Best fish and chips I've ever had! Brillant atmosphere and good value for money. Amazing for family and friends. 10/10 recommended. THINK FISH&CHIPS THINK BLUE LAGOON

Service was really good, however I ordered the fish tea with two fish and mushy peas, one battered fish and the other done in breadcrumbs. Both fish were so thin, and it felt like just eating batter. I would say it's really not representing our fish n chips in any good light to all the tourists from afar and locals that the chippy gets, it really should have been better than what it was. Even the ketchup was the cheapest of the sauces. It's Disappointing as we do cherish our fish n chips.

Beautiful place near loch lomond, we order gluten free batter fish it’s soooo delicious, light, and crispy. The chips come fresh, the mac and cheese also tasty. The place is so clean and the service is good 👍🏻

Beautiful surroundings, bright and clean.The service was 1st class, lovely lady with a helpful cheerful attitude. The fish and chips were so tasty, crispy batter and pure white fish, delicious mushy peas and chips. Lovely coffee too. We will be back 😀

2110hrs on New Year’s Eve. No fish and chips were ready but I was in no rush. You said about 15min. You may recall I sat in the car with my dogs to keep them from getting upset, and asked you to wave when it was ready. I don’t know if it was just because it was freshly made as I waited but whatever, best fish supper I have had for years. Absolutely ace, and I don’t usually post reviews. Thank you.

Well let me tell ya . Great grandma was not wrong about these chippies I’ll tell ya what. Large and in charge halibut with the best damn breading I’ve had on some good ol chippies. But the tartar sauce here was really one of the biggest and brightest shining stars . I loved my time even tho lady did find bones ..

Really disappointed today bought two bags of chips and they were disgusting lumpy and black bits over them.Surprised because the chips are usually good.

Ordered chips today from here and they were disgusting. Completely inedible. I did go back with them and the staff were apologetic and replaced with a fresh batch which were also horrible and hard and covered with oil. If it's the oil that's the issue like I was told then maybe they should change it. Would avoid!

It was quite late in the evening, and all the restaurants in Luss, Lock Lomand we're closed. We found this nice restaurant in Balloch, with a lovely server named Mariia. She was quite friendly and attentive and such a pleasure to meet. The food and service was great!

We contacted via email to check they were doing GF food. Prompt email response saying yes they were. We tried to make an online order but were unable to specify no vinegar on the GF meal (we had the option in standard meals) We decided to call and make the order instead to be sure we had the right things. The lady on the phone was very polite, asked my name, took time to get the full order including the salt and vinegar etc I was advised the order would be ready in 15 minutes. My daughter went to collect the order, but was told when sh arrived that they hadn't started it. They didn't know what we wanted in the meals....they also didn't know my name... Anyway, my daughter gave them the info and waited another 15 minutes for the order to be ready. We had plans for the night and this delay just meant we had to alter our plans slightly - not drastic, but frustrating all the same. I ordered and sausage supper and was most disappointed. The sausage was pretty bland and nothing like any other sausage I have had from any other chip shop in Scotland. The chips were terrible. Lukewarm at best... The GF fritters were delicious but the GF battered smoked sausage was disappointing as there was very little batter on it. The two fish suppers we ordered went down well....although the batter on it was pretty thick. Very good portion size. Overall, the food was probably average and the service was below par. Such a shame as we are always on the lookout for places that provide GF options.

Came for the fish and chips as the reviews looked good but they weren’t great. Soggy chips, flavourless greasy fish and a chicken burger similar to one from McDonalds rather than a big battered chicken breast. Maybe we do chippys different in Northern Ireland but this didn’t hit the spot.

Waited 30 mins for portion of chips as a walk in customer!!! Chips were ok but nothing to write home about. Folk were waiting before I arrived. Sorry to say I won't be back based off this experience. Prices a bit high as well but its in a prime tourist area.

I have an issue with Blue Lagoon Gluten Free pricing policy. As an example, a Smoked Sausage and Chips costs £6.40 to take away. The sausage and the chips are naturally gluten free. If I specify Gluten Free Smoked Sausage and Chips the price goes up to £8.45. A £2.05 increase just for using the words Gluten Free when placing the order. An increase of 32%. I do not think this is in any way justified. I did previously write to Blue Lagoon about this, and they fobbed me off by saying each of its restaurants has its own pricing policy. For those of us who have to follow a gluten free diet for medical reasons, this is nothing short of exploiting the sick.

Last time here with my son was about 25 years ago,came back with the missus and yes its still as i remember it,food was great ,old school chips the way they should be and 4oz burger,missus had fish both good ,waitress was young girl,excellent service and good manners,very polite.

The boy with the glasses evan i think his name was made me want to come back fantastic customer skills, and prepared my food with a little conversation food was fantastic

Excellent fish, chips and peas.

Very nice fish and chips. Technically a chain but it has all the classic chippie staples. We just had basic cod and chips but it was a prime specimen of the artform. They also gave us a bowl of water for the dogs and provided the sausage we ordered for them nicely cut up and without batter to be pet friendly. Admittedly the whole thing is probably a bit pricier than a non-chain chippie.

Has halal options and a separate fryer for them which was a really nice surprise.

Ho apprezzato che una famiglia è entrata seduti non ha mangiato e se ne sono andati perché i figli faceva capricci. Alla loro uscita hanno ripulito il tavolo e le sedie. Sono gentili e pietanza buona ma non si sforzano a venirti incontro con la lingua, parlano esclusivamente inglese e anche chi lo sa fa fatica a capirli.

Worst chippy chips I've had in a long time. Was looking forward to these after the loch lomond cruise, they were undercooked, funky tasting potatoes and so greasy, oil obviously needing changed.

Got a medium bag of chips with a buttered roll and 2cans of sprite 3.80 for a small oration of chips mostly reheats got to my car and thought about the price I had paid for my order 11.95 went back to query it overcharged by 2.80 so wee warning check what your being charged to be fair the supervisor handled it very well impressed with her but was a less than average lunch

I arrived in Balloch earlier in the day and after checking in at the guest house, I went for a walk through the Castle's gardens... I left the garden through a different exit than I had entered and this was directly across the road. Also noteworthy is that there is a children's playground opposite if you want to grab takeaway and make a day of it with the little ones. There is street parking available but there is also a carpark at the gardens. First impressions are really good... it is ocean blue and quite attractive as you approach. There are two entrances to the business, one will take you to the takeaway area the second into the restaurant. Staff were friendly and efficient. Menu has extensive choices. Also another nice touch is that the menu has the story of the owners and how their business grew. The only downfall for this restaurant is it's prices... they are quite pricy. A regular chips with gravy was five pounds thirty - I have attached photos... this is quite small for the price.
