The Village Inn in Harrow

Host was really nice, however waiter needs more service skills. And how he speaks to his guests dinning. Food was cold. Then was told that because the sauce is cold, that then makes the temperature of the chicken cold? Within seconds. Then asked for water for the table and didn't receive it. Saw my own waiter having a wee at the toilet in the guests facilities during service. Asked for cutlery and then it was taken from another table. Waiter was complaining that he was on his own in his section that comprised of 4/5 tables? Service in general was terrible. Real let down for a miller and carter brand.

Terrible terrible terrible.. messed up my order. Sent me the chips without the fish and then would not rectify their mistake!! Chips were cold and hard.. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! poor customer service.

Such nice restaurant, especially their kosha mangsho. My Caribbean friend loved it so much. I used to drive all the way there only to eat in this restaurant. It is so sad that it closed down.

The food is to the T, very welcoming, they added extra spice to the fries, must try!

Food was OK, we had the mixed grill for starters and chicken madras, Keema Nan for mains amongst other dishes, our main concern was the general friendliness of the staff towards my family and I. I could see other guests being treated very differently to us, they were being very attentive and friendly, whilst we were just left to our own devices, we had to make a lot of friendly hand gestures to even get the waiters attention. Maybe the staff and restaurant were not used to seeing Asians visit frequently and in turn didn't know how to serve and behave around them. Our visit was planned as we booked a table in good time, however whilst we were there, the whole visit was rushed, the odd occasion when the staff came to our table, dishes and other food containers were cleared away while we were still dining, on one occasion I had to tell the waiter to leave one of the dishes as I was still eating from there. As a result I chose not to pay the service charge as it wasn't deserving. In summary the food was okay but think twice to visit if you're Asian, you 'may' get a different experience to that of other diners.
