I would give 4 and 1/2 if I could. The food is better than decent. Decent seating area. Quick service. Tasty parathas, good sized portions. Also recommend their makkai Di roti and saag. More than satisfying.

We are extreamly happy with the tast food we just had from Maharaja. First of all, the service was really good. Robin was really friendly and very welcoming. He never hesitated to fulfill our requests even though we came in the last minute. Food was really tasty and very good quantity. Food was very fresh and very satisfying. We ordered veg thali, veg samosa chaat, chili mogo and paneer parata. Every dish was full of flavours and were satisfying. I recommend this place for anybody in search of really tasty panjabi food. Once again, we specially thank Robin for amazing service.

Like this restaurant, not too fancy just functional, so no atmosphere as such but the food is great. Have tried the stuffed parathas and chole bhature and love them both. Big portions and good value. Have been here multiple times.

Tried masala tea and samosa here on a cold day. Tea was fantastic. I am not a big fan of boiled potato stuffing in the samosa, so can’t really suggest it to other. Very friendly staff, good chatting with them, quick service, freshly prepared, clean place, next time we want to try some other veg items as chole bhature looks yummy there.

Having heard A LOT about this place on various local whatsapp groups, we ventured here for some much raved about 'chole bature' which seemed to be the most recommended thing to have. So we ordered that and a methi paratha. In my head, a batura needs to come out all fluffed up, but here both were flat. By this time I looked at pictures too on the reviews and they all seemed to be the same. Oh well, that's not the end of the world, because they tasted like the real deal. Chole were nice too. But were they the best? Arguable. Methi paratha - yes made from fresh ingredients but did miss salt completely. I think that would have made a real difference. It was nice though, but again I could name a few places that I prefer for that too. The pickle is home-made, great, but doesn't taste a whole load like pickle. We ended with the special 'punjabi tea'. All I can say it wasn't for us. It's homely food, and there were things on the menu I wouldn't mind trying, so maybe I'd go again. It's a clean diner style place. Now finally the guy serving us - very pleasant, very friendly. He told us how they make their own yogurt and paneer. He was a little on the pushy side that we must tell others on whatsapp..Obviously trying to get as much marketing done as possible. TBH it's a crowded market, but the fact that the food is fresh, it's homely is good enough for me.

Hi everyone! We went to Maharaja twice last week. It’s home-style cooking at its best. Let it be the warm service or the way they go out of their way to accommodate your special requests; this is a place for a Desi treat. Meant for all the paratha, makke ki roti, lassis, and chole bhature lovers. Portions are generous, and most things are made to order. Must-go place. There is an Aunty (elderly lady who looks like the owner) who cooks food there & she is the real magic there. They have been open for over a year now, and if they continue the way they are going, it will be difficult to find a seat there in the near future! PS: Buy their gud-pare off their counter.

If you're looking for a restaurant that serves amazing parathas, look no further than MahaRaja! This establishment is true to its name, serving up parathas fit for a king. This restaurant does not understand the difference between Paneer tikka masala (a CURRY) and chilli paneer (a starter). Paneer tikka masala comes with gravy in every single Indian restaurant to be eaten with naan or chappati but apparently they pride in their DRY paneer tikka masala which smells and tastes exactly like chilli paneer but they call it “paneer tikka masala”. How is someone meant to eat a dry curry with naan?? I called to confirm this and i was spoken to in a rude way and they did not take accept this clear difference between the 2!! I am really disappointed in their food and i hope they learn the obvious difference between paneer tikka masala and chilli paneer! I also ordered kofta curry and daal tadka which both seemed very watery. I won’t order from here again nor go there and I’ll tell my friends and family not to as well

Visited on the 14th Jan as a recommendation from a family friend. The food is very good, authentic Punjabi and reasonably priced. However there is room for improvement as below. Greet your customers, seat them and provide menus early not when prompted. Tell customers you're cash only and you need to go to the counter to place your order. Mains should come out together not one at a time. Customers shouldn't have to ask for cutlery. It should come with the plates and dishes. Plates should be warm or hot not cold and wet. I would say that the restaurant has some kinks to iron out for those wishing to dine in and until then I'd recommend ordering for takeaway as the food is excellent. I hope to dine here again in a few months time when they've got their act together. :-)

Very disappointed, avoid. Family member recommended this place so I was excited to try it. Long story short; go to Ram's Pure Vegetarian in Harrow, or order from here as take-away/delivery only. Actual review... start with the staff. We were a party of 6, and there were 2 staff. The lady at the front of house was very rude; berated us for not ASKING her to clear our table then ranted about us to the chef in Punjabi (we know because we speak Pubjabi!). Very snappy, not friendly at all. The second member of staff was the chef, we only spoke to her once but she wouldn't speak to us, she'd turn to the other lady and have her answer us. A male member of staff showed up later into the evening but we didn't get a chance to interact with him. Food and drinks took forever. We were told that food and drink were going to be cooked and served one at a time... and they were. I'm actually writing this review while still in the restaurant because my main was served first so I'm just sitting here bored waiting for everyone else to eventually be served. I get there's only two members of staff... but it's a Saturday night!? Most restaurants are busy at the weekend, but they couldn't even handle one table. Sauce pots on the table were genuinely disgusting. Empty but some were covered in dry sauce. Restaurant was dead quiet for the most part, really awkward. Food, honestly, was great - except my Veg Haka Noodles, it just tasted like cheap takeaway. Worth the wait? Maybe. But worth enduring everything else? Absolutely not, go somewhere else OR just order from here as a takeaway/delivery. Food is great, restaurant and staff leave a lot to be desired. (To the owners who may have noticed - yes, I did previously leave this review for a different location, that has been removed)

I recently ordered a takeaway from Zara Restaurant, and it was fantastic! The chips were fried to perfection - crispy on the outside and soft inside. The pitta with cheese and fresh salad was delicious, and the chilli sauce was the real star, adding an amazing burst of flavour to every bite. Highly recommend Zara Restaurant for anyone craving a flavorful, well-prepared meal!

I ordered Cheese garlic naan, not cheesy enough. Tasted good so 8/10. Ordered a paneer masala, very well presented, saucy, good portion, lacked a bit of buttery/richnesss & masala. 6/10. And last but not least ordered a Pilau Rice, oddly came with sweetcorn. First time in my life, considering I’ve eat at all my locals in Edgware & Harrow, that it came with sweetcorn, I’ve worked in a restaurant kitchen & bakery myself for 8 years, never have I seen “pilau” rice mixed with sweetcorn, horrible, 2/10.
