We regularly visit the little rose tea room. There is always a warm welcome, the staff are so friendly and chatty. They have a wide range of home made cakes and the food is always top quality. No idea what they do to the toast it is amazing :)

Nice to see a family run business doing well in the area, food quality is excellent prices are reasonable, highly recommend to anyone in the area

Thank you for the lovely warm welcome for my family on a wet and cold Nos Galon. We had hot chocolate and cake and enjoyed. Staff were lovely and helpful- great ambassadors for the town.

¿Qué mejor manera de tener una escapada de compras con su esposa que visita esta pequeña joya. Situado en la calle principal de Monte frente a Islandia es un paraíso para descansar las piernas cansadas (y billetera) y recuperar fuerzas para la siguiente ronda de compras. Un salto en esta mañana y tenía un delicioso queso sandwichera con una taza de té para dos personas. Tazas de China realmente Real hacen el sabor de té mejor. Mi esposa y yo tuvimos tres tazas de té cada uno de la taza. Sólo puedo recomendar este salón de té.

Came here with my sister and ordered 3 toasties 2 with salad. One came back without salad so asked to be told we did not ask for salad. Advised that we were happy to pay extra if we hadn't been charged for it. Toastie was taken away to add salad and the 2 women behind the counter proceeded to say things about us loud enough for us to hear. Will not return as I don't feel welcome at all!!

Fantastic food and delicious desserts with friendly, helpful and happy staff. Call in for Lunch, Afternoon Tea or just a cuppa and a cake also including Sunday Lunch.

This little tea room is a blast from the past. You can either have a cake stand with dainties on and tea in a china cup with a saucer or you can have mixed sandwiches. You can also have a hot meal such as chili con carni, lasagne, baked potato with topping of your choice plus salad and a variety of home made cake. It's spotlessly clean with Beautiful damask white table clothes, and each table is set with china cups and saucers and side plates. I have never seen one of these type tea rooms since the 50's when I was in the army and we used to go to a similar place in Liphook in Surrey. I look forward to my cup of tea here every time I am out shopping, but it is getting so popular now that you have to get there a little before lunch time otherwise you have no chance of getting a seat. There is also a wonderful camaraderie atmosphere there even if you don't know the person sitting next to you conversation flows. Pat the hostess and her staff greet you with a friendly smile and are very polite to everyone. If ever you are in Mountain Ash please make the effort and pop in for a quick cuppa and a fancy.
