The Lounge by the Clyde in West Dunbartonshire

Popped in today for a lunch after shopping a 3 course lunch for 10.50 was on offer, we ordered drinks then lunch i had black pudding fritters with salad and a peppercorn sauce partner had chicken strips with bbq sauce we both opted for steak pie with veg and chips and then we both had sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream we had 3 drinks each and had change from 50 pound 0utstanding value wasnt expecting much but was pleasantly surprised the food was absolutely beautiful service was brilliant and staff friendly with definitely return

Can not fault the pub staff and food what an amazing night me and my friend & kids have had but can I just say the boy Scott was such an amazing bar man and so friendly, he went above and beyond for us, we arrived late and he still got us a table anyway, all the staff we’re lovely but Scott was just a pleasure

We were visiting Clydebank and were looking for somewhere to eat. We were directed to The Lounge. The service was excellent,from the initial welcome from the manager to the great service from our waitress. Food was excellent and truly enjoyed. Would not hesitate to visit again.

Had to go up to bar after waiting 15 minutes after being seated for order to be taken despite 3 members of staff walking passed table several times place was not busy , female staff member not wearing required face mask and no evidence shown to say she was exempt when order taken,then waited at least 25 minutes for starter no cutlery given server just put plates on table and walked away so after few minutes again up to bar to ask for cutlery, finished starter and again staff just walking passed table collecting glasses from rowdy table of 2guys who were continually walking about and not asked to wear face mask ,and serving them even more alcohol despite them singing very loudly and 1guy shouting at other customers with children saying he that he knew them, main course arrived about 20 minutes after starter ,by this time another 2 guys joined rowdy table which got even louder that we could not hear each other talking.staff just kept serving more double vodkas and pints or lager not once were they asked to be quieter as disturbing other customers ,we finished meal and went up to bar to pay bill and was asked if we were leaving because of rowdy table when we said yes the guy just said ok no offer to move us to another table.This was my first and last visit to this place. Only good thing to say was typical pub food but was hot.

It was a very busy evening and we we’re really well looked after by Melissa! She made the night run fantastic and the drinks kept flowing even under a busy service!

Melissa and Lisa was very helpful, communicative and overall fantastic. Definitely booking this for the next night out xx

Great atmosphere food was amazing. Shout out to our waitress Mel she was brilliant couldn’t ask for better she had great banter (I’ve missed this during lockdown) fantastic service always making sure we had our drinks and wanted for nothing. Will definitely be back x

Waited 20 minutes to be served. Another 30 mins for the food to come out, which was cold. Ordered dessert - waited 35 mins and it still hadn’t appeared, so gave up and asked for the bill. Asked the waitress to make sure the desserts hadn’t been charged. When I mentioned that we’d waited 35 mins for them, she laughed and gave a half-arsed apology. Much nicer places in Clydebank - don’t waste your time or money!

I was in yesterday and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and great value for money and the speed of service was really fast, The staff Mel and Shan were amazing very polite and professional checked back on us regularly making sure our experience was one to remember showing great customer service. The place was busy for just 2 members of staff but what I also noticed (which I haven’t in other restaurants) was them making sure all touch points and toilets for customers were sanitised through our visit again showing amazing customer by making it as safe for us as humanly possible. Overall this was an amazing experience I will definitely be back thank you Mel and Shan

Popped in yesterday for some food and drinks and the gent and lady running the bar downstairs were great. The gent was very funny and a great upseller. Gemma is doing a fantastic job this evening, demonstrating excellent customer service skills by welcoming guests with a warm, friendly greeting and providing speedy and accurate service.

Great to be back after lockdown. Food was lovely, service great and is excellent value. However the manager appears to be quite rude and abrupt, which is a shame. Hopefully it was first day nerves.

Me and a few friends were in for lunch on Monday 21st December and had an absolutely delightful time. Food was quick and tasted amazing. Staff were lovely,very friendly and welcoming. We will no doubt be back once lockdown is over for a few of the cocktails.

Have been here a few times and the food is amazing with loads of choices in the breakfast menu and set menu. Prices are great value for money. Staff are always polite and friendly and always offer a warm welcome. Would definitely recommend.
