The Lord Raglan in Wokingham

I chose the seabass. It came with herby, buttered new potatoes, broccoli and cabbage. There was a delicious sauce with it. I loved it.. The staff were accommodating and helpful as well as being polite and efficient. This was not our first time here and it will not be the last.

Great pub - food options for everyone. Freya served us all evening and was very attentive. Will definitely be returning!

Didn't eat , just met with friends before our dinner reservations else where. Bar staff indifferent to us , no small talk, no niceties . One nice chatty guy waiting on tables pulled some together as there was a lot of us, appreciated that. Kids screaming in restaurant. Didn't see any food so can't say if it looked good.

Henry was a Great waiter. Can’t praise him enough. Food was really good as always as we go here quite a lot. However. My daughter’s meal (pie and mash) had a hair in the pie when we cut it open. In fairness they offered to replace it straight away (great). However both my wife and I had finished our meals before the replacement came out. Henry said that the boss had said it was not their fault as they buy the pies in. No appology from the management. No offer of money off. Pretty poor guys. Means we won’t come back due to poor customer service.

Great service for the second evening in a row by Charlie. Food was good and prompt couple of beers and food all within 30 mins so we left happy customers.

Visited the Lord Raglan with three friends yesterday. Not everything on the menu was available, however, the girl who showed us to our table made sure to advise us straight away. Decent enough selection of lagers. Food was very nice and our waitress, Sophia, was lovely. Apparently it was her first weekend working there but we wouldn't have known if she hadn't told us! Have also been there for lunch recently and sat in the garden room. Food was excellent then, so seems pretty consistent.

Great food that is over and above pub food. The guy serving us was energetic and very competent, it looked like he was on his own until around 8pm when another person arrived who was also great. Large portions and just interesting good food. Surprised it only cost £150 for 5 people including starters and drinks. Also dog friendly.

To be fair it’s Mother’s Day so we expected slow service but it really was slow, seemed like not enough staff for the amount of people .Finally received our starters but had to continually chase for cutlery and hot starter was going cold . Asked for cutlery for mains as they were clearing starters away but still had to chase again for it . Mains was served but we weren’t asked if any condiments or sauces were required with meal. There was no check back to see how our meals were . Roast beef was fine but roast lamb was very tough. Dessert we asked for ice cream to accompany and got both custard and ice cream and then For the bill we were charged for 3 course meals when in fact, we had all had 2 course meals so we had to point that out . Music choice was great , if slightly a little loud but it was a shame as so many people were sitting and seemed to be waiting for their meals. . Was extremely busy though so hopefully on quieter days it would be a nice place to go

Great night out in the raglan, enjoying the smoked platter for 2 and a tray of wings for 4 between 4 friends. There’s also a fantastic selection of beers and ales available. We were seated comfortably in the conservatory area and looked after very well by Chloe. The wings arrived first, with our chosen four dips. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed that the wings were full wings and not the tiny half wings everywhere else seems to think it’s acceptable to serve. The skin was crispy and well seasoned and the dips we chose were all great in bowls big enough to actually dip the wing into. The meat platters arrived after suitable time had passed and we could not believe the size of them. There was Asian flavour pork belly , which was my personal favourite, pork’s rack of ribs in bbq sauce, sausage and brisket beef. All was very tasty but between the four of us we managed to eat just over half of it and the rest was boxed up to take home. Stupidly we also ordered seasoned fries, corn on the cob and coleslaw. I enjoyed the slaw but did not touch the fries or corn options to do my best to eat my half of the platter. When we were all defeated we all said we’d go again but share one platter between 4 of us but still have the wings first. A great experience, well looked after by Chloe throughout the evening and will definitely return

We went for the smokehouse night, wow we wasn’t disappointed you have to pre order the food there was loads of it and top quality meat and the chefs did well cooking it. We had very attentive server who was always on hand to get us what we wanted so a credit to her and the way she conducts herself, thanks Chloe, Tom 😉

This is such a gem of a pub. Outstanding food which is restaurant quality, great drink selection, superb staff and lovely atmosphere.

This was the first time that we'd been to The Lord Raglan so didn't know what to expect. My friend is registered blind so we asked for a set with bright light and we were offered the closed off conservatory. There was bright light above some of the tables so we had one of those. I chose the pan-fried salmon which came with cabbage, broccoli and sated baby potation. I asked for extra sauce and the whole thing was delicious. My friend chose the pie, mushy peas and mashed potato and he loved it. The members of staff were attentive but not intrusive. We hope to go again one day next time we are in Wokingham.

Had to write this review because we had a lovely lunch today-delicious food/great portions at a reasonable price!! & staff are wonderful! So relaxing & welcoming-we will be back -thank you x

Need more staff guys….. 3 people to cover the bar and serve food on a busy Friday is lunacy. You will lose staff and more importantly customers if not addressed. Shame as this place does a lot right, but it was only 7:30pm and people were kicking off as food was unserved and long wait for drinks.

We have regularly used this restaurant for lunch as the food as always been very good however this time we were disappointed. Whilst the burgers we had were very good the pies which have always been of exceptional quality were very disappointing, the filling was not very substantial and the pastry hard compared to previous pies which is completely opposite to the previous pies.

Cider lovely, staff very good, roast dinner way below standard, was Luke warm and lamb was grissley and over done, me and my partner had to get are food reheated, roast potatoes are not wat I call roast potatoes. Apart from that, waitress we had was lovely and staff were professional. Gave a fiver tip.

I was greated by a very rude staff member the food tasted like it had just come out of a freezer and had Bearley seen an oven, I have been ill since I had visited this place would not recommend to anyone

We booked a table for 10 on possibly the busiest day of the year - the day of Wokingham Winter Carnival. The staff were incredibly helpful, under a lot of pressure. They happily added extra seats to our table, took our orders, and delivered food and drink cheerfully and quickly. The food was excellent - everyone enjoyed their meal! Well done!

After forgetting to book a table Tom kindly managed to squeeze us in! The roast was delicious and the service great. We would highly recommend the food and staff.

A family Sunday lunch for our son’s 20th birthday ( he’s at uni in Reading) we had to find somewhere as we were all travelling from different places so I looked on trip advisor and wasn’t disappointed! My chicken was so tasty and I was told the beef was delicious. Lovely staff and reasonably priced. Difficult to please everyone but the lord raglan ticked all the boxes for us!

Not really happy with the food or service having eaten here in the past and was genuinely happy on previous occasions. It appears the pub has changed ownership. The beer menu has gone as has the excellent selection. The menu was mainly burger based. We went there for our daughter’s birthday as a treat her choice as she used to like it here. I’m sad to say my burger was overdone with a burnt taste and my daughter barely ate her chicken burger. My wife also did not like her pie as it was over done. I’m not sure how this happened however as our food was brought out very quickly both courses with no break between. I had to cancel my drink order as it hadn’t turned up and I had finished my meal. The pub was closed recently for a refurb but all I could see was a slight change in the colour scheme as it does seem to be owned by someone else other than Big Smoke who opened the pub 3 years ago to a high standard. We won’t be rushing to go back and felt sad we chose to go here for our daughter’s birthday.

Absolutely cannot fault the new team, great service. Despite a busy evening, the new manager (Tom) was attentive and engaging, reading the room and making sure everything was OK. Food is always good, served hot and good value for money. A great night out
