The Mac Daddy in Cambridge

We went to their stall at the summer time live in Northampton and they just have a good vibe and very welcoming 10/10 recommend

Super tasty mac n cheese, from some of the friendliest vendors I've ever come across! I had the Mac besto while I was at a festival, it was delicious, and they were so generous with the portion and extra toppings! It looked like they did really good vegan options too. Highly recommend if you come across these guys, I know I'll be heading back!

Mac Daddy did the evening food at our wedding ( a selection of delicious toasties) and were an absolute hit! The service was fantastic, everyone raved about the food and they ran the service for 3 hours and at a real pace. They were a delight!!

The enthusiastic and friendly gentleman running made my day after I visited to buy lunch for my daughter. I had to go plain for her, but the other flavors/toppings looked great.

Mac Daddy were at an event at LIDL RDC Peterborough for 2 days and I went back both days. The Mac with Chorizo and Crispy Onions and Chilli was to die for. Next time I am in Cambridge I will be sure to pay a visit!

Massive portion of incredible Mac and cheese, freshly cooked right in front of your eyes and a great price. Will be returning again.

I love macaroni cheese but I’m always a bit sceptical about getting it from street vendors as I’ve been let down before but the Mac Daddy was amazing! Freshly cooked in front of you, lovely service and amazing taste! All for such a reasonable price too as they give very generous portions! I think this will become a regular treat for me!

I tried the “Mac daddy”, the one with chorizo and it was super tasty. Many places serves too oily and fat Mc and cheese, but this place is not like that. We can feel it is homemade and high quality. It was a really nice experience, I will go again for sure. Probably the best food on the market. 👍🏻

I attended one of the Mac Daddy’s events last night and tried 2 different dishes, the salmon one and the caramelised onion one and they were out of this world! Two big portions for £8, I couldn’t finish them (as much as I wanted to!). If you’re in Cambridge then definitely visit these guys, I can’t recommend them enough!!

Delicious mac and cheese. Pasta is al dente cooked, well seasoned and quite cheesy and creamy. Vegan and a variety of toppings are also available.

Some interesting menu items from pesto and sundries tomato, to chorizo. I chose to Mac Daddy (chorizo). Chorizo was lovely and crispy and I like the addition of fried onion on top. However when it came to Mac it fell a little flat. I hope for a nice thick, cheesy sauce. It should be the star of the show! Unfortunately the sauce was a bit flat but was saved by the chorizo. I think the prices are great, cool menu and friendly service. But for a Mac and cheese dedicated stall, I want the base sauce to be killer!

Cooked fresh to order. This was certainly not like an my Mac n cheese I’ve eaten before. We ordered the Mac n Cheese with chorizo - thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. It was so good even my two Italian friends were complimentary about how the pasta had been cooked. Who am I to argue with that. Give it a try - great value too.

I have frequented The Mac Daddy for more than three months now and it never disappoints. I always get the Mac and Cheese with the chorizo, topped with crispy onions. It’s excellent! Well portioned, tasty, and oh so gooey! Love it!

I tried the mac'n'cheese and its dry, no taste at all clearly lack of salt. AND its £5...not worth it at all.

The Mac Daddy were very friendly and professional, they arrived earlier to ensure they were set up in plenty of time to get serving! Coming equipped with everything they needed, the set up to serving time was swift and flawless. The Mac 'n' Cheese was made fresh and was absolutely delicious, all our staff thoroughly enjoyed it! We would definitely recommend The Mac Daddy to cater for any corporate event and we look forward to welcoming them back in the future!

I was intrigued by a vegan mac cheese, so i went for it. It did not disappoint, lovely and cheesy, sun dried tomatoes and basil, with crunchy onion bits on top. Delicious lunch on the go. supporting independent businesses, supporting alternative flavours. whats not to like? will be visiting again.

Really lovely stall. Great people who are sourcing their ingredients from other stalls in the market which I think is great. Their apple chutney grilled cheese is amazing! And the tomato basil soup was a nice accompaniment. Definitely worth a look

We visited the Mac Daddy stall today, only to find that on a Saturday he also cooks the most FAB home made soup, and cheese and onion chutney toasties, aided by his lovely partner! So enter food heaven.. between my other half, we shared a delish Mac n Cheese, a soup AND a toastie ! Aaah... we’ll be back, thank you !

I had the vegan mac and "cheese" and it was lovely. Very friendly and helpful service, complete with some welcome guidance about vegan cheeses. Really good.

You want a gourmet experience for the adults, but you also want something simple and flavourful for the children. This place is both! The basic M&C; is fresh-made and sumptuous, and if you want, you can them to complicate the recipe a bit for the adults, and that's good, too. And if your kids can't finish theirs (the portions are quite big), you'll secretly enjoying their simple M&C; after you've finished your gourmet stuff!

Best mac N cheese o have tried by a long shot. Was in north Corolina last👍👍👍👍 week and stuff wasn’t as good.

Wow. Thought I’d give this a try after hearing my daughter rave about it and I can honestly say I’ll be back as it’s incredible. The perfect dish, served by lovely people.

Oh my goodness! I’m not one for remembering to review but I have been banging on about how good this was all week!

The ethos of sustainable, local produce is what first interested me, so had to give it a try.

The cheese sauce was very sparse and soon ran out, leaving nothing but plain pasta. A nice idea, but would not recommend (unless you like plain, dry pasta).

We visited this stall last week whilst shopping in Cambridge and would recommend this to anyone. All of us enjoyed this, two had the 'McDaddy' and two of us had the (one with Pesto- sorry cannot remember the name!)

My son is a Mac & Cheese addict, and so when we saw this stall we had to try some. I can honestly say it’s the best Mac & Cheese we’ve ever tasted. And the stall holder was lovely and friendly. Highly recommended!
