin room for a family room so a double bed and a bed settee, settee needed bedding and there was not enough towels, had to wait quite a while for bed making up.

Hair dryer didn't work. Floor was wet right next to bed, probably a previous guest, one rubbish pillow each, had to ask for more. No lounge chair in the room. Quite shabby for premier inn. Location is great however.

Found this pub on a weekend away trip, popped in for a pint, good lager & selection of other drinks, good traditional boozer with mod cons, very cheap drink, (2 pints for less than £6), bar staff very attentive & full of information. Went back on Saturday nt, and it had live music on, pub was busy, band were excellent, played old & new rock hits, atmosphere was great. Will definitely visit again if I'm down the way.

Fabulously restored iconic building. This area has been completely refurbished over the past few years with the road moved and a new pedestrianised area facing the sea and connecting with the refurbished seafront promenade. Good shops bars and restaurants. Look for the lyrics to the Dire Straits song about Spanish City carved into the floor.....

The food was great. I tried the king prawn risotto starter and smoked salmon salad starter and they were both lovely. The risotto in particular. Perfectly seasoned. Wild mushroom gnocchi and beef medallions for mains were both exceptionally well cooked and again perfectly seasoned. Didn't touch the salt and pepper on the table once. For the quality of the food it was very reasonably priced as well so can't complain on that front. Restaurant is in a lovely location but unless you have a window seat then the decor does seem slightly dated but that's personal taste. The service was quick and efficient throughout and we retired to the connecting pub afterwards for a few drinks. All in all, well worth the visit.
